Did you have to place separate orders? I tried adding 2 but I could only get $5 off, not $5 per cable.

Just curious really. :)

burticus 02-11-2013 12:35 PM

I bought one of these from Meritline but it was 16'. It does work (and I am currently using it) but the wire is very thin. Just sayin'. For $5 you get what you pay for.

Wish I could find a 50' then I could run my computer off my living room TV....

chong67 02-11-2013 12:37 PM

Dont need it but just in case, so got one.

I really want 4K everything to be here.

Boss 02-11-2013 12:37 PM

Is there no signal degradation after a certain length?

mig0 02-11-2013 12:39 PM

Thanks for posting this. Needed a long hdmi cable.

Was going to buy 5! Unfortunately, the discount only gives you $5 off a single item, not 50% off. Oh, well! Can't have something for nothing! Heh. (Ah, repeat of Coraphise)

There definitely is. Just don't remember the numbers. My guess is 50 ft. This is where the kind of brands can actually matter.

Greg007 02-11-2013 12:45 PM

Looking smaller HDMI cable like 6 -10 feet..

Think of 25 feet as the magic barrier. You could go longer than that but you'd need to confirm that all of your devices will work with standard speed HDMI cables in order to view 1080p content without concerns.

nice why noT!

GuySakar 02-11-2013 12:50 PM

I *was under the impression that HDMI was digital thus there is no signal degradation. Like either the receiver gets the signal or it doesn't; pass or fail.

Plus, not sure if it was this brand, but we have bought several of the cheap 25' HDMI's off of amazon and all have quit working with a little normal use.

* Anyway, found this http://www.bluejeanscable.com/art...mi-run.htm

I bought one of these cheap $5 25-foot cables from Meritline about a year ago. There is definitely signal degradation - occasionally the audio fades in and out, and the TV takes 5-7 seconds longer to receive video from the cable box via HDMI after turning on the TV.

ik_ 02-11-2013 12:52 PM

Thx needed another one +1

okinawanmatt 02-11-2013 12:53 PM

FYI - a couple of people are reporting issues with this brand. Loss of connectivity, loss of handshake/authentication, etc. If you have Amazon Prime, you can buy 25' HDMI cables for $7-9 and they will honor replacements/refunds ASAP.

vttym 02-11-2013 12:55 PM

Code didn't work for me.

darkonex 02-11-2013 12:55 PM

Coupon doesn't work, says expired :(

dealworld 02-11-2013 12:57 PM

Coupon DEAD

samsen 02-11-2013 12:58 PM

Meritline is full of tricks. Be careful all.
I apply coupon and shows discount, then in check out with out my knowledge price comes back to regular...
Then there is a fine print; Coupon used.

Quality is very variable and at times terrible.
Considering the long length of this cable, you should be lucky if at all it sends the signal to TV etc.
Wish you luck.

Also Previously every time I write something good about their products in Review section, that stays but once I write something that describes a bad product, they remove the review. What kind of Review fairness is this?

I say No to Meritline. Period.

buddybd 02-11-2013 01:00 PM

Says expired. Damn it I needed 2 :(

Watch out.
Limit is one.
You don't get a notice but price will be normal for the second item.
Make sure you don't over pay these greedy guys.

I can't speak for this cable specifically, but I use an 85' cable (well a 50' connected to a 35') that I split from my PS3 to my room upstairs with no problems. So I would think that a 25' cable should typically work just fine.

made two separate orders...thanks!

clinteastwood 02-12-2013 06:39 AM

I guess the cable is pretty thin compared to others, but unless you're going to be reconnecting and connecting and dragging it around all the time, I don't think it matters, and with a 25' cable, I doubt you're taking it with you all the time.
