$20 AR FM1 Motherboard: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applic...CatId=7242

Deal is dead price back to 89$ / some cancellation order reported

KarateB0b 02-13-2013 01:32 AM

damn good price for this APU. It has four real Llano/Stars/K10.5/Phenom2 cores and 400 shaders.

Downsides are the FM1 platform is dead, and 100w

FM1 Mobos start at $30ish for basic a55 stuff and $60 for usb3/sata6 a75 type of stuff

baonguyen312 02-13-2013 01:33 AM

Crazy Priceeeeee! In for 34!

satanslover 02-13-2013 01:36 AM

That's pretty darn good. At just a little over $10 a core, after CB. 100W is pretty good too considering there's a half decent GPU in there.

rockydbull 02-13-2013 01:43 AM

Great deal op. I had one in my cart but I could not pull the trigger. The dead socket is really killing me.

If anyone is looking for an allaround pc that is average to good in most applications this is the way to go

Ditto. No upgrade options without gutting the motherboard leave the PC useless in 2 years.

LOL, I've never upgraded a proc, and it's hardly that important. Your computer is only as fast as the slowest component, so you're better off upgrading your entire motherboard.

awesome price.. i guess it beats the hell out of my 955?

AMD screwed everything up anyway in their naming scheme. Look up benchmarks for these processors.

Most of them can't keep pace with 2010-era AM3 stuff.

Lucky for those who canceled.

???
I have this processor and it's fantastic, especially for gaming(just not high settings) because of the APU.
It's terribly unfortunate to those who got their orders canceled.
You can't beat a $50 cpu that can handle SC2, D3, DotA2, APB, etc... out the box. It's unpossible.
Plus the OC potential on these things is amazing!

robinski_ 02-14-2013 03:20 AM

my package has already been shipped, so we'll see

I'm sure not going to return anything lol

Holy mother of f***, you went the whole hog. Did you do anything special to get the delivery? Did you get one day or two day delivery?

Mine too, hopefully that makes the difference! Will cross my fingers.

Well, I have 40 PCs, but I have a reason for that, so I imagine that you'll resell them, no? Or are you more the hoarder type, will you be on one of those reality TV shows soon? I have a small studio apartment, I'm getting pretty close to that myself!

resell of course, I don't even own a single AMD computer lol

the only thing there is too much of at home is paper (100-200 reams), but hopefully I can get rid of that in the next yard sale

Can't see how it wouldn't move quickly for $2 a ream, nice little earner if you got them free, I assume you did.
