Good deal. Thanks. Been looking for a smaller winch to mount on a trailer. This will be perfect.

I'm not completely confident that it actually will ship but with Amazon as the seller there's a reasonable chance. At worst we'll end up with gift cards for our trouble.

everything went through, i hope it works, i wanted a small wench to put on my jeep ,, but didnt want to spend too much money , this fits the bill , thanks op

pablomoca 02-14-2013 11:18 PM

Just ordered one. This will make a great gift for my brothers jeep. Assuming the order goes through.

FYI, this isn't exactly a winch to pull a jeep out with. Keep that in mind. Using it to help pull logs and stuff is cool but to pull a jeep out is going to be a bit taxing.

yeah this is made for ATVs if you check out the manufacturers website

I don't have any sort of vehicle, but at this price I can use it to drag me out of of bed in the morning.

sadly, if i thought it would have worked well.. i would have bought 3 to use at once LOL

never see a 8-9000lbs winch for 150$.. booo! :(

You can find them now and then but I'm not sure that I'd really want to buy one. Kind of a crap shoot at that level. Given the gamble and that it's something that you really kinda want to work when you need it to, better off just spending a little more and getting something that you can trust.

These light winches aren't completely useless. Not something for any serious off-road use and you're not dragging a lot dead weight with them obviously but they can help you get traction if you're still rolling and work OK for general utility purposes. I've had one mounted to a receiver hitch that I used for dragging things around and it's pulled me out of some spots where I was spinning wheels otherwise. If nothing else gives you something to play with to pass the time until somebody finally comes along to rescue your stuck ass. ; ) lol

"your item has shipped" Amazon came through!

Mike A. 02-21-2013 08:18 PM

Shipped here too. Kinda surprised that it did. Haven't had much luck with Amazon's "we'll ship one day in the future"-type deals. Not complaining though.

Thanks again OP.

Got notification that it is shipping sooner than expected. Still hasn't shipped yet, but getting excited that it has shipped for others. Best deal of the year so far.

gunner05 02-25-2013 11:22 PM

Got one in today, will get two more tomorrow.

Mike A. 02-25-2013 11:32 PM

Got mine today. Haven't done anything with it yet other than take it out of the box. Looks like a pretty decent little winch. Especially with the synthetic cable. Last time that I'd looked I think that it alone was about as much or more than what we paid. In addition to the parts listed in the OP it also comes with a hook, sleeve for the cable, solenoid, and wiring. Instructions are reasonably detailed and look straight-forward assuming that you're reasonably handy with basic 12V wiring.

If anyone wants to part with theirs, I need one to make loading the motorcycle in the van a bit easier.
