A few good deals there, but nothing great for cashing out rewards (which luckily I'm caught up on presently). Thanks for posting.

? By the way you are the time winner of posting this week's deal. I tried to get the other one merged into this one but I don't know what the mod actually did as they never were merged.

They had different items originally but were edited to repost each other. I reverted both back to the original so the items/posts are unique.

They are in the process of implementing new rule not to let the users to edit the original post any more....I was just told.

Let's take a vote of which 1 of the 3 threads we are going to follow and let the other 2 die. :)

I vote for this one as BluGuy was quicker on the trigger.

Double that. What is with $3.99 ream paper? I don't care if it is limit 4. It could be limit 10 at that price and I still would not buy it. Or are they pushing the 5 ream for $4.99 ARew by by pricing the single ream at $3.99?

I don't know if it matters. This week of 2/10 sucks. Most likely discussion will be limited to the app coupons being dead or better yet some new app coupons. One can hope. Next week has President's Day. Let's hope it's better.

True...their weekly ad getting worse week by week....

rubadub 02-07-2013 08:00 AM

Agree with prior posts - ad sucks and let's just stick to Bluguy's thread. Anyone who posts in the other threads will be banned from next week's Staples thread.

toantravinh 02-07-2013 08:01 AM

why we don't go to PayPal credit card reader :D:D

toantravinh 02-07-2013 08:09 AM

And maybe Staples will release some good coupons in next week
like 25% back on rewards, or scratch card 50% off entire purchase
I was told by Corporate, If Weekly Ad suck, then will have some good deal or good coupon
If Weekly Ad best, NO more coupon

treMMor 02-07-2013 08:20 AM

Yes, though it doesn't matter much this week, lets stick with BluGuy's thread so we only need to check 1 main Staples thread this week.

Most of the time the 25% rewards are limited to end of fiscal quarters in Jul and Jan. Sept was an odd one. As to the coupons are better the worse the weekly ad, never noticed that trend but who knows you could be right.

Even though this is not in this ad for the week of 2/10, is the $15 purchase rebate not just part of buying the reader? Wonder how long that promo lasts.

ETA: For anyone who has not bought the Total Defense IS or Total Defense IS Premium, these items are FAR but MIRS. Good for cashing out rewards potentially. Limit 1 of each product during the entire offer period which runs until 11/10/13. Couple that with 3 PayPal readers (if this purchase rebate is still in effect the week of 2/10) and you have $115 you can spend rewards on and get your money back.

billcsho 02-07-2013 08:47 AM

I expect better deals the week after as they usually have some FAR items for the President Day. I will save my rewards and gift cards for that.

I bit on the Total Defense products today using $20 off SW and $10/$75 app coupons. I threw in a photo paper to make it over $75. Will submit that one (5th) on the secondary Rebate/PP account. On the Total Defense rebate forms I almost missed where you needed to select Check (or Staples GC) instead of Visa PP. Didn't you mention that you also sent in the rebate receipt even though it did not ask for it?

P.S. What happened to InfinityandBeyond?

Maybe that was his plan.

I sent in both because I sent in the rebate redemption form from the rebate center. Used that because it is more legible. So, I needed proof of purchase. You know how screwed up Staples has the McAfee rebates where it does not mention receipt even though the McAfee site says you need it. I figured it wouldn't hurt.

Oh infinity and beyond was just a passing fancy. Maybe next name change.:shake:

I plan to do the same. Better safe than sorry. It's crazy because the form on the rebate center states "Mail this form and the proof of purchase (listed in the promotion details)" but in the promotion details it only mentions sending a packing slip (invoice) for .com/catalog purchases.

Definitely does not need any UPCs, activation, etc. Correct? Let's see how smooth these go through. The McAfee MIRs have been surprisingly swift recently.

I am just following what I quizzed VivYip about on fw regarding these rebates. They said just those 2 forms and since this has been going on since Nov. they already have their rebates. They said no need to open the box or install the software nor cut out the UPC. It is activated on purchase by Staples with the s/n on the receipt.

