Nice find! That's essentially getting the 40-150 free, given current prices for body + 14-42.

looks like you can also get the lens bundle for a buck with the cameras. the lens bundles adds Pro Optic 58mm MC UV Filter, Lens Cap Leash, Professional Lens Cleaning Kit to the lens.

good price. but, i already have the oly 14-150 for my pl1. i'll wait for the pm2 refurbs. don't know if i could dump these two lenses to make it feasible.

MrScientist 02-12-2013 09:11 AM

this bundle deal will also work with the pm2 body only item (http://www.adorama.com/IOMEPM2WH.html) = $450 for body and 40-150.

I bought the e-pm2 a few weeks ago. It's a great camera, I'm very happy with it. I would also recommend getting the panasonic 20mm f1.4 lens for it, it's a definite must have and the lens that spends most time on my camera.

The 14-42mm and 40-150mm will give you a good range starting out. I personally would sell the 40-150mm and put it towards the Olympus 14-150mm. It runs for $600 new but cameta has factory refurbished ones for $320 (so far I've only had good experiences with their factory refurb products). This way you don't have to carry 2 lenses around for a trip to the zoo etc.

If you are torn between the e-pm2 and e-pl5 I would recommend trying out both cameras in person before making a decision. Some people, me included, find the e-pl5 a little awkward to handle due to the extra protruding bulge of the hinged display. Others swear by it and recommend spending the extra $100.

Anyway, good find. Prices will likely come down more as time goes by but for the current market this is a great price.

Does the E-PM2 have the same wonky/jittery video output as the E-PM1?

i assume you mean the panny 20mm f1.8 (unless they released an even awesomer lens!). i agree with you on the 14-150, it's a great lens. my panny 20mm is my "indoor" lens and my 14-150 is my "outdoor" lens.

Gigamaster89 02-12-2013 10:36 AM

Great deal!

Haha, seems we're both off our game today. I meant the panasonic 20mm f1.7 LOL

I have never seen the video output on the e-pm1 but I haven't noticed any problems with video output quality on the e-pm2

No comparison. PM2 has a much better sensor (same as PL5 and OM-D) that is capable of producing better results, specially at high ISO.

reddevildan 02-14-2013 08:01 AM

How is the e-pl5 vs GX1??? GX1 is selling over $100 less

ha!

1.4, 1.7, 1.8, what does it matter as long as it's under 2, right?
