It was shown as available in Westborough, MA target store but when i reached there it was OOS by then. I then went to Walmart and got it price matched. Final price after taxes - $ 317

Employee tried to pretend they didn't have any more, but when they opened the case, the spine had a 2020 on it, which was the end of the DPCI number for the 16GB black iPad3. I told them there was one right there, pointing to the only one in the whole case. They reluctantly sold it to me.

I called 3 times today ^_^. The drama in this thread is too comical. If the employee hordes the deal by a phone call then it's no different then first guy going on-site. The employee will do the same. Just getting heated over $100 discount is already stupid enough. Glad I called and did not get my butt out in the cold ass winter.

I checked - one store has them by me. I called the store, they said they had none and the system hasn't been updated yet. I then called BB, gave them my zipcode, showed it was in stock nearby, and got them to price match! And used my reward certificates from all those dang surveys!

The hype got people's brains controlled with the robotic hype that they created over the years and every one knows that. $299 should have been the regular price of the iPad 3 at Apple's website - but where is the iPad 3 at Apple? Its not even listed in their website. Its iPad mini - iPad 2 and iPad 4 - skipped right through iPad 3... Can you see why? It was plain to see that iPad 3 is basically the same as the iPad 4 minus some small differences - hence them removing it from their website and keeping the iPad 2 instead so people when they go head and shop for iPads will feel see the big difference between the iPad 2 and the iPad 4 since the differences are pretty notable. Im no an Apple hater - I spell Apple's name and iPads the way it should be instead of lowering the P to p with a purpose of degrading it - not at all - I think they make nice looking products - but their prices are definitely not the best bang for your buck. This coming from a person owned and used iPod{touch models only} and iPhones who never paid full prices for them. Just came back from Target. Rep told me that this deal is for iPad 3 and its discontinued one. thats why they are selling it out On Sale.
Basically Apple has iPad 2 and then iPad 4 in place( You can find them in Apple website). you cant find iPad 3 (iPad 3rd generation as in this post) |

We've got the Nexus 7 32GB ($205) and iPad 3 ($330). iPad 3 is IMO better than any Android 9-10" tablet on the market because of the optimized apps that fit the screen. We've had no issues with heat, or stutter with the iPad 3. The kids prefer the iPad b/c of the apps. I prefer the N7 b/c of the size and processing power. Every game on both tablets plays flawless. No issues with either. Battery power is awesome on both. Build quality is a bit thin on the N7, so get a good case and be careful with it. iPad 3 feels more substantial, but it's just too big of a device to hold - better on a table. If Apple ever decided to do an iPad Mini 2 with Retina at $249, they'd own the market. But it won't happen, which leaves the door wide open for Android.
This deal at $299 plus tax, less 5% Target Card is as good as it gets if you want a large tablet. Jump on this. There is no issue with heat or GPU/CPU. |
