Home Health Care Provider

Is any one here a HHCP? If so, do you owe at tax time?

Do you think that's enough detail for a worthwhile answer?

I figured it was for a "yes or no" question....When home health care provider's file there taxes, do they often get some money back or do they usually owe at tax time? I heard that an HHCP's checks are not taxed (or taxed that much) so when they do their taxes usually owe.

If you are a 1099 and do not pay estimated tax you will owe thousands, assuming you are working full time.

are you employed in healthcare in any way?

hearsay is A LOT different from reality...and each individual's status depends on how he / she is employed...

1. 1099?

2. Single, Married, HOH?

3. How much did you make?

4. Children? How many?

5. Student loan deductions?

6. Mortgage interest?

7. Tax credits?

8. Other deductions?

9. Etc, etc, etc

Your question is not at all simple, sorry.

PS, were you under the assumption that home health care aides somehow paid different tax rates than other people?
