I'm seeing some threads with numbers at the end of the title which were not put there by the OP.

Is this being done by the mods or or is it done automatically as part of some kind of new feature?

It's automatic to prevent duplicate thread titles. We will be reverting it back so that it doesn't affect the thread title.
