How many fans have folks purchased?

They have had rebate opportunities for 18 FAR Kingwin Case Fans since January 30th.

I also got 1 FAR Case Fan from the Kingwin Newegg Deal ($0.20 MM).

So 19 Total Case Fans... and more on the horizon. :omg:

The rebate TD-8440 (the limit 1 fan) isn't showing up on 4myrebate...is this normal? Maybe they withdrew this one?

Any way to get free shipping? That shoprunner deal with newegg blows this away IMO... I mean, considering I don't need the fan in the first place.

Agreed about the Newegg deal. Since I don't really need the fan, I am not willing to pay for S&H. It is a good deal though for those that are looking for fans.

Unfortunately, there's no way to get Free Shipping unless you are an Inner Circle member. There are no active free shipping promos running right now either.

Best you could do would be to wait and see if they drop the price again on the CF-12LB Fan to $5.99 or $6.99 and that the rebate overage would partially cover shipping.

I believe someone said that TigerDirect retail stores are selling the CF-12LB fan for $5.99 in-store as of yesterday. So, if you have a retail store, that's an option, although you would have to pay tax.

If you don't need the fans or have Inner Circle, there's no reason to buy them.

It works out to be under $1 per fan factoring in cashback opportunities and postage.

That definitely kills the deal. Most of us don't need those fans unless they're completely free AR. Thanks anyway.

Awww, the rebate ended up being for only 1.

I was using urlhasbeenblocked for the cashback options over the last couple of months but just found out that they havent been issuing me cashback for any of my FAR purchsaes.

Is there some other website you could suggest ? TIA !

Who? I haven't had any problems.

None of the cashback websites that I've used have any carve-outs/exclusions for FAR items (some pay a lower rate for the Daily Deal Slasher but all pay some rate) so you've probably run into some other glitch....perhaps involving your browsing session or cookies. Check with the cashback website to find out whether the purchases didn't track at all or were rejected for some reason (I wouldn't mention to them that the items were FAR -- they have no way of knowing these were rebate items and it may just give them an easy excuse to blame the situation on that). I find that Mr. R generally pays the highest rate for Tiger.

I did submit a request for them asking them to credit me for cashback for all the 5 transactions that showed payable amount as 0 $ but i havent heard back from them in 4 days now.

that is a good point ! I wonder if the cashback was being cut out for these being deal slasher purchases.. (most of my purchases are FAR transactions which are often deal slasher items.)

Also reset all the browser settings and cleared cache and previous history for chrome. the problem is, even though i get the transaction notification, the payout amount after 2 months or so shows as payable amount as 0 $. That means i dont have any good way of checking what cash back i would 'actually' get 2 months down the line..

I was going to suggest making sure ad blockers are disabled but it seems like a different issue since they get reported as $0. Might want to give one of the other sites a try. Mr. R, FW, and EBs have all worked at TD for me, including on FAR items.

I've had mixed results with top cash back. Most of my transactions have tracked properly but a few haven't and they're a pain to deal with when things go wrong. Slow to respond and they won't credit missing cashback on an early basis (the way other websites do, like e b a t e s or Mr. R) until the merchant approves the cashback. It may take time but you should be able to get the funds credited. File a cashback claim with them for each transaction in question in the Customer Care section of your account. When you do this, they will show you the rate in effect on the date of your transaction for the various categories including "online purchases" and "Deal Slasher" (currently 3%) and ask you to indicate which category your purchase fell under. If they don't respond in a relatively timely way, you can send them follow up reminders under the "missing claim" record they create for you in the customer care section or contact them by filing a separate support ticket. I've never had cashback denied for FAR items or anything like it. It's not in the restrictions so why would they? TD stills gets what you pay for the item before rebate, so they really don't care. The manufacturer pays out the rebate, not TD.

I think Tiger does some of their own rebates not just manuf rebates and they could carve-out/exclude FAR items from earning cashback but it would be too complicated to administer esp for a company like Tiger. Some cashback websites like Top Cashback have lower rates for TIger's Daily Deal Slasher than other Tiger purchases but the rate differences have been causing administrative problems like the poster experienced.

I think 4myrebate is taking the copy of invoice requirement seriously as I just had my first rebate denied due to missing an invoice copy even though per their FAQ, it clearly states that the packing slip can be substituted for an invoice. I received the same denial response despite emailing them and speaking with CS. It looks like I will have to resubmit the documents.

I am really hoping for some FAR Red LED fans! My rig is all red and now I have 4 x red LED fans & 2 yellow LED fans.

My goal this year is to build a gaming rid completely out of FAR deals + slick deals for under $500.

It depends on the rebate. One says invoice, the other says invoice or packing slip.

so in ONE mail-in rebate, how many fans can we claim for?

or is it the case where if I order ONE BLACK, ONE BLUE, i have to send two mails?

The most your can get with one envelope is 3 blue. If you want 1 black and 1 blue you will need to send in two envelopes.
