1 Attachment(s)
Steam has Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) on sale this weekend (2/7-2/11) for $7.49 (50% off).
Also, the Counter-Strike Complete pack (CS, CS:CZ, CS:S, and CS:GO) is 50% off as well and going for $14.99 CS:GO: http://store.steampowered.com/app/730/ CS Complete: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/16223/ Again, offer ends Sun 11 Feb. As a note, the individual games in CS Complete are on sale too (75% off CS, CS:CZ, and CS:S individually). If you don't have Steam, you can download the software from http://www.steampowered.com and create a free account. |
Edit: NOT a repost....my mistake. Was an older deal from Dec, this is cheaper and current!

I had just finished writing a thread for this deal, then saw that you just posted it, so I didn't post mine. Did someone else post it before you? Tofu Vic |
So tempted to buy this, but I have so many games on my PC that I don't play already...and I don't think it would play on integrated graphics.

The description to CS:GO seems pretty vague. Is it just like a direct successor to CS:S? So it's just all online teamplay? Or are there new elements?

valve just introduced CSGO workshop today. thats why CS is on sale. the workshop allows players to upload their content (e.g. maps) to steam. this skips the 3rd party map host. if you want a map, just go to workshop and click subscribe and it will be downloaded. if you play portal 2 or TF2 then you know what this workshop is. also L4D2 workshop was introduced recently as well. |

TF2 is way more fun than CSGO and its free. I suggest playing it instead.

Secondly, TF2 is just a much more broad game, there are so many different game types: Capture the flag, cart maps, control point maps, arena etc. Then there is Mann vs machine. And trading... Then there are all kinds of custom game types like MGE, dodge ball, prop hunt etc. |

But they're just different types of games and it's silly to compare them and say one is "better" than the other. They're both fun in their own right. |

Do not buy this game people!!! The security or firewall of CSGO so bad. Hacks release after a day or even couple hours after the server updates. Again I felt bad for those who bought this game. I purchased it on November for this price too. I do not recommend anybody to buy this. The creator of this game does not care about it so barely update the game. It would take a week to release an update but after a couple hours hacks start release like crazy. The day after that the server full of hackers. I hate this :(
