Lastly, some people have contacted Best Buy customer support by calling them and have gotten their points back and sometimes some compensation. YMMV

It happens for 1 minute at 9:59pm CST, but after you take it once, it can't be repeated.

Looks like the points adjustment just occurred today for me too. I lost 37 points and got issued a 10 dollar cert but I can't seem to find it. weird.

I lost 81 points and was issued a $10 cert .. called them.
Regarding not able to see the $10 cert they said wait for 3-5 days and if u dont see it call us and we will issue it .. they also gave me 500 points to make up for the 81 points deducted for no reason :D

looks like i'll be giving BB a call tomorrow morning. Hopefully they'll be generous, but I don't shop at BB so as long as I get my original points back I'll be happy :D

Generally my experience is that it says 0 but if i come back later i get credited teh points and it's just a matter of when the poll was taken.

I got my points removed too, except they're all ones generated after Jan 1, which means they aren't supposed to touch em. I want my free 10 bucks back :lol:

Suddenly lost -65 points and it redeemed 750 point even though my setting is 1000. I can't even find the certificate =(

call or email them, and the cert will show up in a day or two - it's the maintenance they do every year to remove old expired points

It did a similar thing to me. Issued a certificate from 250 points and i lost the rest which couldn't be converted into a certificate. But the issued certificate was no where to be seen so all of those points are gone. Just give them a call and they will reissue them along with a few extra to compensate you for the inconvenience! :)

I logged in and my points are gone even the last 50 I got from surveys what happened!!!!

I've had problems with points a few times over the last couple of weeks, but they all seem to self correct after a day or two. No problems with today's poll. Thanks OP.

Me too, had -165 on 2/12 for the annual expiration. Already got $10 before that and I'm doing only 1 FB so this is just dumb now.

i decided yesterdy to make an acct for my husband. i confirmed the link in the email and tried doing the poll. used a different fb acct than the 2 for my bb rz acct. he not only received 0pts but there was no record of the pts in his acct. usually on my acct it says i got 0pts but it records in my acct. is there anything i can do?

i had -125 points from expiration and 250 towards a $5 cert and was left with 225 points. Their system is so broken. You guys calling to get the expired points reinstated?

I emailed them last week regarding the missing points. Here is the reply.

They just issued a $20 certificate for me in January around the 22nd. Somehow they then expired 200 points on 2/12 for the annual points expiration. Based off when the certificate was issued I don't see how those are leftover points that could expire. They were all dining or survey points from 2013.

Weird. Before the poll it told me I had 0 points (I should have like 130 or so). After the poll it told me I had 50. So yay. Then I logged into myrz and I see my 160 point balance expired a week ago. That's almost exactly how many points (175) I've earned from doing their FB polls.

They just took 241 points from me. All of those points were from 2013 as well. Time for an angry phone call.

Yes, I know points from 2012 expire.

BUT, I did not have any from 2012, I zeroed out last month.

OH Best Buy you did it again.

WTF. Just logged on and all my points are gone. Says an Annual Point Expiration and removed my 157 points.

Checked the rules and it only says anything about expiring if you don't have any activity for 12 months. I just bought something from Best Buy in December.

I was thinking at one point how a 'Bestbuy Poll Master thread' would avoid all this paranoia and slew of my points vanished posts because the question gets answered repeatedly but even on a daily thread they still dont read any previous posts so I guess there is no point.

I am not complaining but I wonder how long they'll keep this up. They've basically given me 20 bucks so far.

WTF, I called and they refused to do anything for me until the 23rd. Don't know why, since they are doing stuff for everybody else.

As the OP posted BB is doing a year end work on Reward Zone accounts till 2/23. So until that day the numbers will be weird.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. I was automatically cashed in 250 points and it was no where to be seen. Called this morning, they were trying to say that my cert went into my wife's account and it wasnt there. Samething happened to her, she was automatically cashed in a cert. So they gave me 500 points and my wife 250 points.

Just be cool with them :)

just checked my wife's account and they pratically gave her 800 points instead of 250.

But best buy deducted about 457 points under the annual point expiration and issuing a 5 buck certificate that I never issued. I think we get the annual point expiration points back?

I just took the poll 10:30am PST and I got 0 points. In addition, it reduced my overall points to 150. Previously, it was over 400.

I thought you could get Best Buy Gift Card with Rewards? I tried and got denied not even sure they would let me get Amazon one.

You can definitely buy amazon ones. I don't think you can buy a best buy gift card with what is technically a best buy giftcard.

Damn! There was a 139 point adjustment. Was aiming for $10 (500) but they converted my 250 pts to $5 and took away 139! I just called and the rep was saying it was expiration from last year but I already used up all the points last year with a $5 certificate.

He said they will investigate and I will get a call within 7-10 days. This sucks! Looks like they adjusted base on me doing the polls twice in a day. You think they caught on?

Ok...I called again. The rep that I called earlier (sounded like a black guy) was clueless of what happened and didn't offer any compensation for the inconvenience. The next guy I spoke to sounded Filipino and he automatically gave me 500 points after learning what happened without batting an eyelash.

So moral of the story....keep calling until you get a favorable result.

Just got off the phone with them. I lost 117 points but somehow the rep said I lost 350. So when he went to adjust the 350, he said "For the inconvenience, I will go ahead and issue 500 points instead and will also send you a $10 certificate" Happy Camper here!

don't think so they change everyday i believe, god luck.

For me I have been getting points consistently, hopefully after 2-3 months I will have enough points to buy me something shinny.....:)

how are some of you guys doing the poll twice a day?

I haven't been able to connect to bestbuy facebook page. When i go to bestbuy page on facebook and click on user polls nothing loads up, I've tried IE, Chrome from home internet and mobile internet.

Is anyone else having problems?? Or is it just me.
