Call them ...

I lost 81 points .. my points were from this year so i called them.
they gave me 500 points to make up for the 81 points deducted for no reason

my account says that a bb reward was issued for $10. I set it to issue at $20, not sure why it automatically issued it? either way, i don't see it in my account? how long does it normally take to show up?

I had the same issue ... when i called them they said wait for 3-5 days and if u don't see it call them again and they will reissue the cert ...

I'll give them a call. I read on their website about the points resetting after the end of the calendar year. They cash you out to the nearest $5 increment and you lose the rest (even if you're at 249, you lose it all). I chalked it up as a loss (a 140 point loss) but I'll check with them tomorrow and find out. February 12th is not the end of a calendar year, if they didn't subtract points on Dec 31st, too bad. All 140 points were earned during this promotion.

Can the certificate be used to buy Amazon gift cards? The fine print says "Best Buy or Magnolia Gift Cards" but nothing about other gift cards.

I lost 219 points to expiration. I also had the year end cashout thing where they automatically cashed me out at $15 even though I had it set at $20.

Since that was so close to a $5 certificate I might call them about the expired points as others have done and see if they don't give them back.

Yes, you can use the reward zone ceritificates for the Amazon Kindle GCs (I bought a $25 GC yesterday at Best Buy), which you can use to buy anything on Amazon.

Whenever I call, reps are saying that these incorrectly expired points will be posted back to customers accounts after Feb 23.. Is that true? Or are they making up some reason to convince at this moment?

Instead of calling, I wrote an e-mail and I received a response saying they will credit my account within 2 weeks but no mention of any additional points. Did you guys already receive your points back to your account? I may try calling them to see if the next person is nicer.

Here is a snippet of the e-mail: "Those points earned on 2013 that were deducted in the annualization process by the system will be posted back to your account when the annualization period is over. This period will take approximately 2 weeks. We will have a firmer date in the next few days."

Yes i received 500 points instantly, i think most of the people here have had more luck by calling. I did read that some people got lucky on the 2nd or 3rd call though ... in my case i got it in the first call ... all it took was couple of minutes..

FYI ... i see the $10 cert in my account now ...the points were deducted on 2/12 but the cert showed up today .

yeah I lost 223 points yesterday. Went on the online chat just now, the guy was no help. He said the "best buy" calendar was Feb-Feb. Course I didn't say I earned them this month. I thought that was self explanatory. I will call tonight instead of waiting til Feb. 23rd or whatever

I called the number posted "1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289)" but I get this dang machine and with no option to talk to someone, this is after saying 'Reward Zone'. How did you manage to talk to a rep?

I email them also hoping they give me a one time adjustment. I've done that in the past and it was successful. I did notice they bumped me up to Silver Status for no reason, but hey I'll take it.

so basically if we get a nice rep, we get customer satisfaction points + the lost points too around the 23rd? not bad
