I'm on with amazon right now trying to price match. One rep said it was possible so far. On with big items now

Well the next rep said they won't price match partners, Wtf is with that? They will price match other companies but not one advertising on their actual site. Makes alot of sense to me.

Is Beach Audio an authorized Panasonic dealer? If not, what does this do for the warranty?

I don't think they are and even if they are, Check this from their site.

The manufacturers of these items require that all returns go through them via included warranties.

I'm just gonna have to wait for amazon or a better dealer to have the item. I got nothing but time I guess.

I just read their entire price match gurantee at amazon.

To qualify for the Guarantee, you must first purchase the television sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com and find a lower price from Amazon.com, an eligible competitor's website or that eligible competitor's offer on Amazon.com within 14 days after the Amazon.com ship date. The lower price must remain in effect at the time your Guarantee request is verified by Amazon. Expired offers are not eligible.

I think that means they will match a lower price offered within 14 days of your purchase, not that they match "partner" pricing.

yeah me too - this "no return" policy stuff is crap - too much risk on a large screen TV

I woulda ordered no issue if amazon price matched but too much risk from that company.

I was ready to pull the trigger, too... but, do NOT like having to worry about a return to the manufacturer. If Amazon had this tv I'd be in for it.

Now it's up to $2499 and FS... Deal over, i guess.

buy.com still has it for 2,124.99. Also eligible for 5 times their rewards points that is worth of another ~100$. Buy through any cashback sites (upto 8%) and that makes the deal more slick

What is the thinking on buy.com/rakuten as far as warranty and return issues? Are they reliable for a big ticket item like this one?

Best Buy had it for $2199 yesterday, not sure if the price has changed since then. I was able to get my price match from the $2499 I spend 3 weeks ago at Best Buy

This is the very top rated television in the current issue of Consumer Reports, BTW. They say it has a price of $3700 for it.

Called Amazon and they can't do anything until tomorrow and then it will likely be sold out on buy.com. I bought it from rakuten.com/buy.com with the 5% CB through Discover Card and with the points for the glasses figure it is a great deal. Paid 2019.70 after the Discover CB and will get the 3D glasses for $8 each after Rakuten points. Bottom line paid $1913 after discounts. Am very pleased.
