The White Vita at $135 is a great deal, this is the Assassin's Creed 3 bundle that only came out a few months ago. If it a grade 5 I really don't know how anyone can beat up a system that fast.

Well all the new consoles are releasing this year. Both the ps3 and 360 are great systems. The wii is perfect for kids and its dirt cheap.

You have the fat, slim and super slim in ps3. There are a lot of steals for the uncharted and far cry bundles in this sale. Go for the biggest hard drive remember, ps3's are also 3d bluray players

Xbox 360 just buy the cheapest slim

Wii go for the Mario bundle

Basically all theses systems are good. Games are dirt cheap used and you as a late adopter can buy a full game library for pennies on the dollar that will keep you playing for years.

XBOX 360 is the best all around entertainment machine. The ps3 has the best graphics. I have all 3 systems and I sold all 3 of them for a living for awhile. My PS3 is a glorified Blu-Ray player, the Wii is for Virtual Console use and the XBOX 360 is what I use the most.

cant you yank out the hard drive and toss in a 500gb or bigger?. Isnt this like a locked down pc?. I build repair and overclock laptops and desktops so im assuming or hoping you can at least upgrade the internal drive?. not sure about xbox 360 but is there more games for that then ps3?.

I have the Star Wars Special Edition console and I believe it is the last "version" to be made. it has only locked up twice and I think it was because of the games it was running, not because it overheated. My PS3 is an original fat 80Gb and locked up more than a few times but that was because my idiot roommate at the time put his Xbox 360 Elite right next to it and squeezed the LCD TV against it. I know you can upgrade my PS3 with an ssd but I have never needed more than the 320gb hard drive in my Xbox 360 so I have never looked into upgrading it. I know they sale a 320Gb hard drive upgrade for it though. Also, the Xbox added a new free feature at the end of the year. the Xbox Music app features "FREE" music streaming and for 9.99 a month you can download to your Xbox, Xbox Music app on Windows 8, Zune app on Windows XP Windows Vista and Windows 7, also Windows Phone 7 or Windows Phone and if rumors are true soon to be Android. Also there is the awesome Smartglass app that runs on iOs, Android and Windows Phone.

You will need a 360 Slim or 360 (phat 360 need an ac adapter for the kinect) and a kinect device to play dance central.

360 hard drives are locked down with firmware on certain drives. You can make your own or buy a 3rd party option and slap it in there but it has to be a certain model drive with certain firmware for the 360 to recognize it. There is always a chance for a console to break down just like a PC can but the slim models are pretty well built and has an auto shutdown feature before it overheats to help prevent the RROD. With a PS3 you could just replace the hard drive with any 2.5" sata drive and the system will format it for you.

Actually if you purchase the Kinect it comes with all the things you need to hook up to any Xbox 360, that much i know from selling them.

Finally made my first cowboom purchase after seeing these posts get so much attention. Condition 5 black dsi with only stylus and manual missing. Hoping that this meets my expectations of what I've been hearing on these threads!!!

$93 for 3ds, anyone think that a grade 4 that comes with everything besides a SD card and the stylus decent?

You can't upgrade the hardware in any of the consoles aside from the hard drives, which is pointless for most because you'll likely never need all of the storage that most pack. Upgrading the hard drive in any PS3 is little more than a plug-and-play switch with any SATA HDD or SSD, while Microsoft forces you to buy a hard drive with specific firmware on it for the Xbox 360, which means over-paying for Microsoft's repackaged 2.5" HDD (complete with 400% markup) or hacking the firmware onto a Western Digital using an internet guide.

The Xbox 360 S models are all safe from a reliability perspective, as should any of the later revisions of the original 360. I'm not sure how to identify which chipset is in which though based on the cowboom listings alone. If the description provides a SKU you could google it.

It's worth noting that for most intents and purposes, you'll find the same third-party games on both consoles with negligible differences (most third-party games run ever so slightly better on the 360, but to the point where you'd probably never notice the difference unless you read about a direct comparison). The PS3, however, has a few discernible advantages, in my opinion: online gaming, as well as accessing your Netflix account, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. are free on the PS3, while Microsoft requires Xbox Live Gold to access those features on the 360. If you buy a 12-month sub on slickdeals, this will run you $35-40. Also, the PS3 has a stronger exclusive software lineup (again, IMO), including the Uncharted Series, God of War, Gran Turismo, and more. It also has The Last Of Us coming out in June, which may be a GOTY contender.

