Don't forget this weekend is another public beta test of Just Cause 2 Multiplayer, which is probably why this went on sale :)

Half the price of when I was thinking about getting it last week. Thank goodness I waited. lol Thanks!

Yep, I was bored so this was a nice Saturday addition..you know, just cause.
Anyway TU |
Bought this game a while back and I just have to say, you will not be disappointed at this price. The story is "meh" and the dialogue is "meh" but flipping a Humvee 12 times off of a huge ramp while parachuting out at the last second before it crashes into a fiery explosion is absolutely insanely awesome.

love this game

excellent game, excellent price.
i don't normally 'cheat' at games but i love doing this one in god mode with infinite ammo and no reloads. just running around blowing stuff up. cathartic. and stuff blows up real nice in this game. |
Cool, thanks OP! First time buying from GMG, worked no problems. Repped

Worth the cost for a GTA style game. I still visit for fun once and awhile.

Great deal for this weekend! jc-mp.com is running a 48hr beta of the jc-mp mod, making Just Cause 2 into a massively multiplayer game where you can join factions in wars, race vehicles, and play in demolition derby. They intend on releasing it soon, but this is the first beta test in quite a while.
Best of all, this mod is free, and will forever be free. |

Game looks fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBoXuCl and massive. Unless you've got unlimited time, put your hours into JC 2. Repped. Picked up a copy myself. *My first purchase with GMG was last week. Virtua Tennis 4 for $3. Used paypal. Seems like a great site for deals. |
Fantastic game for a great price. No brainer.
|
I bought it after realizing I already owned it on Steam. #firstworldproblems
|
In for 1. I wasn't even looking to buy this game. Thanks.
EDIT: Well, Citi Mastercard refused to go through, and Paypal wouldn't authorize either. I guess I'm not getting this game. Never ordered from GMG before, but for some reason Paypal and Citi don't like them. :( |
got this. thanks. my old hard copy vanished a while ago and i never finished the game.
|
Got one. Thanks!
|
they should just give it away!
|
In for 1 to ad to my steam backlog lol

Get Get Get this game! It is so much fun.I actually enjoyed it more than the Far Cry series...
|
Everyone should buy this game, just 'cause.
|
Pirated this originally... good game, just bought it, Multiplayer looks like it could be cool
|
i bought this on steam a while back for around $5, well worth the money. this game is fun... it's basically GTA with grappling hooks and parachutes on a pacific island city. lots of fun.
|
Get the HD cloud mod, so pretty. And then the infinite parachute rocket mod to zip across the map.
|
I got this and some DLC from a Steam sale for under 5 bucks a while back. It looks ok but I got bored with the lack of direction pretty quickly. That's a personal gaming deficiency for me though, I like a strong story with guiding force better than random sandbox. I cannot wrap my head around how multiplayer would work though.
But for this cheap why not. |
Dammit. Middle of purchasing and site goes down.
|
Any difference between PC and console versions? Can anyone that played it on console comment on controls?
|
Great game, great price. Get it. The only downside is that it does start to get a bit repetitive after a while. However, don't let this deter you.

Playing this now after having it in backlog for a few months. I'm 30 hours in and game says about 40% done, and I'm overall liking it a lot. It's great stress/monotony reliever played 2-3 hours at a time, but it quickly gets tiring if sessions get longer than that.
GAMEPLAY SPOILERS AHEAD: My main tips to enjoying it: keep to 2-3 hour sessions, take in the sights from the air and from the ground, maybe even from the road or from the sea, trust that gunships, ziplining, and zipline-parachute-gliding will be your best friends whenever things slow down, and there's only as much action and mayhem as you start yourself. Pick a favorite approach to blowing things up/getting around or try something new, and trust that causing mayhem location-by-location will be enough structure to move you along per session. Oh, and definitely learn to zipline-parachute-glide (special tip: if playing w/ gamepad, left stick forward makes you faster but to the ground, pulling back slows you down but gains altitude, and ziplining with parachute gives you some speed in combination with either). The closest I can describe the parachute-ziplining is like upside-down Spider-man web-slinging or Batman grappling, and it's amazing how much it lets you take in the terrain/scenery from a fresh point of view from swinging from above (and gunships let you tour the skies already). You can zipline into the ground if you time it right and you won't take fall damage from any height, no parachute needed. And a max-leveled machine gun in hipfire does a lot to make you feel like your favorite 80's war movie action hero if you do have to mix it up, and you'll eventually level up the enemies that ammo will be plentiful. I haven't racked up enough points to feel out the other 2-handed weapons though, and I just like the machine gun too much to try something else right now. (Submachine gun probably sucks though, and only go pistols if you like aimed headshots). Bought vehicles are probably not worth the pause in the action to buy, since they tend to be destroyed quickly and easily replaced w/ a hijacked vehicle. Except maybe for the non-attack helicopter, since when maxed out is pretty darn zippy for touring/searching the map. Try not to use fast travel unless you're going back to the last place you died or you're really strapped for play time, fast travel like and any pause menu (including looking at the big map and buying items) pretty much puts a dead stop to the action. |
