I found Crest blinkies in Smith's (Kroger) dental care aisle today with a long exp. date --

$0.75/1 Crest 3D White Toothpaste 4.0oz or higher, exp 6/30/13.

Should match up very well with lots of drugstore sales, IDK what the sale price is on it this week.

mikepearson 02-01-2013 06:43 PM

Kleenex goes back to .99. It looks like a second shot at the DD.

I just found these at WAGS last night. They were actually in the store putting up the blinkies and tearpads. I was stalking them a little but they had just started. I wanted to take their cart and run. I will go back today and see what else they put up.

The 325 mg Bayer should be a great deal.

$3.49 and B1g1 50% off = $5.23
there is a 1.50/1 Bayer 20 ct +, 325 mg or 500 mg in the 1/6 SS
stacked with the IVC
.12 ea.

joee2557 02-05-2013 06:39 PM

The IVC states chewable, are the 24ct chewable or just the 36 ct?

I dont have the book, but referencing what is typed on the Monthly IVC Thread:

Bayer Aspirin (24 to 36 ct) $1 off (5531) pg 43

36 ct. are chewable looking at the Wags site.

IVC says 24 to 36 ct Bayer Aspirin but has a picture of the chewables. I was hoping the regular not the chewables would work? What do you think? Thanks

I dont see why the IVC wouldnt, we usually go by the writing, not the picture. I'll try the IVC tomorrow on both and see what works.

I haven't done a deal with a BOGO and IVC in several months. However, at that time, the price of the BOGO item was determined AFTER the IVC was applied.

So in this case the register will determine that the first item is $2.49 ($3.49 - $1.00) and that the BOGO50% item would be $1.24 (1/2 of $2.49). If this is still the way the register works then the two Bayer would total $3.73 after the IVC was applied and NOT the $3.23 like you would expect. So then after the $1.50 MCs the total would be $0.73 for 2.

Has anyone tried anything like this recently? How is it working these days?

yesiamblonde 02-07-2013 09:02 AM

Thanks for the early previews Pwcpal!! :flowers2:

Do you know which sizes are included in the Kleenex tissue - $.99?
The week of 2/10 sizes 50,75,90 & 184 are BOGO and hoping the week of 2/17 these sizes are in the $.99 pricepoint.
I really want to take advantage of the $.50/3 Kleenex Facial Tissue (3/23/13) SS 2/10/13 and the National cat Buy 6, get $1.50 or buy 7+,get $2. Tia!

Can someone help me understand Wags policies a little better? I am looking at the Kraft Homestyle Dinners on sale 2/$4. I was going to use the IVC for $1. I have 2 MQs of $1/2. Can I use both MQs on this purchase or can I just use one?

Thanks in advance.

Tia!

Saw the ad scan on a blog. Sad to report it looks like the DD won't work again for the same reason.

If you buy 4 boxes then yes you can use 2 of the $1 off 2 coupons. You'll only need 1 IVC whether you get 2 boxes or 4.

WBBell 02-13-2013 05:05 AM

Has anyone tried buying Kleenex recently to see if the national cat started working again? Even without the overlapping offer, it's I don't necessarily mind paying $3.44 net for 6, for the purpose of burning some RRs.

You can use one MQ and the IVC - but you'd need to buy 4 to use both $1/2's

I'm looking forward to possibly buying Advil Congestion Relief on Saturday. Both weekly wikis available for viewing.
Plus -$3 off Advil Congestion Relief, Allergy & Congestion relief, Cold & Sinus or Allergy Sinus, RP 2/10 makes it even sweeter if I buy 4 but my plan is still evolving.

Problem that I see. You are .02 short. new price is 4.99.you are going to have to buy one extra box.

sd88 02-14-2013 04:59 PM

For those that get the employee discount (or equivalent, such as military discount):

Prices below reflect the employee discount.

