Craftsman Nextec 12V Autohammer or Multitool $9.99 after MIR, Menards B&M
1 Attachment(s)
The Menards sale starting 2/10 includes the Craftsman Nextec autohammer and multitool for $49.99-$40MIR*=$9.99.
These are the full kits, with one lithium ion batt, charger and case. The multi comes with a 30-some piece accessory kit. Limit two rebates/tools per name and address. I own and use them both; the autohammer is useful in a couple scenarios, but is by far the least used of my power tools. The multitool, however, has a million uses. And for $10? The battery alone goes for $24ish at the Sears near me. *Before anyone gets up in arms, yes, Menards MIRs are actually for store credit only. If you shop at Menards with any regularity, this is actually a plus, because you won't be charged sales tax when paying with the store credit. Flame away about how they aren't really rebates. if you go to the Menards site, set your store as the Evansville, IN location, click on weekly ads and pull up the Menards Clearance Sale starting 2/10, it's in there. 12 Volt Craftsman Auto-Hammer [menards.com] 12 Volt Craftsman Multi-Tool [menards.com] |

FYI: Both items ARE listed in-stock online for shipping to customer (not store), BUT rebate specifically states it MUST be a B&M purchase. :-( |

Not seeing the deal you're talking about though. |

My ad shows the "Big Sale" from Feb. 3 through Feb. 17 and does not include any Craftsman tools.
I will keep an eye out fro this, because the battery and accessories on the multi-tool will make it worth it. I do shop at Menards often enough so that the MIR will be used within a month. |

So this is B&M only? Bummer... I'd be willing to deal with some shipping for this deal.
|
So, would I have to purchase this in store for the rebate to work? It says excludes online + sorry slip purchases. Or could I buy it online and pick it up in store.

At least Menards has their stuff on the web now. I can look at stuff online before going to the store.
|
I can verify these two Craftsman items are in the Minneapolis ad too. Menards mails out ads and I got mine today.
|
Just got back from Menards, they were already this price and MIR printed out and sent out. Got both
|
Thanks OP. Got one of each at the Mt. Pleasant, Michigan store. They had lots of the hammers on the shelf but only 2 of the multitool when I grabbed mine. Walked down that aisle again before I left and the last multitool was gone. Hopefully for others they have more to put out.
I usually stop in at Menards a couple times a month but never noticed them starting a sale before the ad date. Anyone know if this is the norm? |
Same in Crestwood, IL
lots of hammers, only 4 multi-tools left.. rebate prints and they have the rebate cards.. |
What is Sears pricematch policy? They have this EXACT same set at the $79.99 price point.

Heck, I want that electric snow blower for $99.00. My local store shows a gas powered one for $399. :sadwalk:
|
Anyone want to pick me up a multi tool ill paypal the money and do the rebate myself and in return I'll get you a future micro center deal :-)
Gotta be honest shipping costs though. |
Menards "rebates" are store credit only. Which defeats the purpose for many people. Sorry to Debbie Downer, but feline aids is a real issue you guys.
|
I picked two of these up from a local Menards today. One for myself and one for a gift.
Not the quality you'd expect from Craftsman tools, but for $10 after rebate... Hard to pass up. I initially flinched at the idea of a cordless oscillating multi-tool, even though it is Lithium Ion, but I find myself using my corded Black & Decker in places where it isn't convenient to run extension cords. Hopefully it has enough power/battery-life to be useful. One immediate gripe about it is that it does not have a quick-change attachment feature. You must use an Allen key (included) to remove/install blades/accessories. Also, all the included accessories have a complete ring of metal at the connection point to the multi-tool. This is difficult to describe without pictures, but what it means is that you must completely remove the Allen screw and retaining washer to install a different blade/accessory. This is inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. Worth it for the money. Most of my big project materials come from Menards, so the rebate in the form of store credit is always welcome. NEVER any issue with receiving rebates in the several years I've been doing Menards rebates. |
TheWellKnown, I like Menards rebates, they roll over to next rebate deal. What you do with your cat, thats only your bizness, not mine.
|
Menards starts setting up the Sunday sale on Saturday evening. It can be a crap shoot on whether they will ring up right but they will correct it if you call them out.
I don't know why people are whining about their website. It now has every item in store and will tell you if it is in stock and is infinitely times more user friendly than Home Depot. Companies put crap like this out there dirt cheap to get you in the door. I'm sure they aren't making a dime on it. |
I have bought into this craftsman battery platform from sears. I own the drill driver, right angle driver, and this multi-tool. The multi-tool is great, much better than the Harbor freight corded version. The biggest difference is sound. You have to wear ear protection with HF versions, this craftsmen version is tolerable. Battery life is ok for most homeowners and it recharges quickly. I find myself using this tool because of the convenience of it cordless. My only complaint is swapping the blades is cumbersome. You have to use the supplied Allen wrench and unscrew the bolt all the way out swap the blade and screw back in and sometimes the screw vibrates loose. They have redesigned this with a quick change for newer models. I suspect that is why the they are offer these at this price. At $10 you will not be disappointed. Hope that helps for those on the fence.