Yes, the McaFees have been smooth. Knock on wood. I bet I get those rebates quicker than an Easy Rebate. I tracked when I mailed in and when they sent the email confirmation they got it and validated it. Plus the Always On $20 rebates were the icing on the cake.

Welcome to the club, Watson! :woot:

Anyone know if the buy 2 get 1 free case paper works on kiosk orders? Need to order 3 cases for work, otherwise wouldn't be bothering with this promo.

One of the cases will be the Staples MP that has the $25 off q this week, a $10 case paper for the second paid case, and a 10/75 (and maybe even a 10/50 OS). If the promo works, the Staples MP is the cheapest and will probably be the free anyway, so can probably stack another case paper q on top...

If you have a 25% off UBS flash drive coupon from the Staples app, this would be $3.75 + tax. And it's Kingston, which are some of the better flash drives IMO.

Actually Math, not only the Always on, the regular Mcafee ones for the IS and TP I sent in 2 weeks back, I was shocked when I received an email for both of them just(1 approved, and 1 Missing receipt, but fixed it with a chat) exactly after 9 days I mailed them. Probably they are speeding up the Mcafee ones, or it might be because of the end of holiday season.

Last time I did a McAfee rebate was in 2011 and it was quicker than the Easy Rebates even then. Who would have thought snail mail could be quicker. It took 7-8 days for my email acknowledgements from date mailed. Maybe McAfee is better since they got bought out by Intel.

Math/Dr. W. Quick question on the TD rebates.
It's the same rebate form for either TD IS and TD IS Prem. Right? Did you send both in the same envelope?

The in-store, register printed rebate forms are different. 1 each for the respective SW title. They DO have the same rebate number of 12-31281 though.I would recommend to mail them separately..

No, one rebate is to be mailed per envelope. They tell you that right on the form. IF you decide to print the form from the rebate site instead of using the rebate redemption form printed by the register, print the form from each rebate. They are slightly different. Remember that with either form there is a section where you tell them the form of payment you would like; check, VISA card, gift card.

To answer my own question, promo does not work on kiosk orders. Cashier double checked by manually entering a couple of extra cases to make sure the promo was working at the register.

Also, the OS q did not stack on top of the other q's.

Not that anyone should care because we should only buy cases when they are free or MM

P.S. What happened to InfinityandBeyond?

Maybe that was his plan.

How much are the TD products, please? I am working on combos to maximize use of app coupons. TIA.

Yes. Coupons are valid till 2/9 ( so we know) but reply was specific to guy. No way he could've gotten it even if he had started it tonight.

Thanks a lot. Went to the store, and they told they had 1 in stock. Brought one after price override with staples.com, and used the 20$ off Camera coupon, which worked fine.

Also, went around the store and saw the Epson WorkForce 845 printe on clearance for 27.50(Original was 139.99). Tried the 20$ off printer coupon, to make it a super price, but did not work. Anyway brought the printer.

Staples blows chunks this year. Not enough decent deals to (re)qualify for Premier. The FAR are not FAR as they require combo purchases.

On the Rewards side, most everything is way over priced vs Amazon or elsewhere that they look to be worth half their value.

:(

dbl118 02-08-2013 10:06 AM

I'm in my second month. I'm already $200+ toward premier. I'd be nearly halfway to $1000 if I had thought of just doubling up on all purchases and sending the mail-in rebates for my father too, who is willing to play along if I do all the work.

My problem is the making money component. It feels like every week there is scrambling to try and make $0-$25, while usually picking up a product that has a value of $0. So is this all worth it just to recycled 10 cartons more and pick up <20 extra a month? You can make money 10x faster by opening up credit cards, so it's hard to figure if this is really worth it for more than just a hobby.

As a newbie here, I'm not terribly impressed with 2013...I'm hoping there is more to this game.

I don't think anyone does this to make tons of $ (except maybe Jaxx with his 20 accounts ). I've only been doing this for about 1.5 years but for me personally, mostly it's just fun to work out the math for deals and the thrill of the hunt. You can also save money at Staples with the right coupon/deal combos so sometimes it's making money by saving money (cheap printers, K-cups, chairs, cameras, etc). On top of that, pay with Rewards and you end up with a lot of goodies for next to nothing OOP.

