My 55" LED weighs less than that I would bet money, so I would think you'd be fine.

Considering the top is just a shelf, it really doesn't matter.
And if your TV is LED lit, it should be on the lighter side in terms of weight.

Looks good but a little too big for my audio system.

81.6lbs on my 60in panny plasma, damn.

I use their maximum as a guideline. TVs are measured diagonal, so my 47" LG TV is actually only 43" wide. This includes the bezel and the screen is actually a couple of inches less. My set would only stick out 2" on each side, aesthetics aside.

I've been looking for something for my new 60" plasma and all I can say is good luck finding anything that big for under $100. It seems the nice looking ones that size are around $250 to $300.

I resorted to Craigslist and have now bought two tv stands. The first one was $40 and while it was wide enough it was really too short and my av receiver is about 1/8" too tall to fit in the under shelf. I went ahead and bought a much nicer unit last night for $150, again off CL, and am much happier with the TV 27" off the ground. I guess my advice is to make sure the dimensions on whatever you are considering are going to work out for you, especially the height and shelf sizes.

someone threw one like that on the street in my area. nobody even took it cus it was so fugly. is this one made out of hardwood or pressed board? i kid! of course its not real wood! lol