Schick Hydro $8.49
use $4 MQ
Bubble Knee-hi 25¢*
=$4.74...use $4 RR from Listerine/Mitchum/Almay...pay 74¢ plus tax and earn $4 RR

*watch for Valentine's clearance items which may be a cheaper option

Gold Bond Trial Size Lotion 93¢ (if reg $1.09 at your store) x22
use $1 MQ x20 (unless your store is adamant on adjusting down, then use 22)
pay 46¢ + tax...earn 5000 points

Walgreens Tan Extender Lotion 1oz 79¢ x3
pay $2.37...earn 2000 points

(keeping my eyes open for deals that are *hot* with employee discount pricing)

The $4.99 price might be in effect but if the $5.00 price is advertised through 2/23 then they would have to honor the $5.00 price. Probably be the only time I'll ever ask to have the price modified up by .01 !

Bonus Buy shows Carmex .05 to .35 oz at .99. Free if you have the $1.00 off Carmex Lip Care from the Walgreens Cold & Flu book. Cashier will have to price modify the item or the coupon to use one coupon per product.

Since coupons are now cumulative it would prob be easier for most (including myself) to actually use coupons for all but 1 and just pay for that one. With my luck if i bring too much attention to that coupon the cashier will deny it.

I'm like you. It's not that beeps or attention bother me. I just don't like losing control of the transaction to the whim of some cashier. So I'll likely get four and use three coupons, all buried in some larger transaction.

mikepearson 02-14-2013 09:29 PM

Oh no. Cryptic DDs? I read the Wiki:

Buy participating Robitussin, Dimetapp, Advil, Campbell’s, Emergen-C, Lysol or Nice products – Buy $10 get 2,000 (monthly deal)
Advil Allergy & Congestion or Congestion Relief (10 ct)
$3/1 Advil Congestion Relief or Allergy and Congestion (plus others) EXP 02/24/13 RP 02/10/13
$1/1 any Advil Congestion Relief or Allergy and Congestion (plus others) EXP 05/12/2013 RP 02/10/13

And I don’t see anything about this being $4.99.

Here's a thought if you have the extra coupons but don't want to use them due to the beep and you are willing to pay for 1 item anyway then -

4 Carmex @ .99
2 Carmex Moisture Plus @ 2.99 (on sale BOGO)
=$6.95
Use (6) $1.00 Carmex coupons from Cold & Flu book
Pay .95 + tax

You can change the qty above to match however many coupons you have.

Or if you have the Carmex $.55/1 lip conditioner or any lip product (SS 12/02) then you can buy 4 of the Carmex @ .99 and use 3 of the $1.00 Wag Cold & Flu and 1 of the SS coupons and pay .41 + tax instead of full price for the last one.

ashjam67 02-15-2013 02:01 AM

Found elsewhere - Pepsi products will be 3/$4. Coupon for BOGO Diet Pepsi at coupons.com. Says "Available at HEB" with the HEB logo so YMMV if cashier will accept it.

Since Walgreens started points and card system, i never shop there anymore, don't understand those points, so just do my shopping at CVS now. But my question would be- if i still have Buy one Get one free W diaper raincheck for 6packs , and i will use it next week when diapers are 5.99 or 2for $10,how the transaction should look like, i mean will i pay $15 or $17.97? Will they let me use raincheck on sale item? On raincheck there is no price. Thank you, and will rep.

I have used BOGO Rainchecks that did NOT have price listed and it has worked out beautifully. I actually had some BOGO RC's on wags diapers and the cashier/assistant manager had to give them to me at the sale price for that week because $$$ amount hadn't been written. :D I'm still holding some RC's for Banana Boat BOGO without price listed. They might charge you $15 for 6 packs but still a very good deal. :) I absolutely LOVE it when they don't write the price on RC's.

I heard that there is an infant care book out again. You may want to ask for it because there might be additional IVC's in it to use for wags diapers.

Best case scenario is they caught on but are limiting talk. I know my original post about the Advil was short and didn't include all the fine details but that's my MO from now on. Short but pointing in the direction of a deal and letting everyone do their homework if they are interested. Other than this post I'm not going to mention "DD" or the words "double dip" for a Saturday deal.

Thats because the deal is for next Saturday not this one.

