Btw at my store it was on an end cap. There was a huge sign that said "Special Buy 99.88" and the price on the shelf was 59.00 as pictured.

GrumpierOldMan 02-03-2013 10:49 AM

Thanks!! Just picked one up for $59 at the HomeDepot nearest to 45140 (Cincinnati - Fields Ertel/Mason Montgomery Rd area). Also picked up a DA250b-p 15ga finish nailer for a PENNY!!! (looks like it was a BF special buy and they clearanced them out for $47... though it rang up as $.01). Amazon claims they are $230ish and they get great reviews. 4reps for you and two huge thumbs up!!!

PS they had 6 left when I was there at 11am today.

Thanks for the quick response. None at my HD.

dliu138 02-03-2013 09:03 PM

Got one. Thanks OP.
I couldn't find the nailer either. The sku wasn't even in their system.

nastyemu 02-04-2013 07:56 AM

that nailer is ancient and the rest of its kind were probably clearanced years ago. looks like they found some stashed away and you got lucky

tambay 02-04-2013 02:48 PM

Got the last one. Thanks

Wowzer14 02-05-2013 12:51 AM

Use the web link, then check store inventory. In and around Chicago, there's quite a few. Be creative if the closest one is not that close. Also, don't rely on inventory to be perfect (that works both directions!) Went to Northlake, IL (close to work). They showed 1 in stock; they had at least two.
Endcap for Northlake, and about 2 aisles over. I had almost given up. THANKS AGAIN OP! TU and repped! Decent compressor for a little one.

BigArce 02-05-2013 05:54 AM

Found one in the Glen Burnie, MD store even though inventory checker showed none in stock. Went in to buy something else and found the apparent last one amongst the other compressors. Thanks for the heads up OP.

isuzudave 02-06-2013 02:54 PM

$49 at my local HD

Their web site showed one left at my local HD. I went to the store and found an end cap with three Porter Cable compressor models displayed. They had one of the 3.5 gallon units left. It showed $49, and that is what it rang up for.

SamuelA500 02-06-2013 07:32 PM

Home depot website now even shows it for $59

MangoTango27 02-07-2013 07:20 AM

Just got one for $49 in Columbia, SC. (Sandhills HD) It showed for $49 on line. There are 8 left.

sleinen 02-07-2013 07:44 AM

$49 dollars online now, shipped. Also there are a number in stores in the Twin Cities, MN

knoche 02-07-2013 10:16 AM

Yep, I just ordered one online for $49 w/ free shipping to the house. +1 for letting me be lazy and not have to drive to the store. Thanks OP

astrosmurfboy 02-07-2013 10:45 AM

Thanks OP. Ordered one for $49 for instore pickup

geb1222 02-07-2013 12:41 PM

Thanks I was looking for a compressor. Not expecting too much, but if it lasts me a few years, it was worth it. Two left in Woodbridge, VA. Look up.

Oh yea, brad nailers, finishing nailers, those are require minimal air. 3.5 gallons is way more than you'll need for those projects but also not too small to power other air tools for things around the house.

cromb 02-07-2013 02:40 PM

Bought this online for 49 bucks and then got a call back from HD that it was not in stock :(

dliu138 02-07-2013 04:56 PM

Does anyone have a screen shot for the $49 price. I would like to get a price adjustment.

Tripod 02-07-2013 06:06 PM

Got one in store pickup for 49.99. Great deal! Of course it was the only one in my area. Good luck!

Marabunta 02-07-2013 07:41 PM

Got one at HD in Mission Viejo, CA for $49 Thanks OP

did you have it shipped, or in store pick up?

robsnyder22 02-08-2013 05:26 AM

FYI I got a cheapo 1/3 hp harbor freight compact compressor and will run my brad nailer without issue. Just installed crown molding in my bedroom. I would rather have something like this or stronger though because it would refill quicker and also be stronger for pumping up tires/ect but if you don't have one of these, these are great!

Here are the specs:
# Cut-Out Max: 135 PSI
# Cut-In Restart: 105 PSI
# Air Delivery @ 40 PSI ISO1217: 3.0 SCFM
# Air Delivery @ 90 PSI ISO1217: 2.0 SCFM
# Tank Size: 3.5 gal
# Running Horsepower: .8 HP
# Voltage: 120 V
# Amps: 10 Amps
# Pump Lubrication: Oil-free pump design
# Decibel ISO3744: 82 dBA
# Regulator: Yes
# Gauges: 2
# Quick-Connect Couplers: 1
# Product Weight: 26 lbs
# Shipping Weight: 30 lbs

Here you go, I saved the screen shot to make sure they honor the price adjustment when they told me to order it online and check out at regular price because their site was glitchy.

i have this compressor and it will easily do the job of fence building. you will likely need a framing nailer and a finish nailer to do a proper fence job.

bobley 02-08-2013 06:54 AM

This Porter Cable compressor is better than the $20 HDX compressor IMO. The HDX does include the 10 piece accessory kit whereas the Porter Cable doesn't. However the Porter Cable has double or better the SCFM performance of the HDX -- double or better the air fill rate from the motor to the tank. The Porter Cable has a 3.5 gal tank versus the 3 gal on the HDX. The Porter Cable fills to 135 PSI versus the 100 PSI on the HDX. The Porter Cable name brand is well known & respected. The HDX is cheaper at $20 versus $49 for the Porter Cable.

yosh2000 02-08-2013 09:10 PM

Thanks OP. Picked up the $25 HDX one two weeks ago, but this one is so much better!

got it for $49. there were 11 more at the Glendale, CO store off of s colorado blvd...go get em COers! every box was clearly marked $49.

