It's not an ideal price for such an "old" game but since this hasn't been re-released physically or digitally since, I think it deserves mentioning.

System Shock 2, IMO, is THE greatest PC title ever released. Anyone that has ever played it knows what I'm talking about.

Since it went out of print, you wouldn't find a copy of SS2 for sale for less than $25 (and that's just for the disc!) so for $10 it's a steal.

There aren't any updates, skin improvements through GOG but there are plenty online to make the dated look better.

This was abandonware so long, it's good to see it back for sale again.

I've heard that the GOG version has the newest 2.4 (unofficial) patch that fixes most of the issues the game had on modern operating systems. Though you may still want to check out the Technical FAQ [systemshock.org] and Modding Guide [systemshock.org].

A game that needs a reboot - one of the best I've played - groundbreaking (IMHO) for the time. Glad to hear it's still available.

I'd love to see an "HD" version of it along with the original.

And the Thief games.

And Deus Ex.

And anything else Looking Glass Studios produced. Damn, I wish they never went under...