The $40/mo plus free stuff and MM is nothing to sneeze at either way. Credit cards deals are definitely more costly in the long run considering the hit to your credit score and the thousands more you'll pay later in interest on mortgage, auto loans, etc. Not worth it just to make a few hundred today.

Kaspersky FAR after 20% coupon + 100% rewards made me go into $800 mark. $200 more to go.

Just got to do all of the above, and scale it up :) This is my wife's part time job, managing 4 premier accounts + doing points activities. Now that Office Depot has shut down the gift card game, we'll have to reinvent around the next deal. Was nice while it lasted, was good for another $750-$1000 a month in income.

I think there are a few who already made premier or requalified for premier already. At least from their posts that is what they implied. I am only at $700+ YTD and none of that was from 100% rewards items and nothing OOP once the rebates are in hand. I should have done more of the Kaspersky very early in January when I had the chance. Did a few of those. And no I did not submit rebates for a second account while buying for a primary rewards account.

I'll just say this.. I got the zs19 panny camera last month for $118 before rewards credits ($80 after credits post) and the cheapest you can find that camera is around 250 new.

Can't speak for others, but this is a hobby that also makes money for me. It's a way to pick up fun gadgets like tablets (looking for a Nexus deal), cameras, laptops w/o the guilt. I picked up an underwater camera for $5 last year right before our Hawaii vacation, and we had a blast with a toy I wouldn't have purchased otherwise. My wife also has her own business, and it's nice to help her get nearly all her office supplies for free.

You do have to contend with the FAR photo papers in order to build toward Premium or to cash out Rewards. But once you make Premium, your scrambling is a lot less because you have much longer to cash out/use up Rewards, and you can plan/wait for bigger purchases instead of the tiny ones.

If you are not at least a little tickled by the audacity of some of the slickest deals, and it's only about the money, I suggest there are better ways to make money for your time. But if you pick and choose only those deals that you can use or you find exciting, it would probably be much more enjoyable.

BTW, I would say $200 so far is actually a pretty good start.

1217topher 02-08-2013 11:26 AM

If you have a family to support. Rewards are a great way to stockpile on toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, cleaning supplies, batteries, etc. You can also get pretty much all of your back to school supplies for free. I can also afford to buy the occasional electronic device I would normally skip (kindle fire, color laser printer, Roku box, etc). I make more money by the hour at work, but have more fun doing this. Kind of like a Staples scanvenger hunt for adults.

and money from rebate can cover my car insurance :P

Sportsaholic 02-08-2013 12:46 PM

I am also new to this staples game and would like to know when does usually everyone recycle their inks? Wait for a better deal like double double and if nothing good comes, during the last week of the month? Also if I become premier in May this year, I will stay premier during the rest of 2013 and all of 2014, is this correct? TIA!

Well, I'm OK with it now for the newness factor. I guess my problem is I pretty much need nothing that Staples sells. I"m also not a tech. person, so getting deals there doesn't help me. I want $$$.

However as a credit card churning guy, I HAVE to point out you are dead wrong. I have made over 20K from credit card deals in the last 3 years and my credit score has hardly changed. I got 9 new cards in January, and my credit score went up. I refinanced last year and my credit score just missed their highest threshhold...it wound up literally costing me $6 . I should point out that it is nearly all manufactured spending... most months I have less than 1K real spend on my cards. Simply put, Staples is like the minor league version of card churning. I guess I'm just hoping there is more to this.

For instance is there anybody in January that just bought 4 packs of 4x6 photo paper to spend their $40 reward check, and that's about all they did?

20K? Really? which cards and how many? I do almost all CC bonus deals, but 20K seems a lot

dbl118 02-08-2013 03:15 PM

Well pretty much every card. And some more than once and multiples at the same time. The deals are always changing. For instance you can get 2 American Airline cards that will net you 100,000 miles+$300 bonus I believe. Even if you don't fly, if you know what to do, that can be turned into ~$1700. You need to be a big spender or have manufactured spend.

