great prices on the cups !!

looks like Brew and save has mostly all 5 star reviews on amazon

BeerBellyBob 02-13-2013 05:18 PM

Stainless Steel seems like a bit overkill. It's the filter lining that goes out most often. The cups have never fallen apart on me.

Starting my christmas shopping in February!

Stainless steel is the way to go! Thanks for sharing!

I have the plastic version and the coffee almost always turns out weak. (grind type does not matter) I will prob go back to the old fashioned decanter method.

I guess this is not a great deal

Brew and save is apparently the same OEM as ekobrew, but the stainless steel ekobrew looks better, larger, and more refined. $20, $15, either way it's too much. The main rationale for stainless steel is less sediment than the plastic mesh can provide.. not durability or whatever

steve771 02-13-2013 09:48 PM

I got the stainless steel one as a Christmas present. Definitely not worth the money, it makes a weaker cup (tho a bit less sediment)

Fiberboy 02-13-2013 10:53 PM

I own the plastic one and it brews a great cup of coffee!

I don't understand. Why don't you just use a traditional coffee machine? I thought the whole point of K-cups is that you're too lazy to pour coffee grinds in the first place!

Sitting here waiting for this reason as why this is even sold or bought haha, This must be the people that started working out :)

I have the stainless steel Ekobrew fiter. You definitely get sediment in the bottom of the cup and it seems like I have to use too much coffee to get a decent cup. I have to fill it 2/3 to 3/4 full just like the instructions say, but that's enough for 2 cups in my Krups drip machine.

Some people like to reduce waste. (The "eko" in Ekobrew is supposed to be waste reduction.)
Some people like to make one (1) cup at a time.
Some people prefer the taste of espresso. Fast/high pressure is not the same as drip coffee. Keurigs operate fast and fairly evenly on the grind, though not at so high a pressure as even a home-use espresso machine.

I have a few Ekobrew cups. Fill on Monday, take to office, bring home and refill in the middle of the week.

In for a stainless steel and a plastic 2-pack. Hope it ships this time; thanks, OP.

Long time Keurig user despite the fact that I do really appreciate good coffee. I have the ecobrew and also have tried the reusable thing that came with the Keurig, but can't seem to get anything drinkable out of either one... always extremely weak no matter what quality, darkness, or granularity of fresh grind I put into these DIY K-cups... Perhaps I'm miissing something... does anyone have any tips?

The price just went down on the 5 pack to $5 each! Great deal.

rentonguy78613 02-15-2013 09:37 PM

Stainless Steel just went down to 12.95
