Just got the new flyer from Lucky today. Noticed the 10% Off deal for GC on page 5. Did my search and realized it's not yet posted! Is there any way to make it a sweeter deal?(I still have $200 MasterCard deal from Safeway...)

Went to Lucky today, and grabbed Shell Gas, Amazon, & Chipotle. Paid with CC, and got rewards for the fuel card, too. Receipt uploaded.
Also, I've noticed that the store sells only Visa & AMEX gift cards(the prepaid credit gift cards), and the DM on the gift card rack actually shows Visa cards are excluded. It's slightly different than the printed flyer.

I was going to buy $300 Amazon GC today, but then the cashier told me they can only accept cash/debit card. I decided not to get them.

Just got out of Lucky, and managed to purchased $200 Shell, Amazon, & Chipotle GC without a problem. Paid with AMEX CC with $20 off instantly!

I haven't been to Lucky's in a long time. Do I have to be a registered member or something to get in on these promotions?

No, you don't need any membership to shop! However, you can grab the reward card at check out counter. That gives you 5c/ gallon off every $50 purchase at Shell gas station. It'd be double score for the deal! Especially the gas price is kinda crazy in CA right now!

Yes, they do expire by the end of next month. Say if you purchase the gift cards in February, then the reward for Shell gas will expire by the end of March. Usually I'll try to accumulate a bit, and I'll use it when my tank is really really low! (However, I'm driving a Prius, and it's only a 10G tank! the maximum I've saved once is $6.5...)

Thanks! Do I just sign up for the card and start accumulating points immediately? Wondering if I sign up in store, then buy $200 in gift cards (looking for travel gift cards), if I get the gas rewards or if I have to wait to register my card online.

Update: Went to store, signed up, points were awarded immediately. They don't have as many choices as Safeway, but $5 off plus rewards is pretty good.

Hmmm. I think it's just the discount line order got messed up. I purchased $200 GC in total for this receipt, so the last one was also eligible, too.

Yeah, you just need to get it when checking out. It's pretty easy! The points for the reward card usually show up within 30 mins. Just be aware the way to use the reward at Shell. It only allows you to use once before it expires, and a maximum of 20 gallons(guess it's probably good for 2 sedans at once...?).

Can this even be done? O_o I don't know that it can, but who knows..anyone know?
If this can be done in general? Even with smaller amounts?

Well, in fact, by buying the Shell gas cards, plus the reward you can get from purchase, the gas price ends up cheaper than Costco, Arco, & Valeros...(especially I dunno why Valeros is more expensive than Shell in my area. Odd!)

As long as they have it on the rack, it'd work. Every store's stock is sometimes different...

When checking out, if you don't have a Lucky reward card, just get one for free.

That gives you 5c off per gallon at Shell gas station with every $50 purchase. However, this is only a one time thing before the end of March for up to 20 gallons.

With $500 of purchase, you'd get another 50c off per gallon pumped. Depends on how big the tank is for your car, if it happens to be a 20-gallon-tank, then it's another $10 off! Also, some Shell stations have another 6c off or something when you use Shell gas card...

I think so! Last time when this promo happened before Christmas time, I just went to 2 different cashiers to separate my purchases on the same day. Or, if no luck, just try it on another day. The promo doesn't end for another 8 days!

Actually I was $482 short hitting the spending requirement for This. This is a no brainer for me.

Promo should also be good at Save Mart, S-Mart, and FoodMaxx....

I was at a Lucky and Savemart this morning. They did have Bloomingdales. They generally stock the Gift cards for merchants that are high priced to begin with(Apple, Nordstrom,Macys,Cheesecake Factory,etc). They don't stock Lowes, Home Depot, Arco, Costco, Walmart, etc. But like OP said, 10%+ off Shell's price isn't bad.

say I purchase 500 gc and paid 450,
and I can save 45 cent per gallon?
for each time I fill up the tank until the end of next month?

what if I purchase 1k and paid 900,
would be saving 90 cent per gallon?
and that would save me $9 each time for a 10 gallon dispense?

1) Yes, you'd save 45c/gallon, but only for once before it expires. Also, that once is only good for 20 gallons at most!

2) Yes, 90c/gallon. My example for 10 gallons is only because my Prius' tank is that big.

3) Yes, that's why I buy Shell gas cards a lot. Not only I can earn my CC reward points, but also use the Shell gas cards to get the cheaper gas price, too!

I was only able to buy $25 Shell gift cards (there were no $50 Shell gift cards available). How would I pay at the Shell gas station to use my fuel rewards and two $25 gift cards in one transaction? Or would I only be able to use a single gift card along with the fuel rewards in one transaction? Would I have to go to the cashier to handle this or can I use the fuel rewards and gift cards at the pump?

Got 300$ Shell GC for 270$. Paid with AMEX Blue Cash so I will get 5% cashback on 270$.

what's the max one can save per fill up at up to 20gal each time? (assuming one earned such rewards via purchases)
$1 /gal or

last week I paid $2.8/gal after $1.2/gal off, I believe the lowest you can get is $0.01/gal after applying rewards

the website said lowest price is 0.10, i wasn't sure if they were really serious in allowing us to take it from $4 (current price in CA) down to 0.10 / gallon (assuming we did some major GC purchases)

Anybody get this working at Albertsons?

Some of the other GC deals work both at Lucky & Albertsons.