Not trying to get off topic, just pointing out that if you are in the Staples game to make money, there are easier and more efficient ways if you aren't doing them that require a similar skillset (organization, studying, not impulsive). Staples seems more of a hobbytype thing unless you scale it.

I have both the AA Amex and Visa for 100K points and some $100 GC that got paid back. Assuming you value that to $1700, you are still short of $18,300. You can't roll these(Citi cards) until after 18 months have passed since you close your accounts. You can't roll any of the Chase cards and I guess that goes for Discover too.

You are not off topic, I do ALL money making deals I can put my hands on. I have been eating CC bonuses along with OM and Staples MM deals plus here and there whatever pops up. But 20K in 3 years just off the CC bonuses, doesn't get digested easily.

Staples gives you $36 (after ink costs) for one premier account every month. Then there are deals and coupons. Even if it averages to $40/mo/acct, that is $480/year/acct. I know all staples gamers do much more than that. MUCH MORE.

 I hope your reply is something Sheldon never gets ! If it isn't, and I am no Sheldon, the thing is he can't get bonus again on the card he's already got bonus on ! Citi has wait time of 18 months after you close account. Chase, forget it. Once you get bonus, never again on same card. Then again, there is question of making those points into hard cash. You can sell some but others, not so much. Delta redemption is pathetic.

Is it that easy to have multiple Premier accounts (aside from the spending requirements)? I just started doing Staples deals this year and havn't looked into this possiblity.

dbl118 02-08-2013 04:24 PM

Not exaggerating. That's all under my name, if you add 2 other people that I do these deals for (they keep the money though), we are looking at more like 35k. I'm by no means the best or most knowledgeable person at this either.

There are literally dozens of cards out there right now that will net you $250-400. Some you can get over and over again.

A couple other of big deals...lets see...100K british airways miles for one purchase. Very conservatively that's $1000. Am Ex a year or two ago 100K for one card and 75K for another card. Bought $25 gap cards on 50% off sale (A LOT OF THEM) and sold them back through sites like plastic jungle. That netted me about $3000. When I was robbed last year, that pile of gap cards casually sitting right in front of the robbers faces was the most valuable thing in my house. Capital one a couple years ago matched airlines miles from another airline when you opened their card, up to 100K miles. So matched that. Keep in mind most cards have business/personal, and some you can get visa/american express version of.

As far as turning 100,000 AA into $1700, I can turn it into $1400...but the cards each come with $150 hidden "bonus". As far as how to turn it into $1400, that's another story, but if you are using them to fly, they are already more valuable than that.

So it can easily add up to 20K in 3 years. It seems that even if I had premier, it would be a struggle just to make 1K per year. Sadly for me, I'm short on additional mailing addresses to scale things.

Not if you use those miles for an actual flight on BA. More like $450 after they charge you an arm and a leg for taxes.

multiple addresses, multiple accounts. Last year was golden to reach premier. Talk to jaxxboss. He has 20 or so lol

Sadly for me, I'm short on additional mailing addresses to scale things.

mind sharing those dozens of card that are out ther, literally? Share the love?

You can always fly AA with them and avoid the taxes. But they are definitely worth more than $450 regardless.

That is all they were worth to me when I booked a flight to London versus the non Avios fares on BA.

Wow...it's always been drilled into my head that opening too many new credit cards is bad for your credit score. Thanks for sharing your experience. Need to re-consider passing on all of these credit card deals. Wouldn't necessarily do it to make $, but some of those credit card deals seem like really easy money. Spend shouldn't be an issue either if I charge stuff for work that gets reimbursed. (Also how/why I opened my third Staples account recently)

Another question, if you don't mind: do you reckon these items would be in stock if I phoned in an order? They are, as you already know, not available online. Not sure if phone orders come from staples.com inventory.

My guess would be no since Staples.com is online or by phone. You can always call and ask. I have never phoned in an order so I am guessing here totally.

Also if I become premier in May this year, I will stay premier during the rest of 2013 and all of 2014, is this correct? TIA!

