It's usually more expensive then the NV351 model ( see recent $50 FP deal here :

1saleaday is known for slower shipping, you will probably get this within 10 days.

Well if it was new I can see where the price difference comes from, even though these are exactly like new the "refurbished" decreases their value. Also I'm guessing you have full warranty for it.

jaydubya 02-08-2013 10:20 PM

Biggest problem is that in the last purchase, many of the vac's were broken on arrival due to very bad packing. Mine included. . . I'm guessing that at least 25% of shipments came broken. Then 1saleaday says to contact the refurbisher for repair. Refurbisher says they're happy to repair, please ship to them (they do not pay shipping)--you can guess it's expensive to ship a vacuum. Then you can decide if you want to fight 1saleaday for a refund.

Also - Costco doesn't have the Lift-Away version.

Have you tried going through your cc company for a dispute ? Knowing AmEx/Discover customer service, I can't imagine how they wouldn't take care of you.

TysonN 02-08-2013 11:11 PM

In for 1. Great price. It's $178 at walmart and $159 + Shipping on Amazon (no FS available).

Hopefully there will be no issues with the product, but if there is, I will try to get 1SaleADay to refund, if not, I know my CC company will remove the charge.

GREAT PRICE for a VERY HIGHLY REVIEWED vacuum. Hopefully this will replace my wifes desire for a Dyson.

Irons82 02-09-2013 12:32 AM

Got one, thanks!

nnbadboy 02-09-2013 01:25 AM

Does anyone know if this come with the swifter attachment? it says dusting brush but that doesnt sound like the tool.

reir 02-09-2013 02:01 AM

Bought this over a year ago for about $150. This is the best vacuum I've ever owned/used, including Dysons. I've had zero problems with it and was well worth the price we paid, jump on this if you need a new vacuum.

krmpradeep 02-09-2013 02:05 AM

Is this good for laminate floors? My home is entirely "laminate floor"ed and I would like to know if anyone has used this Shark on their laminate floor.

I'd rather have a new one from costco with a lifetime warranty for $99 than a refurb for $55 and a 30 day warranty.

I'd stick with this (Costco) one, unless you barely use it, then go for this one.

yawn505 02-09-2013 02:38 AM

I bought this the last time it was on SlickDeals... This is a GREAT vacuum with awesome suction. My house is 80% hardwood floors and 20% carpet. This works great on both... there's a switch right on the handle to turn off the rollers on the hardwood. I would recommend this vac to just about anyone.

DealGypsy 02-09-2013 02:39 AM

Have my dyson but so cheap want to try it!

My house is mostly hardwood floors and this works great on them! There's a switch right on the handle for changing from carpet to hardwood floors... the switch turns off the rollers so that the vac actually picks up on hardwood rather than just spraying it around as so many other vacs do.

DealGypsy 02-09-2013 02:41 AM

As for the refurbs, never had a problem with them, my dyson is a refurb and so is this... No worries.

Yup, I can confirm it's a different model. I bought the one from Costco but decided to return it. It sucks really well but the hose kept coming off. It doesn't stick really well to the connector. I'm happier with the hoover because the hose has a grip/snap.

I'm really interested in getting this, but reading the previous 14 page thread on a Refurb Shark vac from 1SAD showed a lot of SD'ers were receiving broken vacs in the package.

yurmaster 02-09-2013 05:01 AM

What's the difference between this model and the one from last time?
I got one of those and it's a really decent vacuum for the money ang I generally hate bagless vacs but that one is easy to empty.

tiggersbowl1 02-09-2013 06:09 AM

I know you think it'd be in their best interest to pack it better. Avoid all the headaches.

Bought the NV351 last time from 1SAD and arrived fine though packed loose, only a few scratches. In for 2 this time, 1 for my downstairs and 1 as gift. Crossing my fingers they pack better and/or they arrive safe.

When parts are broken I can replace myself, usually just call the manufacturer and they ship out a replacement part no questions asked and at no cost. Hopefully Shark/Euro-Pro does that, if needed.

