Got one of the keyboards for $15 when staples clearanced them out a year ago. This is a really well built keyboard and the keys have a great feel to them, better than most laptops.

I'm familiar with bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse, each separately.

But how do they both sync BT to a comp simultaneously?

Thanks in advance

Bluetooth allows multiple devices to be connected simultaneously, and keyboards and mice use a very small amount of bandwidth compared to say a bluetooth headset.

First of all, I was just thinking about getting this keyboard and lo and behold I find it on slickdeals cheaper than I would have gotten it otherwise. Thanks!

I've heard some people have problems having a bluetooth keyboard and mouse paired at the same time and others say they've never had a problem. Sometimes, for example, the keyboard will repeat key/s that you pressed. Say you typed "A" and instead a string of "AAAAAAAAAAAAA" is typed. I personally haven't seen this happen but I've heard that pairing and re-pairing might help or pairing the keyboard first then the mouse. I've heard some recommend using a BT keyboard with a built-in track pad instead. Personally I can't stand those things.

I think they user standard HID bluetooth protocol and they should work.

Confirmed working with pc ,

http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...?t=1118225

and should also work with PS3, iphone , ipad.... ( to be confirmed)

I'm pretty sure you have to have a jail broken iPad with the Cydia mouse app for that to work. I haven't played with it much, but it was kind of cool using a mouse with the iPad. It's invaluable if you want to try and use Citrix to run a virtual Windows desktop or something like that. (Note: I used a different bluetooth mouse when I did it ... not the one from the deal, although I'm sure it would work the same way.)

yourameh 02-11-2013 10:50 PM

any chance someone knows how this keyboard compares to the apple bt keyboard? I have the apple one and I've never felt a keyboard that is more comfortable to type on with better tactile feedback than this one (personal preference, but I'm not alone). Unfortunately the colors of the keyboard doesn't match the rest of my computer at all...

You have to jailbreak to be able to use a mouse with an iPad. I'm not sure how useful it is in that case, though.

svgwpb 02-12-2013 05:36 AM

got one thanks op :) was looking for one deal like this one.

rockstarrichg 02-12-2013 05:37 AM

I've owned this for about a year, works well with Droid X2 on Android 2.3.5. Only complaint is it won't stay paired after you power cycle the kb/mouse, so you have to do it manually. Still, works great once paired.

Tonggi 02-12-2013 06:23 AM

very nice!

Rebate Addict 02-12-2013 06:39 AM

Does anyone know if this will work on my original Droid phone without any modifications? Apparently to use my HP Touchpad bluetooth keyboard, I have to have superuser rights, which means a custom ROM on my phone, which I do not have.

matchnbpm 02-12-2013 06:56 AM

Use can also use the promo code 'moto1' for a dollar off

It should, but I honestly would've expected the HP Touchpad KB to work fine too since it's just a bluetooth keyboard, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

I have the version with the trackpad, and it's nice. I can't comment on an apple one, but am happy with it. The main thing if you're using it on a non-Android device is to keep in mind the different keys. For Windows, it works pretty well, the menu key replaces the windows key, and the others are just extra. I'm not sure if the mac/ios keyboard has a replacement for the win key.

poormanq45 02-12-2013 07:10 AM

We have one of the motorola bluetooth keyboards with the built in trackpad that it intended for Android devices.

Pairing them works instantly. Actually getting them to work on any device hasn't worked.

The apple keyboard doesn't convert 100% either. The frikin idiots made a beautiful keyboard but put the damn Ctrl button one spot over in the wrong place. The eject button is also read as the same button as F12 so both of them are DEL for me. Aside from that, it's a 100% transfer and I've remapped the nearly worthless F buttons to the designated tasks printed on the keyboard.

Sadly, the misplaced Ctrl button is reason enough for me to search for an alternative. Unfortunately since using this keyboard, I can solidly say that I've never typed on anything quite like it. The button throw is perfect. The click of the keys are absolutely perfect. The key spacing and edge distinction is absolutely astonishingly perfect. This is all just my opinion, but I consider myself extremely critical and this keyboard is a work of art to me.

Coupled with the Dell Bluetooth dongle that requires no software or drivers and works in DOS, you completely forget that the keyboard is wireless. The batteries last for at least 6 months for me and I cannot distinguish any lag time even in really hard gaming.

It's just the godforsaken Ctrl button. It had to be something.

Well, it's a slight improvement from their prior review which had 5 stars and "A+++++++++++++++ WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN!"

I know being ripped off isn't all that funny, but reading through some of those reviews is nothing but comedy. People are actually expecting designer name stuff for garage sale prices. Swarovski crystals for $3.99, free shipping? Seems legit to me!

I purchased a similar deal with these Motorola bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I have used them successfully with my Nexus 7. HOWEVER, when I try to pair the keyboard to my PS3 it seems to force to enter its own PIN and won't allow me to enter the correct PIN to pair it.

khanis 02-12-2013 02:37 PM

FINALLY! Thank you! This is a pretty hot deal, IMO. The keyboard itself goes for about 25-30 bucks, and that mouse is probably at least worth $10-$15. Should go nicely with the Touchpad.

DO NOT order from Shnoop.com! I ordered the Delta showerhead from them back in December. It never arrived. When I contacted the site's customer service, they had me fill out an affidavit saying I hadn't received it and then I never heard back from them. I had to contact my credit card company to have them reverse the charges. It wasn't until then that Shnoop responded.