Unless you are like me and staples is on the other side of town and you always seem to forget at the end of the month. Then you recycle them whenever you remember and happen to be there.

It's possible, but I think the OP makes it sound easier than it actually is because very few cards are churnable. That Citi deal is pretty much dead too, 2 browser trick got nerfed, there's no longer statement credit (depending on the offer) and it's 40K not 50K or 75K anymore. Also, points have a great variation in worth and how you redeem them.

But to offer a data point - In the last two years, I've done Amex PRG for 100K, Amex Gold Biz for 100K, Citi AA Amex for 75K, Citi AA MC for 75K, Citi AA Biz for 50K, Chase United Explorer card for 65K, Citi Premier Visa for 50K, Citi Premier MC for 50K, Chase Sapphire Preferred for 50K, Chase Ink Bold for 65K, Chase Ink Plus for 50K, US Bank Visa olympics promo for 33K, Chase Freedom for 30K. I'm also on my 3rd churn of Hawaiian for 35K each. Multiply that by 2 with my wife doing the same, and we've knocked out a lot of travel and cash outs.

The trick is knowing how to cash out if you don't want to travel. I found a loophole with Amex MR and used our points for a $4500 downpayment on a minivan. Used Citi bonuses to cash out directly to paying down our mortgage $2K. Traded a few bookings of international tickets for cash for a colleague. Year before, used Chase UR points at the Black Friday sale and returns to double my points worth. Chase and Discover cash out either at 0.01c a point, or you leverage it to buy gift cards at a % off.... like 25% off Staples gift cards with Discover. Opportunities are out there, but you have to be like a shark, always moving from deal to deal and searching for prey.

Signup bonuses are great but it's hard not to run out of most of the juicy ones. That's where manufactured spend either with Amazon Payments, Serve, and the host of prepaid cards (Target, VisaBuxx, Paypal) offer opportunities for the patient. They finally killed the most lucrative one last week, but not before we passed the 1 million Chase UR mark between our accounts - that's a serious chunk of change there.

But honestly.... we have a lot more fun doing Staples deals. You know you scored a good one when the manager won't look you in the eye :)

They should be issued next Monday night/Tuesday Morning. Rewards site says the following, but they always show up earlier.

Quote:

If you've earned qualifying Rewards, you'll receive them via email on February 14 or in home between February 23 - March 1, 2013.

Log out of your Rewards account and the date is on the Rewards homepage where you login. This has been updated by Staples in this location for quite a few months now.

Absolutely I agree with you. I have all of those CCs too. And for just one person, it's no where close to 20K. And converting those to cash is difficult. Of course, you need to meet spending limits. e.g. 5K for 50K points in 6 months. Easy with AP, but only if you do 1 card at a time.
But yeah, Staples is fun

AFAIK, all Chase CCs are not rollable. I'm also interested in knowing whether the Amex and Citi CCs are rollable.

Generally chase can't get again. Am ex. often gives you the terms when you apply, I think it's usually about a year. I'm relatively new in the game and I'm on my 3rd delta card and I've gotten a gold card twice. Citi about a year and a half, US Air barclay card highly churnable. BofA you can get again pretty quick too I've heard.

Citi thank you points can always be redeemed 1-1 via mortgage statement >- check to bank account. If you don't sell Amex, you can redeem for gift cards and in the past there have been 50% off deals. BofA can be converted to cash through bank account with them at better than 1-1. Chase if not sold is always at least 1-1 pure cash.

It's not easy, but given all the hoops you guys go through to take pennies from staples, it's not really any harder and more lucrative. And there are a lot of cards out there. LIke for instance you might have heard of Chase Ink card offering $500 bonus. What you might not know is that there are actually 4 versions of the card

With constant churning of certain cards, doesn't the amount of credit inquiries showing on your report become a limiting factor? I know that Chase considers how many recent inquiries you have, not sure about other banks.

By 4 versions of the Ink cards, are you including the ones with lower bonuses or do you mean both the Visa/MC version of the Plus and Ink?

You need to be aware that some banks can crack these down and forfeit points. Chase is one I guess.