The Xbox 360's biggest exclusives are the Halo series, Gears of War, and Forza.

As far as multimedia capabilities are concerned, I actually think the PS3 is slightly ahead of the Xbox because it's a blu-ray player, and is basically the same as an Xbox 360 with Gold for everything else. Additionally, the PS3 has a slightly faster interface than the Xbox 360, although both are painfully slow when compared to an Apple TV, any modern smartphone, a PC, etc. etc. The Xbox 360 could have had a leg up on the PS3 with Xbox smartplay integration with Windows 8 and iOS/Android smartphone apps, but from my experience it's so poorly implemented, slow, and clunky that you'll probably give up on using it quickly.

This time around, there weren't any 360 kinect bundle (last time they did). It might be cheaper to wait the next time around. Just like what johnn4 said, if you buy the kinect separately, it likely come with an ac adapter.

tbh 120GB should be plenty of space for either the 360 or PS3 unless you insist on having every single game you own installed to the hard drive or are buying loads of digital games. Streaming media from other devices in your house or the internet has more or less eliminated the need to place them on the consoles.

I wouldn't base my decision on the 360's unfriendliness in that regard. However, I would base it on the PS3's free to use media capabilities, blu-ray playback and online gaming, as well as the stronger software lineup, provided that you can live without Halo, Gears of War, and Forza. EDIT: And also provided that you don't care about Kinect.

There are other situations in which some people might get some use out of a larger hard drive, but almost all of them involve gamers who are fairly hardcore and have owned one or both consoles for years.

Unless you are buying a ton of stuff off of XBL or installing tons of games (usually optional feature to reduce wear on disk drive),120gb is actually plenty. Most DLC and arcade games are less than 1gb, game installs are ~5-8gb. Plus you could always delete installs or downloads and reinstall or download them again if you need to, as long as saves are intact there is typically no problems. Also you could use a usb thumb drive up to 32gb with the system for added space or the ability to take your profile, saves, and downloads/installs with you.

As someone mentioned there is a ton of stuff behind the xbox live gold paywall but as long as you are getting it for cheap on slickdeals it is worth it if you use those features. I actually use my 360 as total media device from playing games, streaming stuff off netflix/xfinity/crackle, streaming stuff off my network, and as a HD cable receiver by using it as a windows media center extender. Basically have a HTPC using an HD homerun prime with windows media center and use it as a DVR but can use the 360's on the network to stream recordings, live tv, set recordings, etc. just like a cable box.

PS3 is great and has nice exclusives, and if you get one get PS+ as you can get a ton of games to play for free each month.

Yes they are all move compatible so long as you have all the move equipment of course.

Do you need the move controllers? Especially if using it mainly as a blu ray player? You could get a cheap media remote or if you have something like a logitech harmony remote just program it. In my opinion it is one of the best blu ray players on the market and cheap ones tend to be a lot crappier (like my $30 refurb LG one that does not play 90% of blu rays).

I have a remote that would work and if it was close in price as a blu ray I would certainly buy it instead but nowadays seems you can pick up a decent blu ray for $50-$60. I had opposite experience with my LG blu-ray, not a refurb but got it for $70 and it will play anything I put in it my $400 Samsung HT 5500 however sucks and freezes and wont play several of the Blu Rays I've tried despite resets and firmware upgrades, and is why I need another blu ray, so you just never know. Right now I thinking of getting another LG just like the one I have, unless I find a really cheap PS3.

yes, all ps3 work with move provided u have the move controller, the ps3 eye, the optional navigation controller, and a move game. Some games require 2 move controllers and/or a navigation controller.

