Here is a good video for a DIY extendable pole with handle with the OPs tripod mount. Made it myself for $10 bucks with supplies from my local Lowes.

It's been so quiet with no good deals lately and SD loves anything Amazon, it's a cult.

I bought the roll bar mount @ $17.79 w/ the tripod mount. Think they are matching WM, price dropped suddenly a couple of days ago.

Amazon is way out of line on some of the other gopro accessories (i.e. bacpac for the hero2), but the mount/roll bar is at at good price right (< handle bar mount) now probably thx to WM.

I tend to agree w/your point, other than $2 and change savings is still a couple of bucks saved. So in this case, I disagree with that logic.

BestBuy will price match Amazon. Just picked this and the head strap up at BB, saved the shipping costs.