Chase calculates risk by having total credit given to you by Chase itself, at first If you have 3-4 cards by Chase already, you may not get another one. Of course, you can get by if you revolve your credit around. Lower limit on others to get total lowered limit as new limit on new card. Or closing an account for a new account with new bonus.
I think he did mean both MC and Visa versions of business cards.

No, it is not pennies as the gift card deal in November was quite profitable for some to the tune of hundreds of dollars at zero risk.

The cc game keeps changing. Some years ago it was profitable to take balance transfers at 0% and no fees and redeposit that money in a 5% money market account. You have to be willing to adjust. Low interest rates and balance transfers fees have pretty much killed that game.

The Staples game changes as well. In 2010 they were paying $3/cart. Before that there was even more profit opportunity but that was before I got in the game.

i miss those days and days of coins by mint. And citi cards that allowed bonuses again n again. And when gas was a buck a gallon. TVs fat n people lean, which is reversed now.

Edit: And funny thing happened about that November GC thing. They sent me twice as much for each rebate  I never followed that thread after that, but not sure if it was for everybody.

Bump...or any Staples app coupon that wasn't verified with a new 3/1/13 expiration date by byrne3 here: http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...count=2848

FWIW, those 5 ream half-cases of paper are limit 2 half cases for the entire promo which runs through 3/2. NOT 2 per week. This is per the terms posted in the store.

Anyone know about the $10 off $75 app coupons that start with 7716? Do they have the new expiration date, or have they already expired?

If it is not on Byrne3's list, they indicated it is dead. If it says expired when you enter it online assume it is dead. Only those that show must use in-store are assumed valid.

Does computer purchase count towards yearly spend for premier account?

cobjones 02-10-2013 04:16 PM

I have a question.

I have a credit card that has a contract price on it. Will staples rewards specials be given back? I know coupons dont work, but can't remember on previous purchases if they worked.

Edit: Never mind. I went back and check and here is how it works with contract cards. Good thing is my work lets me put in as many cards as we want to get the discounts, so I have one personal and one work card.

%off coupons and $off coupons do not work with the credit card if it is on a contract.
Rewards and Bonus rewards do work at full percentages.

Yes. Almost all purchases count. Subtotal after coupons, rewards and pre tax.

Yes, 7716 and also 5022 (#2 and #3 $10/$75) are dead. I haven't checked the very first $10/$75 because I never generated that one..

The first 4 coupons from the sequence I either never generated or used and since deleted. I'm about 99.99% sure they are dead, but if anyone has one and wants to give it a try here are the ones I haven't tested:

0. $10 off $75 <<<< Coupon removed as first coupon on 3/25.
0. $10 off $60 ink <<<<< Coupon removed as first coupon on 5/3.
0. $10 off any case paper <<<<< Coupon removed as first coupon on 5/19.
0. 25% off copy/print <<<<< Coupon removed as first coupon on 6/13.

Question for the veterans:

There is another coupon this week for $25 off a case of Staples MP paper (513096). There is also a rebate for BOGO for online purchases, but it is an "up to $49.99" rebate. Have they ever had this type of rebate before? Is it enforced like the BTS rebates? And how is it enforced?

My thoughts are that one could do a kiosk order, convince the cashier to scan the $25 q twice (assuming it would actually take twice at the register), and also stack the OS q. Net paid would be $40 + tax. If you receive the full $49.99 rebate, it would be $10 MM + $4 back in Rewards which would cover the tax.

Initially I thought the "up to" was there so that if you use the $25 q, the case that is discounted by the q would be the case that is free. However, the $25 q is in-store only while the rebate is for online orders only, so there shouldn't be any connection between the q and the rebate. Of course there are online q's, and I suppose this is where my question of "how" is asked. If you use a $20 q (just saying $20 to make the math simple) would you get $40 back in rebates (q discounts each case to $40) or $30 back (q discounts only one case to $30)?

Unless anyone has previous experience or information that indicates I would get back less than a $40 rebate (i.e., I would end up OOP), I will probably try this out.

It is marked off because it is showing expired when entered online not that it is still being generated. Leave it to Staples to potentially tick off their customers if they go to use it and it comes up expired.