I bought this last time and there was a lot more listed on the description page. PDF attached.Attachment 1777792 The only thing on the list it did not come with was the 24" crevice tool.

As you might be able to see from the attachment, last time it also showed a 90 day warranty. One reason I decided to go ahead and buy.

I received mine last Monday. So nearly two weeks to get here but I hear that is expected or quick from 1saleaday. I was worried about getting refurbished as I have not had good luck with this in the past, but the one I received (luckily) looked brand new.

wallingj 02-09-2013 06:32 AM

It doesn't look like it comes with the Bare Floor Attachment. However the screenshot that nrc17gto posted shows a shipping weight of 16 lbs, but todays deal shows a weight of 22.4 lbs. Either they are improving the packaging by 4.4 lbs or they are including items not listed. Worst case scenario they are including 4.4 lbs of the previous owners dirt.

Either way I'm in for 1. I haven't had any issues with 1saleaday.

Also I am using this to more than likely replace my refurb Dyson DC07 purchased in 2008 from w00t. It still works fine, but it's a beast to move around weight-wise.

redtomato 02-09-2013 06:41 AM

NV351 vs NV355

I got NV351 from the last deal at 1saleday around 3-4 weeks ago.

I searched and searched, but couldn't find any info on difference between NV351 and this model NV355.

TIA.

Very slick deal when you account for the savings on the vacuum and the money saved by not having to buy flowers for Valentine's Day. For those of us who are married though, the divorce attorney fees kill the deal.

Seriously though, I own this vacuum and I'm very pleased with it. I actually bought this exact model after my Dyson broke. I loved the Dyson but I couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money for something that only lasted me a year and half.

jisc0 02-09-2013 06:46 AM

I ordered one from the last sale and it came to me broken. They accepted my return, but didn't give me any form of shipping label to send it back to them so I sent them another email and they finally gave me one. With that said, I'm tempted to try it again, but not sure if it's worth the risk.

How does this vacuum compare to reconditioned HOOVER UH70400RM that was FP for $55 a month or so ago?

Jinru 02-09-2013 07:27 AM

Here's the difference between the previous Shark vac from 1SAD and this Pro version. The only difference between the NV355 and NV356E is that the NV355 was only developed for Walmart and they've probably cut some corners to make it slightly cheaper.

I got the N351 I think. Any how mine to came with a broken part. It was the clip on the swivel hose. So far its ok and worst case I can just glue it all down. But yes it would not make sense to mail a $50 vac. It would probably cost $25 or so. I think its worth the risk.

Well it's unfortunate 1SAD track record isn't spotless...and given their unique business model, there will be some unfortunate deliveries. Thing is with SDers, if they get a defective product ONCE from them, you'll hear about it in every thread. I been dealing with 1SAD since their beginning days and while they are slow to ship (which they alert you to) the products always arrive. I got a logitech wireless keyboard/mouse set. The actually packaging from logitech look like the warehouse factory dragged it across the asphalt. yea it had black stuff all over it. But the keyboard and contents were like new. Still in use to this day. While back they advertised some Sandisk 16gb microSDHC cards that turn out to be a no-name brand. They gave out free promo codes for the cost to everyone who ask. I ordered this vacuum...hope im a lucky one or those involved learned from the last Shark shipments.

smed1065 02-10-2013 01:03 AM

Just FYI. I bought one of these for $60 and saw the concern about the wheels being made onto bottom unit. No wear yet on them.

This is well worth it.

If the wheels would fall off tomorrow-I would buy another one.
Great vacuum. I have had mine for over 8 months and its still like new. I use it twice a week minimum because it makes 10 years old carpets stand up again.

Only down-side is the GF did not like my jokes about it. :)

That and it does need emptying about once per 2 rooms but no bags, no vacuum smell when using.

DealGypsy 02-10-2013 05:17 AM

Woo hooo can't wait to get mine....

Jinru 02-10-2013 02:44 PM

It would be nice if everyone who has made a purchase on this thread does a follow up in a couple weeks to see how their vacuum holds up. I know all the 'broken on arrivals' will speak up...

jcburkha 02-10-2013 03:13 PM

FROM ANOTHER THREAD: I ordered mine on Jan.22 and I got the Pro version. I was reading about the problems you all are having. Guess what? I have the same problem. I bought 2 Shark NV35526B vacuums. One of them was fine--the other had a broken motorized floor brush. It was in two pieces except for 2 little wires holding it together. I emailed 1sad and got the same email that some of you got. Then, I found a paper in the box with warranty repair information on it. I called the number 562-946-3531 pushed 3 on ext. I left a message on the machine and then I pushed 0 and talked to an operator. I didn't get much help there. Next, I went to www.ConsumerServiceRefurbish.com and filled out a form. The next day I did it all over again. Finally, somebody called me back and said they would see what they could do. That was two days ago. I still haven't heard anything so I called back and talked to the operator. She said that it was real busy with thousands of calls a day but she would look into it. My next step is to open a dispute with paypal and stop payment on my credit card if I don't get satisfaction.

update: Nothing else has changed. I still haven't heard back from anybody as of 2/10/2013. To be fair, it is the weekend. I call them every day and l also leaf them a message online. Only one other time I had a problem with 1sad and they took care of me. We will see what happens here. So far it doesn't look good as seen below:

Anyone get a shipping notification yet? Mine still says processing from Feb.9...but I know 1SAD is slow. They mean it when they say your order will ship in 7-10 days from the time you placed it.

Mine still says processing too. Ordered it 2/9 and it is 2/16 now. My woman is super anxious and asks me about it every day.

majavic 02-16-2013 11:12 AM

Mine's still showing as processing too. At what point do I start getting concerned? I'm not sure I'll be doing business with this website again.

You knew this going in, everyone in the thread warned about slow shipping. We're still not even to the 10 business days yet.

Adam101 02-18-2013 02:35 AM

yep yep when I ordered some of the HDMI cable deals from here before it took 3 weeks from purchase for them to show up at my door...... Im BEYOND NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT worried about the slow shipping time.

Jinru 02-18-2013 05:00 AM

When does the warranty kick in? When order is placed, when it begins shipping, or when it arrives at the door?

DealGypsy 02-19-2013 06:28 AM

Stop worrying it will ship weeks end or next week.

ohmichea 02-19-2013 09:01 AM

Mine still says processing but I just got a ups email that it will be delivered tomorrow

It looks like they are sending them out today. I live in FL and I am assuming that is where they are coming from so that must be why it is so quick.

I just got mine. It looks brand new to me and I can't find anything wrong with it. :bounce:

I took a pic to show what it came with. There was also filters (not shown). It came with the floor duster attachment which I didn't think it did. So far so good!

I am sure it will wish I would have bought 2 more for my son and x husband.

DealGypsy 02-21-2013 10:01 AM

Used it all day today, now I don't know what to do with my unopened Neato vx-12

player911 02-21-2013 05:16 PM

Got mine today and the base is snapped in half. Completely unusable. The only thing keeping the handle to the base is 2 wires.

@!%$&#?

Seriously!

My gf was SOOOO excited all week. She hasn't vacuumed for a few days just to test it out.

Shipping it back will probably cost as much as I paid.

smallzjohnson 02-21-2013 07:12 PM

got mine in today and looks brand new. vacuumed part of the house to give it a test and it passed. the packaging could have been better for shipping. i can see how it is delivered with broken parts. a few drops and the plastic would break while in the packaging. guess i was a lucky one. wish i would have gambled on 2 instead of 1.

majavic 02-21-2013 07:56 PM

I got mine today. Oh boy I can't wait to try out my new vacuum, finally something to combat the pet hair annnnnnnnnnnnd it's broken.

*sigh*

I wish I ordered a few too!

leecm 02-21-2013 08:22 PM

Just got home and opened mine, I didn't think the packaging was that bad. I mean, if it was encased in polystyrene, it would have been better protected, but it seemed ok. Evidently the packaging isn't completely sufficient, because people have reported things being broken. Sorry to hear about that, BTW.

Anyways, luckily, mine looks brand new, and it all went together. I haven't used it yet to verify that it works. It also came with the hardwood floor attachment, which makes me happy.

All things considered, AWESOME deal.

player911 02-21-2013 08:45 PM

Mine was so beat up, the metal stick has several dents in it.

Oh well. Now we fight with 1saleaday. I've heard horror stories. Hope they pay for shipping.

DealGypsy 02-22-2013 04:37 AM

I have to say how amazed diamide how well this vacuum works, I did so my Dyson and it works great no complaints but this is even much easier and cleans more thoroughly. I am so happy I got a good one.

sticky 02-22-2013 09:09 AM

Mine came today, perfect condition, looks like Brand New.

Whooo Hooo!

leemaverickly 02-22-2013 10:03 AM

hmm, mine came today and it looks brandnew. original packing and box and everything. The manual is even sealed. Guess I am lucky.

leemaverickly 02-22-2013 10:40 AM

folks don't forget to put the two filters in. And I thought item i pet power brush on page 6 of the manual is missing but it turns out to be at the bottom of the box.

yurmaster 02-22-2013 11:56 AM

Mine came about 30 minutes ago. It was a snap...literally, to assemble. In perfect, new condition. Works great. The bare floor attachment is OK too. But the pet hair hand held turbo brush thing is a silly gimmick. I don't care, the regular hand tool and crevice tool get the job done just fine. This was a steal at$55. I got another of the purple lift away models and the vacuum steam thing coming still too. I bought three of these and a steamer floor vacuum for less then half of a queer ass Dyson.

Have to say too that it was packaged much better then the purple model I got 2-3 weeks ago.wrapped in bubble wrap and several air bags in this one. I don't get what,if anything was refurbed on it.

DealGypsy 02-22-2013 04:08 PM

Glad it's working out for most people!

Gizmole 02-22-2013 04:34 PM

Got mine. Looks brand new and nothing broken. Seemed to be packed well enough to me. Used it a little while ago and can say this thing really sucks. :)

Adam101 02-23-2013 05:07 AM

I can see where it could be easily broken, especially if its dropped upright from say waist height, as the vacuum was well padded top and sides but just was setting upright on the bottom of the box( nothing under the vac but cardboard). Mine arrived in Great shape still Yay thanks OP

ileorin 02-23-2013 07:40 AM

For those who got broken ones, where was it broken?

I had an older Shark Cordless Sweeper and it worked great and lasted for years, but is now on it's last legs. Since, this was cheaper than a sweeper, I went with this, but this is huge and heavier than I thought.

Thanks for the heads up on the filters. I, for one, probably would have started using the vacuum without putting them in. lol

Repped

After some use you will need to clean those filters . Manual says 3 months I think. But realistically way sooner. Really it's just the top foam one that gets dirty. I cleaned mine in the sink with a little dish soap, soaked it and squeezed it a few times then rinsed it. Make sure it dries completely...like overnight . Good as new after that.:woot:

granmanh 02-24-2013 07:20 AM

Mine came , packed excellently with lots of wrapping and air pack, like new.. AMAZING thanks so much for posting this deal... I had no problem with shipping...the site said 7 to 10days and close enough for me and arrived UPS too shortly after shipped. I order around the same time from Kohls and it too just as long if not longer and crappy packing.

Mine was broke where the base meets the body. First sign it was broken is that it wouldn't stand up on its own very well, but when plastic pieces and springs started falling out of the joint where it swivels, I knew I had a lemon.

I feel really unlucky now that I see so many people have a like-new model with no problems.

Adam101 02-26-2013 02:35 PM

So how does this 30 day warranty work?...... Is it through SHARK or someplace else. I haven't even tried this vacuum yet ( as I don't need it quite yet). However, I then thought I should prob use this thing a lot so if it breaks after 10 min I know now as opposed to a few months from now. Any ideas?

Jinru 02-27-2013 11:56 AM

Just received mine and took it for a test run. Works GREAT! However, the steel pipe on the extension wand has a significant dent and I'm worried that might hinder its performance. Also, the larger of the two filters was used and fairly dirty out the box. Other than those 2 issues I'm happy with it.
