Since my store is always out of stock, I get a lot of rain checks. When I'm stuck, I go to my stash.

I always try to use the big UPS first ($10 and $20) even if they have later expiration dates. They can be very hard to move.

And every time I get panicky, a RA deal always seems to pop up.

Just a heads up but you might want to price check the Loreal cosmetics before buying them because many of the Loreal cosmetics at my store are tagged clearance 50% off including the cheap eyeshadows. Took a few pics of the clearance Loreal.

I plan on buying 1 eyeshadow that is reg price $5.89 so $2.94 (50% clearance) and using $3 Q to see if it tracks for the UP deal. If it tracks, Im going to buy 20 more. So it would be $2.94 x 21 = $61.74. Use 21 $3 Q = $63. OOP: $1.26 overage so coupons will need to be adjusted down. Get back 2 $10 UP and $61.74 towards 50th Anniversary Promo which is equivalent to about $12. Possible $32 MM.

In regards to the "face product" Q, I have seen this debated both ways. Most couponers will interpret the face product Q as anything on the face which includes eyes and lips. Most cashiers will accept the Q after they verified that you have purchased a cosmetic item that applies to the face like an eyeshadow. I have already asked my manager at Rite Aid and CVS if I can use the $3 Q on the eyeshadow and they couldnt think of a reason as to why I couldnt use it. Ultimately, it is up to your store whether to accept the coupon or not.

I never tried with expired coupons, but if you do get rain checks, make sure they write it reflecting the UPS you should have received.

Yep. I learned early on in my couponing career that eye makeup is not face makeup (as a guy, I had never bought either before). You may be able to get them pushed through, but they're not really for those products.

The classic eye vs face debate has been rehashed many times

This coupon has been out before. It will beep on the eyeshadow unless they have changed the programming. Last time my store pushed them thru (I remember cashier commenting that the ONLY exclusion was magic serum...or whatever it is) so he was OK with it.

The monthly Natrol/Laci LaBeau vitamin and diet supplement deal may be how I am going to have to roll some. Although I can wait until the next sales week to see if I will have to do this. I didn't do it yet because I really didn't want any of the products.

I don't know about the smart tv adapter but my Craig TV I got at RA hasn't had any trouble. If I had enough UPs to blow, I would consider that adapter. I like paying zero dollars for stuff like that.

My Natrol was NOT taxable in my highly taxed state of NY. Make sure its taxable before you waste the RA 48.

Good point. Vitamins get taxed here but the herbal teas aren't taxed as they are considered food.

if you "need" to rack up $60 (14.99 x 4) for RA50, you can test it paying for 1 with cash/credit and if it gives you and Up, use ups for the other 3. if the 1st one doesn't give you an Up, you can return it easily.

In the past, whenever PG has MIRs in which they want a "receipt" instead of "receipts" it is stipulated very clearly. Here is a concurrent PG MIR- for example - this one requires purchases at certain grocery stores and emphasizes that all products must be on one receipt.

For L'Oreal Advanced haircare, you can use the $2/1 VVQ instead. And, although they are on sale for $3.99 this week, making them free after VVQ and MQ (1/27 RP2), they are regularly priced $4.99... So they've been and will continue to be $3.99/free after Qs if you have gold discount. ;)

If you're not doing the Osteo Bi-Flex deal simply to roll +ups and truly want the best deal on this product, you might want to wait until next week as it will be BOGO. (Note that 1/06RP Qs expire 2/20, but the 2/10RP Qs won't be expired.)

I'm mentioning alternatives because, perhaps, there are others like me who are often frustrated with the problem of low/no stock on most, if not all, of the weekly deal items. I find it helps to know when there are other options. ;)

The cashier thought it was because there was no place on the eyeshodow that 'Paris' was written and the coupon said on Loreal Paris product. i had the same issue too with 2 of 3 transactions i did last week, whereas the 2nd LOreal RAQ (expired 2/22/13) was rejected (saying i need to buy 1 cent more)... upon further look of my 3 purchases, the one that both RAQs went thru is one where i bought 2 shampoos... and the 2 that got 1 of 2 RAQs rejected were when i bought one of each (shampoo/conditioner)... i will try again later and see if okay with buying just 2 shampoos and report back...

Exact same thing happened to me on Sunday. Cashier manually pushed it through at $1.99.

Is John Frieda shampoo/conditioner tracking for anniversary promo properly for everyone? I bought Brilliant Brunnette conditioner on Saturday but it didn't add to my total. I called and after looking into it for a while they said they submitted the request to manually add it to my account but it's Tuesday already and it still hasn't been added.

For all the Natrol deal talk, I thought I'd mention a DD idea I posted in the monthly thread here. I love MMs and not just the chocolate kind!

Technically, not a DD ... just advance use of next week's RAQ ... the deal remains the same: Natrol $20 +up wyb $20 deal (L2) ... use 1 or 2 $2 off 1 RAQ.

I used the term "DD" loosely there. But, no matter how you define DD, this is still an MM! :lol:

Haven't tried using it yet, but I notice the m&m coupon I have states on 9.9 oz or larger. Just wondering, what the size is on the holiday m&m's. Could it be too small to officially qualify?

I would suspect that the L2C is still coded for the same set of M&Ms that don't include the Easter ones.

With the RA coupons that beep "requires .01 more" this doesn't work (or at least doesn't always). Usually if you do it this way the coupon will scan fine at first, but once your wellness card is scanned the coupon will get kicked out and you will end up paying for the product if you don't notice.

In general what you described works to allow overage in the sense that the cashier would not notice you are getting overage, but when the coupon is actually programmed to not allow overage it will get kicked out.

yes, i bought 2 shampoos again last night and no beeping on 2nd RAQ... was thinking of trying w/ 2 conditioners, but i'm all out of $2 MQs, so someone will have to try that and see if that will work...

I contacted RA through Email about this situation and got a call from the store manager that they can price modify the item and that I can come back today to get the item. She apologized (did not seem to mean it though and will probably glare at me if I go to her store since they seem like the gossiping type) but this store is farther away and I am not sure if it is worth the hassle.

Awhile ago, only certain colors of the Natural Instincts produced the ups. Has anyone done the deal this week on different colors and recieved the ups?
