This app is regularly $4.99, it's free for today. This app has been around on the HP Touchpad for a while, but just came out for iPad and Android. Looks like it's still full price on Android, but my cats have had a lot of fun on this, and I found it worth it.

Developer here... this is free just for today, then the price jumps back to $4.99. I would do the same for the Android users, but Google Play won't let me temporarily drop the price to free - it becomes a permanent free if I do that :(

I'm still hoping Amazon notices it free for iPad enough to feature it as an app of the day.

I'd tell you the easter egg in the app, but your cats might then hate the app and you ;)

One of my cats is still entertained by the app after a year of testing (he comes when he hears the jingling), but the other won't forgive me for making her jump three feet into the air. :lol:

Is a screen protector included?

I actually tried to scratch my 1Gen iPad with a metal nail file (as a test), and no damage. Same testing with my HP Touchpad.

Short of diamonds, what is going to scratch glass?

I've been testing this app for over a year with my cats, and a I have quite a few users on the HP Touchpad and have never heard of a single issue with scratches or damage.

I would be concerned if you got the Android version and had a cheap Chinese knockoff that maybe had a crappy plastic screen, but glass screens should not be an issue.

Screen protectors for quality tablets and phones are kind of scammy anyway. Gorilla Glass and similar surfaces don't scratch and are usually more resistant to fingerprints and dirt than clear vinyl screen protectors. About the only thing I've ever observed about screen protectors is their ability to make the display more cloudy.