You remember the $50 laptop coupon that I was talking to you about??

I tried that in store and it did not work (which was what I expected)... Manager wrote the coupon \ in a piece of paper, went in and came back... And he said that the coupon is fake.. I was ticked off with that kind of response... I told him that it was generated from staples app on my iphone.. And he said that anyone who is a developer can submit an app and put coupons.. I did not try to argue more... Gave a sarcastic smile and bought the laptop without the coupon... Got to love those with no knowledge...

just wait to Feb 14 when I have rewards for this laptop :(
http://slickdeals.net/f/5849396-T...g-Staples?

Actually for the coupon $75 off Windows laptop, desktop, tablet.
I have $180 on rewards from Ink recycle and 25% Back on rewards promo :P

The fact that coupons are still being generated that are expired makes no sense given that they programmed the app coupons to be skipped previously when they no longer wanted them to be used. Like the computer coupon, etc.

Anyone have an idea on when Staples might start to sell the Nikon D5200? I wanted to use my rewards to get one. If its over 2 months I might just use part of my rewards to get a new tablet and then wait a few months to get a D5200.

Here's a slightly off topic question. Does the purchase of gift cards at Staples count toward your $1,000 threshold to retain Premier status?

YMMV, I made premier this year by buying 1k of the visa giftcards during the deal they ran. Did not have anywhere near 1k in purchases otherwise.

Have not seen people posted this so maybe regional. I visited two local staples in the bay area, purchased the $0.99 Kleenex, and received at $5 off $25 coupon valid from 2/12 - 3/2.

I don't think it is status specific since I did one purchase with a permier account and one with a regular account.

i think it's random or something. I went to a staples on saturday. the guy in front of me got a coupon, I didn't (I was premier). So I think if you hit the lucky transaction number or whatever you get a coupon...

If that is the case, then I am really lucky, since I got two coupons in two transaction.

Since, there is nothing I want to buy this week, I guess I could go in and recycle my 20 carts one by one.:lmao: There have been posts you can get this coupon when recycling ink carts. Not going there just to get Kleenex.

I got one for not even purchasing anything. I was returning some ink. Turned around and went and used it.

Hi, just received staples premier status by buying the visa gift card deals previously. Since I never did ink recycle in the past, just wonder what kind of inks your guys buy from ebay and how much you generally pay for them. Could you give a link of the ink on ebay? Thanks and Tia.

amc2007 02-11-2013 11:07 AM

I looked at this wiki but didn't see the answer to my question.

The only thing that looks good to me in this ad is the Kleenex, but I have a $15 in one rewards check to spend. Do you need to spend the entire rewards check in one transaction, or can I use some of it towards just the .99 kleenex? TIA!

You should get a balance coupon for $14 if these are the original rewards. You must use the entire balance on a future purchase. The balance coupon will expire at the same time as the original rewards. Doesn't seem worth it for a $1 item.

I believe this has been mentioned many times, but get the cheapest possible. $0.15 to $0.17 is generally a good striking price to pay per ink.

Someone would have to convince me that a rewards account would get more than one coupon. In the $5 coupon thread (you know someone would start one) you only seem to be able to get one per rewards account. Since you need to give a rewards number to recycle ink, that question would need to be resolved first.

There are BOGO after rebate on case paper this week. Would cost you $25 for 2 cases AR. $20 a case on CL from other posts. This is really a bad week to find MM deals online. Order 6 PayPal readers and use 2 PayPal accounts?

Just go a $1 MM for Staples if you have to coupon wallet coupon (25 off 75).

Item 103606
PayPal Credit Card Reader for Tablets and Smartphones
at $14.99 (3) = $44.97 ($45 credit from Paypal) = +$0.03

Item 982461
Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2013 for Windows (1-3 User) [Boxed]
at $34.99 ($15 Rebate) = $19.99

Coupon (25 off 75) if in your coupon wallet.

44.97 + 34.99 = $79.9 - $25 (coupon) + tax ($4) = ~59 OOP - $45 (paypal credit) - $15 (rebate) = +1.00 MM