It does show a picture of the chewables, but like manufacturer coupons, you go by the wording. In this case, "$1 off Bayer Aspirin, 24 to 36 ct.". So, all Bayer aspirin that fit into this description are included, not just chewables.

If the Speed Stick Power is included in the 2/24 "Speed Stick or Lady Speed Stick – 2/$5 – Buy 2 get 2,000 points" and you have the -$1 off Speed Stick Power, excluding 2 oz and .5 oz, SS 2/03 (exp 02/23) then you can get 2 of them for $1.00 after coupons and points on Saturday 2/23. Not a great deal by itself but throwing it out there in case this deal works for you.

I'm so hoping for a $5/$30 or something similar for this coming weekend.

Has anyone tried anything like this recently? How is it working these days?

Replying to myself here. It appears that the new registers have reverted back to the old way.

The price of the BOGO item is determined based on the shelf price BEFORE the IVC is applied.

So for this example ;) an item is $3.00 and BOGO 50% and there is a $1/1 IVC. Then the first item rings up $3.00, the second rings up $1.50 and then the $1/1 is applied to each of these prices for a total of $2.50 for the two items.

This is the way it had been for years. However there was a period of time, right after the new registers were installed, where the IVC was applied first and then the BOGO 50% was calculated based on the new price. -- i.e. in the above example when the IVC was scanned the prices would get recalculated to $2.00 for the first item and $1.00 for the second item for a total of $3.00 for the two items.

Luckily this is no longer the case. And it's relevant info for this week -- especially if you have a headache, ;)

No $5/30 for me this morning......it must be regional because it wasn't in my area last time either :(

I received one last week and I'm in the middle of La. This was 2/9 so not sure if it was just printing then or not as I haven't received another since.

Adding this to stay deal-related...
Windex Touch Up bath or kitchen cleaner (10 oz) - $3.49 – Buy 2 get 1,500 points (says monthly deal)
There are printables here [windex.com]...one is $0.75/1 or $1.50/1 if you share with friends. Plus a $1/1 in the 2/17 RP.

You will have 38 k left.

P.S. - Points add/subtract in a straight simple way. It is the value associated with the points that change depending on how many you redeem.at any instant.

Here, read this [walgreens.com]. It has a breakdown of what levels you can redeem points at. And also has any other questions you may have about points.

You will have 40k points. If you redeem 40k at once ..it will be worth $50 of goods.

If you break up the 40K into smaller points, the values will change. If you redeem 5k, is worth $5 .. leaving you 35k points.

If you redeem 18k points (out of the 40k you have) it will be worth $20 worth of goods... leaving you 22k points.

Value of points is determined at time of redemption, not when earning it.

It was reported in last weeks thread that yesterday the $5/30 was printing again and was good for 2/17-2/23, I went early this morning and nothing printed and no one has reported getting any today......I guess it is luck of the draw!

If you are referring to the 10,000 points for a $30 purchase, yes, however, I was one of the fortunate ones that received that offer last week for this week. I only did one transaction, 3 meters and a filler and got 16k points.

ppistachio 02-17-2013 12:57 PM

Now that I look closer the coupon that printed out last week said 5000 points on your purchase of $30 or more on almost everything in store. Store coupon valid 2/17 through 2/23. However, there was nothing to scan it was more like an advertisement. Today we bought 10 of the Bayer chewable aspirin at buy one get one 50% off, five of the bonus by Carmex at $.99, two of the Bogo soft soap at 7.99, 2 Nice trashbags 4.99 each and two Arizona teas with the IVC. I think the total was around $42 and after mfg and IVC coupons I paid with $16 RR and one dollar out-of-pocket. My receipt says reward bonus earned 5000 points, but I have no idea what triggered it because my total after coupons was not $30.

SmartBoy 02-17-2013 12:58 PM

Lot of people are expecting 5k or 10k points when spending $30 this week. I remember, last year , during the holiday season, the points showed up in people's account a couple of days after shopping... is it going to be the same this week ?