And how's this for karma?
Posted this, saw people were snagging them Friday night but just couldn't get to a Menards till this morning. When the sale was SUPPOSED to start. And they're cleaned out. Any other Saint Paulites, don't bother with the Midway store. Good for everybody who did get them, tho. The multitool in particular is great. |
Thanks and repped op.
|
Picked up one multitool this morning. It was not marked with the usual after rebate price which may be why I could find one. There was another one on the shelf. Picked up two stubby hammers ($1.00 after rebate) and one flashlight (95 cents after rebate). Several hammers and many flashlights still available. At store in Jefferson City, MO.
|
I'll have to check out the multi-tool in a bit, thanks! Hope ours still has some.
|
I just remembered that I got the multitool for $30 and the hammer for $20 on BF. $50 with $40 in store credit is a decent deal as long as you don't waste the store credit on crap.
|
Quite a few left on the shelf at my local Menards. Bought 2 Multi-tools... one for me one for a gift. I don't mind store credit as I'm always getting something from Menards anyway.
|
Picked up 2 Multi sets and 1 auto hammer in the chicago area. 1 I will be giving 1 out as a fathers day gift . Made two seperate purchases since the limit is two for rebate. I always send in multiple rebate reciepts sperate envelopes same address never got denied.
There was only 1 left on the shelf however there are many up on the overhead bins. You just need to know where to look. The boxs I must admit where a little dusty banged up not sure where they stored them but I wouldnt think twice they came form the warehouse just recently. I am always shopping at Menards and getting rebates. In fact my whole purcahse was bought using store credits I had lying around. Never had an issue with them word to the wise though avoid the "Junk" impulse buys. On occasion I am tempted to buy stuff becasue its FAR. I have enough glass and multisurface cleaners to last me a life time. |
Already have the other Nextec tools, this was the last one, $10, great deal. I got the last one at my local store.
I'm saving up my Menards store bucks for a big purchase, maybe a new lawnmower?? |
picked up the last 2 @ the Cottage Grove, MN location. One hammer and one multi. Awesome deal at $10 bucks! Thanks :)
|
Picked up one of each, great deal! Cedar Rapids South location had 10 of each left.
Thanks :) |
Had to go to 2 stores but ended up getting the last one in griffith, in.
|
Went to the Menards in Winona, MN today and picked up both. They had about 5 of each left that I could find. The multi tool was towards the end of all the other multi tools but on the other side and the hammer was one isle over by the circular saws I think.
|
I saw 6 or 7 of the Multi-Tools (bare, no battery or charger) in the Clearance aisle at my local Sears today for $20. The Menards deal is obviously better, but for someone who has no Menards nearby and already has the Nextec batteries/charger, but needs the Multi-Tool, it isn't too bad.

If these tools are out of stock at your menards you can special order them(in store) and pay for them. Then send in the rebate. Menards will notify you by email when they arrive at the store. Be sure to pay for them at the time of the order and during the rebate dates. |
You have to play to win....watch SlickDeals.net frequently!
Fitzejunk rocks!
A true SlickDealer that knows how to work the deal and communicate it to others. Nailed 2 for myself (PUN INTENDED) and pleased the father in-law by letting him know of the deal so he picked up 1 also. The $80 in MIR are no inconvenience...I will invest that back into Menard's easily through the course of a few months (wood pellets, other tools, etc.) IF IT'S NOT A STEAL...IT'S NOT A DEAL. Thanks, Fitzejunk!!! |
The website links no longer work, which sucks for finding it in stock at stores in your area.
|
Are they still running the $50 deal for the drill that works with these (the drill plus hammer screw driver deal)?
|
Went to both in Kzoo, MI and out of stock for both tools :( . I really wanted the multi-tool to almost complete the set, as I have the drill, right angle and autohammer.
I love the Autohammer BTW. It's come in handy so many times. |
Has anyones rebate being acknowledge or received yet? I can't find mine online I send it on 02/11

Weird, sent 4 rebates in same envelope, 3 are showing processing as of yesterday and the 4th, which is of course for the $80 rebate on the autohammer and multitool, is not listed

When followup...I received following: Re: Rebates #3436 & #3412 We have no record of the rebate in question. If you would like to E-Mail or send via US Mail a copy of either your complete original sales or rebate receipt and a copy of this e-mail, to the address below, we will do our best to track your submission. My point simply being, nobody should freak out. Haven't had them cheat me out of a rebate slip yet. |
Have you guys received your rebates? I still havent got mine and it doesnt show on the rebate tracking site either. Funny how always get the little rebates, but the one large one I don't.
|
Yup got mine last week and I mailed it kinda late after purchasing, think I mailed on 2/25. It seems like they do it batch once a week as I mailed 1 on 2/25 that showed issued on 3/18 and a different rebate mailed 2/26 showed issued on 3/25.
|

I haven't got mine either. It showed no entry on the tracking site. I mailed mine on 2/26. I just emailed them.
|
How does menards handle returns or items with rebates? I don't really want these 2 craftsman tools for full price, or the free after rebate saw I bought at the same time.
|
I got mine the other day. I recall that I mailed the rebate on near to the last day.
The rebate is easy to confuse for something else, like an advertisement or something. |

I just looked for it online today. It says, "Issued on 03/26/2013"
Since it was $80, I sent it certified return receipt. Now I have to figure out what I need to buy there. |

After looking through my rebate envelope there are several from February I haven't received. I wonder if they were all in the same envelope when I mailed them. A stud finder, mud pans, boot tray, robo hammer and multi tool. I already have some back that were from a month later. |

Does anyone have the original rebate forms saved somewhere? I'm scouring the web but am coming up empty. |

I only made a copy of the front of the rebate form. I hope this helps. |
I did get my rebates after sending them copies of my original receipts. They didn't ask for copies of the rebate slips. Just the original receipts.
|
