Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" NEW $299 Staples free ship to store/in-store

1 Attachment(s)
Staples has Samsung Tab 2 10.1's on sale for $299 with free ship to store. My local store had a few in stock. Cheapest price search I could find for new ones on price search was $337. Expires 2/16

I mainly picked one up for the IR blaster, so I could also have a huge universal remote for the entertainment center. It works great. Better than the old Harmony.

Not too bad but need to pay tax. Tab 3 is coming out very soon.

Anyone know how this compares to an iPad4? I see it is much cheaper and has an sd slot and can do flash etc..

One thing that I might need to know is can this play apps from the iTunes store that were meant for iPad?

This thing had outdated specs when it was first released, now it just seems archaic.
asus tf300 much better tablet and can be had for same price or lower.

If you want to use as a remote why not get the 7 inch version for $180 or less? Much easier to hold as a remote.

Thanks for the input! No, I don't need or want remote functions have a Logitech for that. I have away to get a new one for $199.99 and I thought at that price it might be an iPad 4 competitor worth using.

The Asus IS a better machine. Can it play iTunes iPad apps?

Android Tablet not Compatible with iPad apps

No, it cannot, the Galaxy Tab is an Android based tablet, and only runs apps designed for Android, not iOS.

Thanks! I guess that is where the iPad will always win! They have a SLEW of companies developing quality apps for them! Too bad since their products are pricey and I'm not really a fan of Apple. My wife LOVES them though and the tablet IS for her so....:(

Got one for about $200, after using my Rewards.

Thats a great price, for a 10" fully supported Tab.

Thanks for the heads up, OP.

Most newer tablets can play AVCHD, but this one can't:

this price looks more resonable for this samsung tab. display quality is very nice but disappointed overall at the price it started.

Good question. My eyes are pretty bad, so I decided on the 10" over the 7". I enjoy reading the news while watching TV, hence why I got an S3 instead of another iPhone. Yet it still seems too small. Maybe I need an eye exam!

If you want to sync your Itunes music library tho, look into an app on GooglePlay called iSyncr

Thanks, that is helpful if she decides to go with something besides an iPad!

Seems not to show on sale now. When I posted this it said until 2/16. You may be able to argue the price.

granada06 02-14-2013 09:16 PM

I just tried to use the $75 off coupon and was turned down. It is for $299 at my local Staple.

latetourtrash 02-15-2013 12:49 PM

I picked one up this morning at my local Staples. Price tag was $339 but rang up at the register for $299+ tax. Website still had it for $399. Seems like a decent deal.

Droid has a slew of companies producing quality aps as well. my wife has an iPad and I have a galaxy note to and I that as a owner of a Windows based network in our home which connects all of our multimedia devices like the TV and the sound system and the home network storage then droid is a much better system then the Apple based iPad based a system. Is most cases the ass for my system are limited on the iPad and much more robust with Android. It seems to me that if you are fully Apple at your home go with iPad. But if your windows days I think going apple handcuffs you deliberately and by design the Apple ecosystem.

Just bought one from Staples store (Rolling Meadows, IL), for 299. Instore price was 299, but out of stock. The store manager was able to order online (online price 349) , but gave me the same price and shipped it to home.. The refurbished at Walmart is going for 259.

Grab it, if you are in the market.

vtc268 02-18-2013 03:48 PM

dammit I got excited for a sec and then realized this was the tab and not the note