Yes, you did exceed your $30 target. MFQs and RRs (which are actually MFQs) do not affect your total when calculating stuff like that. Only the IVCs that you use might affect your total when it comes to determining whether you met your price target, and even those I'm not sure of in cases like this. I've never had one of those "xx points for $XX purchase" scanless coupons. I'm assuming the deal was attached to your card in the system and the coupon was just a printout to alert you when the deal would be valid for your card.

P.S. The next thing that would be interesting to check on is if the deal is a one time use only, or if it's good for the entire shopping week. If you buy another >$30 basket this week then be sure to let us know if you got another 5K points added to your account.

vaikinas 02-17-2013 03:49 PM

Reminder, today (2/17) is the last day for the free Good n Natural bars with the MQ in the 1/6 RP. Also brings you closer to the $30 threshold for the bonus points promotion this week.

Finally found some new stock at my local Walgreens last night!

GiGo101010 02-17-2013 03:57 PM

Reporting in on the 10,000 pts on a $30 purchase.

I didn't get a cat offer printed for me and made a >$30 purchase today and got no additional points.

Seems it is indeed a targeted offer utilizing Balance Rewards member numbers.

:(

classyscrappers 02-17-2013 04:50 PM

Did anyone with the 10k or 5k bonus points wyb $30 do it more than once to see if it was a limited 1x offer or if it is unlimited all week?

Let me throw this one out to see what you think

The March Savings book has a
$1/1 Glade Decor Scents Car .28 oz pg (11) IVC#5585

There is a comma between Car and .28 oz, which makes me think Car or .28 oz. (is there a "car" version or am I misinterpreting something?).

According to Wags.com, the Glade Decor Scents Glass Holder + Refill is 3.99. There is no “car” version listed. There is a .28 0z. version listed, but it says “in store” only, so would have to check price. Since all the others are 3.99, I’ll assume that price.

The 2/03 SS has a $1/1 Glade Decor Scents Holder

If the IVC and insert q match up with a product, and you can get the March book on Sat

Get 4 Glade Décor Scents Holder $15.96
- $4 using IVC
- 4 x $1/1 with insert qs
= $7.96 and get 5000 points

good assumption on the price! Reg price is 3.99-but on clearance 1.99 last night.

Okay, here’s what I’ll try if I can get hold of the March savings

5 Décor Scent holders (.28 oz) = 19.95
- $5 IVC
- 5 x $1/1 (2/3 SS)
- $3 RR
= $6.95 (+ filler), recover $3 cat and get 5000 points
(actually, I’ll probably use more RR to convert some to points)

I thought the monthly IVCs are never active before their intended start date? That might cause issues unless you have an overly friendly store. Weekly IVCs will activate early with early ad activation, but monthly do not, right?

Something else to think about is the Gillette disposables, which are BOGO1/2 and there is a BOGO Q in 2/3 RP that autodeducts full price. So you get 2 for the price of 1/2, which isn't amazing but is probably ok for the purpose of RR burning.

And the $2 from 2/17 don't play well with the BOGO Q. Beep city

I had always believed the same thing - but numerous people have been reporting that they are working early. It should also be noted that the IVCs are indicated with a start date and an end date (Has that always been the case?) It's very YMMV for sure ... but always worth a try :D

Bought lot of Bayer EZ yesterday (FLORIDA) and noticed that for the first time, i was taxed on them at many stores. Some didn't and others were varying amount. Have to sit down and see how it all worked.

Several posters reported getting an $x/$xx cat instead of an x points/$xx cat back during the end of the week of 2/3-2/9. I got neither, so I can't confirm.

I found that blinkie over a month ago - so it's definitely a YMMV. Wish I'd found the $2 Bayer TP that everyone was talking about!

i heard about this happening about a month back, can't remember where but this would make these not worth buying at all.

I understand a calculator will give me my answer. I was asking because I know that a lot of people on here don't like deals being spelled out so I didn't write it all out. I was only asking for a simple yes or no when buying 2 toothbrushes, if the math is correct, getting 2 FREE + $.02 MM. Thank you and have a great day.

How would of your answer been different? You using a different calculator? LOL If you bought 6 at a time and did the math its the same price per unit.

