I have the Numax flooring stapler/nailer...worked great installing hardwood floors... The brand seems to be pretty good quality for the price.

tranquil 02-06-2013 07:05 AM

great price

summerschad 02-06-2013 07:12 AM

If I wouldn't have picked up on the Ryobi 2 set last year, I would be all over this, Nice deal.

Why does this feel like I'm watching an infomercial? Will I be able to quickly and easily do it? ;)

I agree. It feels like Home Depot sent all their employees on here to talk up their own stuff.

By the way, is this really a good deal? ;)

Sadly, it was the manufacturer, primeglobalproducts.com, who created all those accounts to bump this deal. It makes me question the quality of their product if they feel the need to try to shill their product. Leaving the post since it is a home depot sale but banned all the primeglobalproduct shills.

Arcticat 02-06-2013 08:05 AM

CMN3101E The system is unavailable due to "182234665".......maybe we got back at them.

AnnC9756 02-06-2013 08:06 AM

Regardless it's still a great deal.

Especially that you can now return online orders to the store.

Thanks it's mods like you that keep SD great despite all the garbage people pull. Also thanks for the explanation, I was really trying to figure that one out as I assumed it wasn't HD trying that ;)

Binar 02-06-2013 08:46 AM

Numax who?

jdevan00 02-06-2013 09:18 AM

why this item over the Husky for the same price?

illogos 02-06-2013 09:28 AM

Anyone who can input... why pneumatic instead of electric if all you want is small around the house jobs?

ogre177age 02-06-2013 09:46 AM

might be a dumb question, but do "nailer nails" cost more than buying them in a box of the same type of nail loose? I've never owned nail guns before, but now that I have a compressor.. thinking about getting some.

nastyemu 02-06-2013 10:33 AM

I have the numax framing nailer and it is pretty boss. Solidly built and gets the job done if you're just a DIY guy with a few projects a year. I doubt it has the longevity that a professional would need. If i didn't already have a Porter Cable finish nailer i'd probably bite on these units...

I wouldn't use HF nails in any nailer though...

What nails would you recommend?

Really good question. That one seems pretty available locally for me (though it is showing at $99 at checkout). And good reviews. I can't find any reviews for *this* numax model (though their other 3pc kit seems to be well regarded).

I know. I'll get both!:)

MarcusG1145 02-06-2013 11:13 AM

Just a quick FYI that HD also has a similar deal for 'Husky 3-Pieces Finish Nailer Kit' $59 -- not sure the difference in quality (if any) between the two brands.

illogos 02-06-2013 11:47 AM

Would the 3 gal HDX compressor that HD has for $20 be enough for these nailers? Or would it be better to get the 3.5 gal Porter-Cable compressor that HD has for $59?

The $20 would sink the nails assuming you aren't rapid firing them faster than the air compressor can stay above 90 psi.

I've used HF nails for dozens of projects they work fine... really, how much do you expect a brad to do but go in the wood without bending?

People who say crap like that remind me if the dimwits that would argue that $10 monoprice HDMI cables would blow up your speakers and you needed to pay $100 to Best Buy for an HDMI cable. Notice those people have shut up now huh?

And BTW, spam not withstanding, 60 bucks for 3 air nailers seems like a no brainer to me. (no experience with this brand but still)

my PC finish nailer jammed at least a couple times a strip with the HF nails and the last 4 or 5 on the strip almost always set sideways or blasted through at a weird angle which left a bigger hole to be filled. i switched to the PC brand nails and had no worries after that.

IN41INXS 02-06-2013 01:29 PM

Thanks prime global. I ordered this item but will be promptly returning it when it arrives. I will get the husky model.

Sounds like your nailer is improperly adjusted, and you likely would have had the same problem with Maze nails or any other different brand.

I've only used about 30,000 HF nails, but have had no problems with any of them.

Possibly, and likely probable, but I've run about 500+ porter cable nails through it after that and it didn't have a problem.

You know how it goes, one bad experience with a brand and you just swear off of it...

ogp 02-07-2013 08:20 AM

This was a great deal. I picked it up in December for $73.66.

MrBOFH 02-11-2013 02:29 PM

Set came in today (Could not get the Husky as it was sold out) They feel pretty sturdy.

be careful, the bag they come in is full of what seems like fine gritty sand. (looks to be the material used for the units covering) Good thing they capped of the air supply quick coupler. I used a damp cloth to get the rest of it off.

They'll be subjected to home owner duty so pretty light. Crown molding and small carpentry work.

illogos 02-15-2013 06:06 AM

Missed out on this deal, but I did find this same set but Husky branded on clearance for $49 in Glendale Heights, IL. They had 1 more left.