Thinker 02-08-2013 10:00 PM

My store only had display sitting on top rack. No box nothing... I was able to get it for $30. Can someone who brought in box let me know what else is in the box? I only got the compressor and nothing else. Any extra cables, cords, manuals etc.?

TIA

daddylovesky 02-13-2013 11:58 PM

Grabbed the last $59 Porter- Cable compressor at the Frederick, MD (Rt. 40 store)...

Liking the Frederick, Md Home Depot's this month...extension cords, compressor...What's next?

ImNuts 02-14-2013 06:59 PM

Thanks, OP. This is exactly what I was looking for. Did a search for compressors and you deal popped up. Bought three for $39 in the Cleburne, TX store (about 30-40 mins away from me). They had about eight in stock after I left. Might be the only store in the DFW area that still has them in stock. Funny, I saw them in the store for $79 and I debated getting it. Now, I got two for that price!

DanyellAU 02-15-2013 10:14 AM

Just scored last one Danville,Va $39.00, so they're still out there. O btw it didn't show up on inventory check or store search :bounce:

MattShoots 02-15-2013 01:51 PM

Scored in Central Islip, NY today. $39 each, got the last 2. Stock search said they only had 1.

workingmantom 02-15-2013 02:50 PM

I just got home with mine. Picked one up for $39.00 in Gilroy CA, there were 5 left in over head rack, none on floor. I asked about the nail gun using the SKU, I was told it's not a valid SKU.

solara689 02-16-2013 10:35 AM

thanks OP...Hurry 2 to 3 left at Santa Clara store :woot: p/u 2 for $ 69 w/ apply HF 20% off :D

ZeeDuck 02-16-2013 11:23 AM

Man I wish I could have hit this deal! This is light enough to fill and carry and unlike my current portable compressor it has enough power to actually consider doing work with it.

NoBantheSnowman 02-16-2013 11:49 AM

So in 10 days, will this drop to $19.00?

Bought the last one in store 1092 (Daly City, CA). Saw one left in stock online so I immediately drove over. None in the aisle but their store inventory is pretty good so I looked up in the overstock section and saw it. Box was in perfect shape so I asked one of the guys to bring it down for me. Thanks OP!

loves2save 02-16-2013 07:13 PM

Scored the last one at Lake Mary FL store. It was on the end cap behind a bunch of the $169 6 gallon units. The tag on it said $99 but I had the guy scan it with the pricing gun and sure enough it came up at 39. I already have a Goodyear rubber hose in my inventory so I just need the get a finish mailer gun. Any suggestions? I need to shoot brads through 3/8 oak boards.

$39. The tag showed it was marked down from $49.

ImNuts 02-17-2013 07:29 PM

Used the compressor to power my brad nailer to build a cat tree. Its my MIL's cat: both are living with me now. The compressor worked great. It maintained good pressure without a lot of cycling. I have a full size compressor but it is a beast and hard to move. This thing is going to come in handy.

BTW, it appears to be the same motor diving this compressor as the PC 6 gal compressor. The only difference is the tank size and air outlets (the 6 gal has two vs one for the 3 gal).

DoubleEagle123 02-18-2013 07:10 PM

Will this compressor power something like this which requires 100 psi or will I have to wait until it recharges?

yosh2000 02-19-2013 09:12 AM

i just picked up a cheap $12 HF one for the time being...im really only going to be using this for tires and blowing stuff out for the time being, so the HF kit has worked good for that so far.

Was the hose sold separate from the accessory kit? Was the coupon just a generic HF 20% or was it specific for these items?

I will be going to HF tomorrow so I would like to know what to look for. Thanks!

Bought separate (red hose)......I used specific coupon, but 20% coupon should do!

Flyguy1 02-20-2013 10:04 AM

That hose is junk, won't last very long,If your gonna buy a hose at HF get the black rubber hoses in 25 or 50 ft lengths or the red rubber hose, the plastic and pvc ones will crack in winter weather and minor usage and those tools that come in the kit are junk, get a seperate fiting kit w/brass fittings as well, those aluminum ones are junk and the steel ones wil rust too, always remember to let the water drain out of the compressor after usage as well to keep it from rusting from the inside out ,just my humble opinion after 30+ yrs of compressor usage:) ,http://www.harborfreight.com/5-pi...68237.html , http://www.harborfreight.com/100-...69579.html , http://www.harborfreight.com/50-f...69479.html , http://www.harborfreight.com/1-4-...97447.html , http://www.harborfreight.com/100-...30268.html

Got one in the Eden Prairie Store in MN for $39. Online tracker said it was sold out everywhere, however they still had a couple in stock.

Nelifox 02-20-2013 09:35 PM

Picked mine up in Glendale, AZ for $39 but did not bite on the 2 year replacement warranty which was $7. Found a nice 72 piece air tool kit on CL tonight and will be picking it up tomorrow morning. Repped.

Good deal though!

ylomnstr 02-21-2013 09:24 AM

I ordered it at the $99 for instore pickup assuming I'd argue the price when I got there. I just printed out my online order confirmation and see that they only charged me $39! SWEET!

imaginer 02-25-2013 09:27 PM

I bought the 17 pieces accessories set, but have some leak when using the accessories. Does the seal tape will help?

Thanks.

yosh2000 02-26-2013 06:47 AM

yes, you always need to use the PTFE tape at every connection when working with air connections. you might even get a small leak if you leave the hose connected, so i always disconnect when not in use.

darrksunshine 03-02-2013 11:33 AM

Why would anyone want to compress pancakes? More goodness in each bite maybe? I like mine nice and fluffy.

pixelbender 03-02-2013 11:47 AM

Have had this since Christmas and I really like it. Same performance as the handful of 6 gallon pancakes I've used in the past but is a little lighter and easier to move around (physically smaller).