You'll won't get an even roll or a MM when you buy 6. You only get 2500 points for 3...you don't extra points when buying 6 (based on wags website). And the coupons states "No more than (4) four coupons for the same product in the same transaction".

I could be wrong in my calculations but I'll verify my info on Saturday and purchase based on the feedback.

Potential deal on Saturday but YMMV
Wags website shows Fantastik Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming Kitchen Cleaner 11 oz (as well as other Scrubbing Bubble products) as part of the Glade B3G2K points deal.
02/24 wiki shows Foaming Kitchen aerosol (11 oz) – 2/$5 and part of the SC Johnson/Kimberly Clark B$15G3K deal.

-$1 off Scrubbing Bubbles Total Kitchen Foaming all purpose cleaner w/ Fantastik, SS 1/13 (exp 02/24)

I got 3000 points today for buying Coldcalm tablets. I have no idea why, there was no signage; but glad, because they cost $9.79 , and I remember when they were free after RR's. Good thing I used RR's instead of points to pay.

edit: at least I think that's what it was for. I bought 2 hand sanitizers, 4 AZ teas, the Coldcalm - on my receipt it shows the Coldcalm UPC indented, and also indented under that, 'Rewards Points Earned 3000. Then same indented under that shows my 2 RR's ('MFG CPN) used. Hmm.

Wags website shows "Buy 1 or more participating ColdCam 60ct Get 3000 points". It has the infamous "or more" wording but the website shows you can get multiple points in 1 trxn.

WBBell 02-18-2013 09:59 AM

Actually, depending on your assumptions regarding the points deals, the price per unit will be quite different depending on whether you buy 2, 3, 4, 5 ,6 or 7.

At times... :)

It's always a good idea to test your scenario out on the website. Sometimes we get multiple points in the trxn but there are times when you think you'll get multiple points only to find out you don't. I always like to find that out before I've paid and am walking out looking at my receipt.

- and that blinkie beeped on the 3rd one used in the transaction. My cashiers pushed it through, but were quite hesitant to do so, for some reason. Other cashiers might not accept the beepers.

I looked at both Wikis and isn't it more cost effective to buy each Schick Hydro separately for the $4 register reward vs. buying three at once and getting one $4 RR and 5000 points? Isn't three 4 RR's and no points better? Is there something I am not seeing in the DD? I guess I am thinking about the disposables. I guess if you are wanting to buy the ones that you can change the blades on the deal is better since the $ off coupon is $5/2 vs. $4 off one?

Mac and cheese

For those interested in kraft mac and cheese. The $1 on 2 coupon looks like it only attaches to one item. I bought 8 used 4 coupons and 2 $4rr paid $0 out of pocket.

There are "New" packaging boxes. They say Bayer Contour Next, but not EZ.(the picture of the machine on the front of the box is black, rather than gray) and for some reason, these are the meters that are being taxed. This happened to me at two stores. I knew something was wrong because we do not have tax on these, so I did not purchase these ones.

Two new coupons show as coming out on Sunday-
Neutrogena $1/1 hair, hand, body or men's product (4/27/13)
Neutrogena $5/2 hair, hand, body or men's products (4/27/13)

Wiki shows "Neutrogena skin care products – Buy 2 get 3,000 points – Items 25% off on 2/24 (monthly deal)"

Some of the Neutrogena products are currently BOG50% according to wags website. If you get your coupons early and do the deal on Saturday then this could be a very rewarding day - especially if the bar soaps are included in the points deal. Still a good deal next week if bar soap included but Saturday is better due to the BOG50%.

ashjam67 02-19-2013 03:24 AM

Website shows Always Thin Regular (20 ct) for .79 cents and Always Thin Always Thin Fresh Regular (20 ct) for .99 cents. There was a (very regional apparently) coupon that came out in the 1/27 SS for "Save $1.00 on Always Product" so free if you got the coupon.

