Dark Spot Serum Test from the Beauty Lab
 

Dear All,

Our records indicate that you are interested in testing a Dark Spot Serum at home as part of our Anti-Aging beauty product testing. This will be an 8 week long study and you would need to apply the assigned serum that will be sent to you every day according to the directions on the product bottle.

As a first step, we would need you to take the following pre-questionnaire. This will help us get more details of your needs to determine if we can assign you a product and enroll you in our study.

Please understand that we enroll our testers on a first come first served basis. We apologize in advance, in case if the study fills up before we can enroll you.

I just got an interesting message. If they don't have a consent form faxed or scanned and emailed by 5pm tomorrow, they're booting me. It's the first follow-up I've had since the screener, so it's slightly weird that they left the consent form issue until the last minute like this. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

Got the email, have to wait until tomorrow morning to scan it and email it back. Hubby pretty sick, went to bed early and I don't want to wake him doing this tonight...wish it was a form you just filled out online and submitted, so much easier!

I just now checked my email and got this email from them. Said that if I do not sign and email in time, don't worry that they are having more anti-aging surveys that I can try for.

Signed the form, scanned and emailed.

You can use any of these if they are close to you for free.

i read that contract and has anyone noticed that they stated they are not responsible FOR DEATH caused by their product? makes me leery

I received a response from Megan Inayoshi, who sent the original email about the consent form and she said they did not receive my consent form that I sent Thursday night to ghribeauty@hearst.com and asked me to resend it. There was a delay due to the storm so she accepted my consent form today, and I am in for this product test.

Megan replied to my inquiry as to whether my form was recieved, but she didn't actually confirm that I am in the study. We shall see!

I just got n email saying my consent form is missing. Sheesh. I emailed it the next morning after printing and filling it out and scanning it. Gonna ave to repeat it all tomorrow morning...

Our records indicate that you have signed up for the Dark Spot Serum test but have not filled out a recent consent form. Please sign, print and send the attached form by email or fax to us as soon as you can. If you cannot send us the consent form by midday tomorrow (Valentine’s Day) unfortunately we will not be able to include you in our test.

Please note that you can only participate in this test if you are 35 and older and are female and we need to have an actual signature from you and electronic signatures are not accepted.

Please also note that this is a private e-mail and it is not to be posted on any websites or forwarded. If you have friends or family (female and above the age of 35) who are interested in participating in our anti-aging studies, we would love to hear from them via e-mail at ghribeauty@hearst.com. This will allow us to ensure everyone who participates in our tests has filled out the necessary paper work.

for anybody who doesn't have access to a fax there is a thing called ---faxzero you take a picture of the letter consent form or anything you need to send and then send it through your computer ..all you need is the persons fax number...

I am on the West Coast - don't know if that's right or left of you, haha.. I received my package via USPS Friday afternoon, comes in a medium sized padded envelope and you receive serum + sunscreen/moisturizer. Hope yours arrives soon!

The paper that came with serum doesn't specify who to email it to, but I emailed it to the person whom took the scanned & signed consent form (baral@hearst.com) and asked for a reply that it was received. It was.

how's everyone doing so far?

Not sure what this stuff will do, but the scent is VERY unusual. To me anyhow, it almost smells like I'm applying a watery "ginger snap cookie" batter to my neck!:D

I received an email 3 hours ago that I am not on file and need to fax/email my consent form, so maybe they still have spots for the 2013 Anti-Aging Skin Care Studies!

I will try the fax thing first, but maybe emailing would be more reliable.

I got an email reminder last night to confirm that I recieved products and to send a picture. I had already done that, so I am hoping this was a mass email to all.

I got an email right away telling me he/she received my photo. I asked for a reply when they received it, do I didn't have to do it again like the faxed sheet...

Not sure why that person isn't replying back to me since I also asked for confirmation that my photo was received. I sent emails to both addresses that I had for the study and still nothing. Oh well.

Lol, I know, I thought it was just me. I guess if we don't get another email to send photos, then we are good.

Like how it absorbs in fast, not liking the spicy cake batter or cookie smell. I usually like lite scented lotions but this one is driving me nuts and I don't even know why...

I like this stuff too. Scent is pleasant and the darker sun spot damage does appear to be faded. It seems to be about time to do the Ending Survey.

*my mistake, was looking at next month on the calendar.....have Friday May 3rd as the 8th week.

I started using the serum on 2-20, and I know some folks got theirs before I did; 4-17, today, it is exactly 8 weeks for me. Has anyone gotten an email asking them to do the final survey, or gone to the URL given in the paperwork to do the survey, yet?

I received mine later than most it seems. The end of the 8th week for me is May 3rd.

This stuff really works. Have sundamage/freckles and I can really see a reduction in the darkness and overall coverage of the freckling.

so glad that this was a good product. had one facial serum I tested last year that broke me out like a teenager. ick lol

I just received an email from them reminding me to do the follow up survey and they provided the link in the email, I assume the same as in the paperwork but I did not check. I had received my product on 2/14.

My Mom recieved the survey on 2/19 and received the survey to complete on 4/17. She said that it was easy. Plus, she is happy that it helped remove those dark spots. Made her feel better about herself ! :)

there was nothing about another picture in my email, just a few questions.

well, I emailed the original person who I dealt with. Actually just hit 'reply' to their last email...stating I didn't get the final survey. Hope I hear back from them.

I hadn't either and I couldn't find the paperwork that came with the serum. The link you use for the follow up survey was in it. I emailed 3 different times over the past 9 days and no reply from either person. I finally found a copy of my link and did follow-up survey a few days ago, but have no idea if it went through or not.
