Costco return policy for TVs
Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me whether you can return/rebuy a TV at Costco with no hassle? The Vizio 70" picked up a manufacturer's rebate last week (>$300!). I'm within my 30 day window, but according to the return desk, they can only adjust price within 14 days for manufacturer rebate items. So, I'm faced with the choice of 1) buying the TV for $1579 and returning that unit with my original receipt (~$1900), or 2) having to take the original unit off the wall, repackage, etc., etc., and return it. Any recommendations? Option 1 is my preference, naturally, as I think it's better for everyone involved (since they don't have to deal with an open box item). If I'm forced to Option 2, how does that affect my SquareTrade warranty? Can I transfer it to the new device? Thanks! |
why don't you call the costco where you bought the tv and ask them the same question you posted in here?

maybe the price protection benefit from your credit card apply in this case

That was my plan, but they weren't open when I posted this. According to the guy who answered the phone there, they will let me do option #1, which is very good!

i agree with jack bauer 24. really you should go to the costco and speak to the manager and ask him to just do the credit so you can save the time and effort.

It's 90 days return policy for TV's.

Do this, buy the same TV and exit, then turn around and get in the return line and return the TV you just bought with OLD receipt.
I have done this before, you might have to send ST your new receipt, they don't care as long as the warranty is within 30 days of purchase. Quote:
