You can never. Have too many batteries

eugeneyurek 02-11-2013 10:23 AM

This isn't even close to a deal. My local Shoprite supermarkets, last week had 30 packs of AA and AAA Rayovac alkalines on sale for $5.99. And they run this sale every month or two.

The Rayovacs last just as long as the duracells for a lot less cost.

New_World 02-11-2013 10:46 AM

these are the best batteries in existence.

SDaholic 02-11-2013 11:14 AM

i like the coupon code =)

ipxtreme 02-11-2013 11:51 AM

REPPD. In for 2!

bee46 02-11-2013 01:00 PM

Would have to agree that this isn't a good deal, but did rep for the effort as it's easy to complain but takes effort to post a deal.

An example of a good deal imo, Lowes house brand, 30-Pack AA Alkaline Batteries for $4 in Dec.

An example of a battery to avoid, CVS's house brand. Leaks on average more than any other battery I have ever used.

kickstand1 02-11-2013 01:06 PM

great deal for me. got some for the grand-kiddies!

tua15740 02-11-2013 01:10 PM

thx op + coupon. U ROCklee

HR1 02-11-2013 01:43 PM

NOTE: Coupon Code appears to be Caps-Sensitive.

"2BuckWoot" works, "2buckwoot" does not, for me.

YMMV :)

ssaoi 02-11-2013 01:58 PM

These are HORRIBLE batteries.

They last maybe a day or two in my xbox controller and maybe a few weeks in the remote. Go look at woot blogs about the batteries and see. Cheap is one thing, but these batteries are just awful.

smithmal 02-11-2013 02:00 PM

Here's how Fuji stacks up with the "big boys":

I doubt these have any affiliation with Fuji Film. These are probably crap.

I wouldn't trust cnet to rate anything ever again http://news.yahoo.com/trust-cnet-...34265.html

somaconnect 02-11-2013 03:29 PM

These are not the same batteries as the cnet article. No idea on quality though

Oh come on, you can't hold that against them. It sounds like they are fairly honest considering they are owned by CBS. Surely you know that CBS has the right to be completely biased and unethical, just like the majority of the main stream media.

If you live near a "Dollar General" store they sell 4-6 pack AA's for $1 (They sell everything for $1). Good batteries too.

eugeneyurek 02-11-2013 06:23 PM

Um? Dollar General most certainly does NOT sell everything for $1. Have you ever been there? Prices range from $1 to sometimes $10 or more. Dollar General is most certainly not a "dollar store".

Dollar stores like Dollar Tree sell everything for $1 but not all of it is overly good stuff either.

AFAIC, you should never pay more than 18-20 cents per AA or AAA alkaline. Thats usually what you can get them on sale for though rarely if ever Duracells or Energizers. As I'd said, Rayovacs are just as good and usually highly discounted. Once in a while I see panasonics and/or kodac's on sale and these seem to be pretty good batteries too. And yeah, some store brands are pretty good too but you need to do your homework before you plunk down your money.

Places like Costco and BJ's have their own store brands and these tend to be cheap all the time and usually really good too.

Chaminda 02-11-2013 07:37 PM

It's just 9.99. I bought a one too. Will see how's the quality.

I purchased Maxell AA in the past, with very good results.