Is the Cat still printing? I don't remember if it was here or the Shop Rite thread where someone said it didn't print. Been searching threads and can't find answer. Don't know whether to buy at Wag's or ShopRite. Have some nice coupons I ordered, (only 5 but they are for .60 off)
But, 6 would be magic number to buy? As I had previously posted the other day, my store has had signs up on the 70ct and 100ct that they are $1 till 2/23. Its confusing, as they were different price (per Wag's thread) last week, and this week $.99 with IVC,....
Going by the wiki, I may as well buy 184ct if .99 as that would be a 'best buy'.
Any input would be appreciated! Trying to figure this out so I can get out soon..

I bought 7 boxes of the 184 ct today with the .99 in ad Q and a Wags cat for $1 off 5. I got the $2 cat. I have a lot of RRs expiring this week so this was a good deal for me.

I thought the cat was done, so I got 20 boxes of 184ct Kleenex (I know, shame on me, but some Wags here don't pay any attention to the limit on IVC and there were still probably 25 boxes left on shelf). I had lots of the catalina coupons for $1/5 boxes. I also have (had) over $500 in RR's to spend before Thursday. We go through lots of kleenex so figured why not go ahead and get some. Out came a $2 RR. So, next store I just got 10 boxes and used two of the $1/5 cat coupons. Still got a $2 RR. I am thinking before it was 7 boxes to get the $2 to print, but am not possitive.

Jen2213 02-19-2013 11:07 AM

I know this might be a rookie question but I can't find an answer anywhere else. Can you use a BOGO coupon and a cents off coupon. Like with the new Renuzit BOGO coupon on c.c can you buy 2 and use the bogo coupon and the $0.50/1 rp coupon to get them for $0.39 for 2?

Nevermind, just noticed it's only for Target. But would still like to know the answer for future reference :)

It all depends on if the BOGO attaches to one item or two. In the past (when we could read barcodes), you would know because it was either coded as "01" or "14". With "01" at wags, you could use both. Actually, with the "14" you could, too but that was a register flaw, not as it was intended.

Now with the new GS1 barcodes, it's anybody's guess. The best thing to do is try it, give the $ off coupon first, BOGO last and then report back. If the register balks at the BOGO coupon, it means it's coded for both items and you can't use the $ off at the same time.

THATcouponlady 02-19-2013 12:15 PM

went to recon neutrogena. no signs up for BOGO 50% off except on shipper display of a couple of items. Spot tested regular items on shelf including the basic bar and all rang up full price

I didnt have a list of products to try so you will have to bring a list if they have no signs up - which mine didnt

I bought the 184ct and got the RR plus a manu coupon for $1 off 5 boxes. On 2/16/13 I bought another 6 boxes of 184 ct and used the $1 off 5 coupon and got the 1.50 RR for this transaction as well and another $1 off 5 coupon to use. A great week for kleenexes.

I did not get a cat when I bought 7 of the 184-count Kleenexs that are BOGO - 3 different trxns - 3 different stores - no cat.

I did get a $2.00 cat when buying 7 of the $1.00 kleenex and the cat rolls which is nice.

What is nicer is that yesterday I was told by another couponer here in SA that our local Spanish paper had coupons for .60 cents off of 1 Kleenex (50 count or higher). So I've been buying 7 Kleenex ($7.00) and use 7 of the .60 coupons and the $2 RR from the previous trxn for an OOP of
.94 (tax included) which comes to .13 per box.

These coupons expire on 03/23 and are also on the bay. Might be nice for next weeks $2.29 BOGO price.

Posting in this thread since the only possibility of this working is on Sat. the 23rd. The Arctic Naturals Omega that is FARR the week of the 24th is the same one that is FAR this month, so even though the 23rd is the last day to purchase for the MIR and there will be no DD with the RR, if you have a store that activates prices early, you should be able to buy it at the $10 sale price and submit for the $15 MIR.

Can confirm the Kleenex deal is working with 100 ct. Also using .60 Kleenex from Spanish insert.

If you don't have the .60 coupon, the "4-pack" Kleenex is counting as 4 boxes. Get (2) @ 4.00. Use $1.00 IVC from Feb. Savings. Also use the .50 off coupon from this weeks insert (.50/3). Ends up $3.00 OOP for 8 boxes. Not great but not horrible.