If the accessories are MISSING when there were clearly listed as included, call and you will get athe choice to return the item, or if you want to keep it, they will give you a credit to go by the missing item yourself. For example just this morning I got my beautiful grade 6 tablet that was clearly listed WITH the accessories included, and guess what, I opened the box, nada. Spoke with a very sweet CSR who promptly and generously credited me enough so I could get the OEM charger, not a few bucks to buy a Chinese knock off. This happened once before when a laptop box wasn't seal and we figure UPS lost the latop charger, because it wasn't in the box upon delivery but the box was also unsealed. Cowboom credited me $60 which was more than enough to buy a genuine adapter off eBay.

If the accessories are NOT part of the item to begin with, you must factor that in. Put in your cart and keep refreshing, and while you are doing that, go on eBay and Amazon and price out what the replacement cost will be. Are the savings worth it? I bought a Vita tonight that was missing a USB cable, no biggie I can replace that for a few bucks. But if it were missing the battery? No way. Cowboom does factor the cost of the missing accessories SOMETIMES into their low prices - I saw a CHEAP Asus i5 today but when I investigated and saw it was missing the battery AND AC adapter, I decided to pass. Even with a bargain, I'm still looking at $50 in added costs.

No, you don't need the Move controllers; they are strictly for motion-controlled gaming and that's it. They don't control media well.

If you're using it mainly as a Blu-Ray player, do yourself a favor and invest ~$20 in the Sony Blu-Ray remote. It's way better than using the controller, and the batteries last forever with the Bluetooth connection. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6879261335

You also can't program a Harmony to function as a PS3 remote without buying a separate Harmony adapter. Since the Harmony uses infrared and the PS3 uses Bluetooth, a USB infrared dongle is needed.

Even better than Sony's remote, in my opinion, is the Blu-Link Universal Remote. It has blue tooth for the PS3 and regular IR for everything else. I'm currently controlling my PS3, TV, Roku, and EagleTech speakers with one (still have room for 2 more devices).

I'm tired of paying for Xbox live just to use Netflix on my XBOX360 so I was interested in buying a Wii.

1. Does the wii have good netflix support?

2. Does it support DLNA (Streaming from my home PC running tversity)

3. I'd like the option if possbile to hack the Wii for homebrew. If I were to buy one from cowboom is there anything specific to look out for?

yes you can stream netflix, crackle, xfinity, vudu, amazon instant video etc....

Most notable that you can't stream with ps3 (at least last time I checked) are ESPN3 and HBO Go.

FYI people, Cowboom is really slow to ship stuff. I ordered a PS3 bundle on Friday afternoon the 8th and didn't get a tracking # until Tuesday the 12th. And I still don't have it yet, hopefully tomorrow.

Got the 250gb Infamous PS3 bundle for $159+tax. Getting impatient, but willing to suffer since it was a good deal.

They aren't always slow. Sometimes I get tracking numbers within 24 hours.

90% of things I ordered are shipped within 12 hours of purchase.
if you bought it on Friday afternoon, its the same as buying it on Monday and thus shipped on Tuesday.

I dunno it was like 3pm CT on Friday which is 1pm PT... a shipping number on Monday would have been ok, but didn't get one until late in the day on Tuesday.

When I order stuff from Newegg on Friday I usually get the ship notice on Sat or Mon AM at the latest.

Even so, it was a good deal and as long as it's in good shape and everything works OK I will be happy.

Ordered a PS Vita 3g for a total of $137.79 just now. Condition 5, and said it has "minor signs of use." I've never used Cowboom before.

Got my PS3 today. It was "condition 5". The controller looks new. The unit looks like it has been used (some dust, fingerprints and smudges) but I cleaned both with a little fantastic on a rag and looks almost new. Works great. The 4 included games were sealed and untouched.

It was worth the wait!

Got my PS Vita 3G today. It had no packaging (was just in a box with a sheet of bubble paper) but is in perfect condition. It was formatted and started up with the system setup, and there are no visible scratches, cracks, or other imperfections, save one very thin scratch that is about half a centimeter long on the side, on the door of the game slot.

I charged it up and used it a bit. The battery seems as good as new, the screen has no dead pixels, and the cameras/wifi/3G/GPS all work fine.

So overall I'm very happy with the condition of the console and will definitely keep an eye on Cowboom in the future. "Condition 5" is high end refurb quality.