Actually this could still work if the bar soaps are included.

One store who had a lot of diapers in stock, said that i have to pay 8.99-full price of diapers to get another one for free. Called manager, he said that rainchecks are good only for full price item, not for sale items, like diapers this week are 2/$10. Left everything, went to store #2. They refused a raincheck because it is from 2012, too old and no way they would accept it, he said that rainchecks are valid only for 1 month. Store #3 said that i have to go to the store that issued this raincheck, they cannot accept another Walgreens stores raincheck. Store #4 gave lots of reasons why i cannot use this raincheck, but finally manager sold me 2 packs of diapers instead of 6 that has been on a raincheck, because that was his limit, and he did NOT let me use $1 peelies that i have from earlier.
My question would be- if i would call tomorrow Walgreens CS, would they be any help? I did write down all 4 stores manager names, and reasons why they refused the raincheck. Just really need diapers and sure enough i want to buy as cheap as possible.
And wonder if smb in IL found these IVC books with diaper coupons in. I really could use one...
Thank you!

Definately call corp. 2012 was only 7 weeks ago and according to my local wags a raincheck is valid for 90 days (minimum). AND refusing to take the coupon... now that's a completely different can of worms. That's like saying the price on this can of greenbeans is too low, you can't use foodstamps on it. Coupons are a form of payment and have nothing to do with the sale price. Corp will eat their heads!

I was a little confused, viovio, as to what you were doing. If you wanted to use the BOGO RC on the diapers that are now on sale, I can see that being shot down (unfortunately). That's like getting a sale on top of a sale. Nice if you can get it , but I do see grounds for refusal. Should have taken your Q, tho.

I assumed that sinche raincheck does not specify the price i can use it this week on sale items. We did this a year or 2 ago, as i remember without any problems, when coupons and IVC were present as well...
Thank you.

Many stores will print on their RC how long it is good for, which I think is polite. 30 days seems a bit short to me. Those are arguments you could make to CS. Oh, and maybe point out CVS RC that "do not expire".
And as far as I know, you can use a RC at any location, but store management has told me that they kinda lose money when you redeem the RC, so they don't like it if you use a RC at all, and might get a little testy at taking another location's RC. But that is their problem, not yours.

Always check your state laws, in Ohio RC has to be good 60 days after issuance. I always point this out to the clueless people of rite aid who tells me the RC says '30 days" and I point out that ohio says '60 days'.

Just so no one gets confused, and not to start another huge debate, but when you bought 7 for $1=$7, minus the .60coupon x 7=4.20, so $7-4.20 is $2.80 for 7, or $.40 each not .13 each. How you pay for them, cash or RR, is still payment
Were they .99 with the IVC? Which size did you buy? IVC shows "Nice or Kleenex 70-184ct .99", maybe some sizes are for the Nice and some (lesser counts)for Kleenex?

From the Cat details I just found on ShopRite thread,

Buy Kleenex Tissue (50 count or larger) b/w 1.28.13 and 2.24.13
buy 5 & get $1 OR
buy 6 & get $1.50 OR
buy 7 or more & get $2

Didn't see a BOGO sign on the 184ct yesterday, but they had none, anyway, nor any 4pks. Didn't you buy 8 if the are BOGO? Maybe they would only count as 'buying' 4 so thats why didn't get a Cat as minimum is 5 pkgs.
Is the BOGO this or next week? You say both in your post. Next weeks wiki just says Kleenex tissues BOGO @ $2.29

Were they BOGO @ $2.29? OR .99 with this weeks IVC?
thanx

Found clearance Caress Daily Silk soap 6 pack bars for $4.19 this morning. Bought 2 and 2nd one rang up BOGO50% for 2.09. Used 2 $1/1 coupons from coupons dot com, so total was $4.28 for 12 bars. This is a high price store so you might find them cheaper.

While it may work, I would caution not to count on it (you were smart to try several stores), and I don't think they are out of line to deny it. Again, it's like getting 2 sales applied to the item, so I am not sure how you could argue that. At best, the BOGO RC is ambiguous since it does not specifically state a price.

I have noticed some other stores where the register overrides the sale price when you do the RC so you are only getting the RC price (for a BOGO RC). Of course at wags it's (strangely) easy for the cashier to PMod an item ;)

Not the OP, but I think that the reason that they mentioned paying with a $2 RR is because they received a $2 RR back, so it is a wash. Rather than figuring in the one that they would receive after they paid, they just showed paying with one. Their original scenario should still be correct, and actually it looks like it comes out to .11 a box ($7-$4.20MQ=$2.80-$2 CAT=.80/7=.11).

So, you got the $2 RR, nice!

1.) Let's agree to disagree on if the RR is a payment. Normally I'd agree with you but in this case the RR rolls so I'm not counting it as "payment" each and every every time.

2.) I bought the 100 count 2-ply tissues that are on sale for $1.00. No IVC needed. There are others at that price but I don't remember which ones they were. Wags.com can show you which of the others are on sale.

3.) I did not buy 8 of the BOGO because I"m an idiot. :) My focus was 7 and sometimes I don't see the forest for the trees.

4.) I bought the BOGO on Saturday as they are not on sale this week.

You are correct in that it was a wash.

A filler was needed to use the RR so my final total was .94 which comes out to $.13 cents a box.

They were BOGO @ $2.29 the three times I did the deal. I have not purchased any since 2/16/13 so I don't know how it is working now.

4AM 02-21-2013 10:56 PM

Posted this earlier, accidently in next weeks thread. Valid now:

Pretty sure this hasn't been mentioned. If you need to roll into some points..... I have been picking up the .99 Walgreens brand lip care (Sunscreen variety) and Sun Care, found mostly in the beauty section or end caps near beauty sections. They are B3 for 2k points and BOGO 50% off. 3 will set you back $2.48 but get 2k. Buy in multiples divisible by 2 and 3 for better deal (i.e. Buy 6 for $4.47 get 4K points).

UPC:
0 4902258930 8 (Tan extender lotion 1 oz)
0 4902248497 9 (spf 50 Lip Balm .14 oz)
0 4902252159 9 (spf 30 Lip Balm .14 oz)

I have 5 $10 RR that are exp today.. took too long of a break and just realized today I have to spend them.

Any quick ideas on converts for a large purchase? Or should I save everyone the headache and buy a high ticket item for an even exchange later (does that still work?)?

sorry about the question in a question... but I will call it incquestion (like inception)

I had 2 10RR expiring yesterday and did 2 transactions with the schick disposable razors, kraft homestyle mac and cheese and the .99 paperplates. Got $4rr back for the schick in each transaction. Hope this helps.

You could buy some of the FAR items listed in the back of the Feb savings book. I believe that the Jamieston and the Vira-T ones are $20 all month and you get a $20 MIR.

Thanks :)

Going to try for that tonight.

Edit: I have not done the FAR's from wags yet, is there a household limit? I would like to stock up on the eggshell membranes.

That sounded weird

My suggestion would be to get the FAR items too. I myself have RRs expiring both today & tomorrow ( 6 $10 RRs today & 9 tomorrow :( ) which I will be using for these items & to try to get some points back into my card.

Now, my question is, any suggestions as to how I could roll my RRs into points? Any suggestion will be much appreciated :) TIA!

I cashed out of rewards expiring today and tomorrow buying the Wags brand lip care sunscreen and tan extender lotion. Buy 36 items, use two $10 and two $4 RRs, threw in a drink and got 24,000 points. Already purchased the rebate items in the book and I had used all my Schick coupons already this week so I was happy with the trade-off.

whoa cool.

could you list the scenario?

I typed, "lip" in page search and I didn't get any matches for the first page with the deals.

Look at post 194 on previous page.

The items are Buy One Get One 50% Off as well as the point promotion where you earn 2,000 points for each set of three items. I had orders of 36 items so 18 were 99¢ and 18 were 49¢. Best bang for your buck is in multiples of 6. It is $4.44 for each group of 6 and earn 4,000 points.
