If you click "what's in the box" on the B&H page it says:
  • K750 Keyboard
  • Unifying Receiver
  • Wireless Extender
  • Cleaning Cloth
  • 3-Year Limited Hardware Warranty

thanks. 3 years warranty is nice.

Fairly nice keyboard, I ended up returning mine. The keys are loose and very noisy (not the click from a mechanical keyboard, but the rattle from loosely mounted keys), and the glossiness is distracting if you have a desk lamp. If you're cool with these issues, then it's a stylish and sleek keyboard!

MOkoFOko 02-17-2013 04:58 PM

Of all the things they could add a solar panel to...

heonyounghlee 02-17-2013 05:04 PM

great keyboard (currently typing on it). been using it for a year and still works perfectly. i purchased from a dented box sale, and the keyboard came slightly bent. i unbent it and still works perfectly today.

Sounds like you had a lemon? I have this keyboard and the keys are not loose at all and silent. The glossy finish definitely *is* a fingerprint magnet, though. ;)

Love this keyboard. I wish the mac version would ever come on sale. I'd get one for my mac too

update: http://slickdeals.net/f/5861134-L...s-Vine-com

Found this which is a good deal for a compact bluetooth version for macbooks

vandal570 02-17-2013 05:42 PM

So I have to take this outside to charge it every day?

I kid I kid. Nice deal.

Actually, you bring the sun into your house.

Tnyc 02-17-2013 06:06 PM

wish my Logitech DiNovo keyboard has the spacing between the keys. Less likely to make typos.

lbp775 02-17-2013 06:07 PM

Great keyboard. Been using mine for the last 6 months with a marathon mouse. It's nice not to have to worry about batteries for at least 3 years (marathon mouse).

oo7slice 02-17-2013 06:08 PM

A little cheaper here ($35.75), but you need to pick it up at Sears: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1015...9892&aff=Y

Prices may vary, $49.99 where I am.

jmkalfut 02-17-2013 06:29 PM

They have this keyboard with a Marathon mouse combo at my local Costco for around $69. Not sure if this is a regional thing or what... but FYI.

rowrow 02-17-2013 06:39 PM

This keyboard is great when it works.
I had one for a little while, and the charge just kept dropping for no reason
It was getting enough light and everything, but the charge on the meter just kept dropping!
Every once in a while the KB simply wouldn't respond.
Finally I got fed up with it, and called logitech, told them my problem, and they sent me a new one, no problem.
A couple weeks later, the same problems with the first start happening with this one. I dont know if its just me, but it keeps on lagging and the keys simply don't register at least once every day for about 20 seconds. Don't know what the problem is, since it seems to have excellent reviews, and I was doing everything I was supposed to.

itsnotmyfault 02-17-2013 06:49 PM

People have light in their rooms? Anyone know if the light from the screen is enough to give this thing charge?

softnyx 02-17-2013 06:50 PM

I love this keyboard, had it over a year and never had any issues with it.

Ducman69 02-17-2013 06:53 PM

I have one of these for my home theater PC, since it doesn't get used frequently.

The benefit is that its always juiced up with no looking for AAA batteries at the last second when friends are over, and it has a really good range.

The only downside is that it can take a second to "wake up" from standby when you first start typing.

Armaan1 02-17-2013 06:54 PM

Awesome quality and ultra-thin. Crazy part is that it can be charged with a regular desk lamp.

Hx114 02-17-2013 06:56 PM

also using this keyboard, very awesome...ONLY THING HOWEVER no indicator that caps lock or num lock is on

mitan 02-17-2013 07:01 PM

I've had this keyboard for about a year too, and I really don't think it's worth the price. For some reason I find that dust, crumbs, and cat hair get stuck in/under the keys really easily, and my attempts to remove the keys and clean under them have almost led to me breaking or losing the tiny plastic connectors on multiple occasions. On the upside, the solar part is nice, and it's great that I can use the same usb with my logitech mouse. However, for me it is necessary to have a backup keyboard for when it runs out of solar juice (I should probably get into the habit of charging it regularly). The keys are short and remind me of laptop keys. It is very pretty, but I can't imagine it lasting another year--and I'm used to my mice (is this correct?) and keyboards lasting at least 3 years.

esquire415 02-17-2013 07:07 PM

Not backlit, no deal!

LOL, you must be joking. right?

I have been using since 0211, and no problems so far. Nothing to complain about.

It's a third party seller. You can't pick it up at sears, methinks.

Funny, I made a make-shift keyboard cover by using cling-film precisely to avoid the crumbs and hair. My keyboard is pristine.

Steveb3163 02-17-2013 07:52 PM

760 model here for $43.78 if you are interested

Melee54 02-17-2013 07:58 PM

I have two of these. Very nice keyboards even though they die fast. Probably because I use them for gaming. I just stick it in the window to collect sun while I'm at work and then I'm good for a few more days. I'd buy another if I needed it.

kalawera 02-17-2013 08:33 PM

this is the "old" version of this keyboard- yellow FN keys and win7 logo. RMAd it due to not charging, logitech send me the "new" style- blue keys and win8 logo, excellent support- did not even return the broken one, generally very happy, paid same price for dented box @ logitech website

Good thinking on your part. I've never had a problem like this in the past, and I think the damage is done with my 750 now, but it's nice to know there is a cheap preventive fix if I end up getting a similar keyboard in the future.

trojanvirus 02-17-2013 09:04 PM

You probably got the original model which is less noisy. They replaced it with newer model which is slightly different. Do a search and you will see that the current one being sold has loose and noisy keys. I bought three from costco and all three had the same problem. NOISY keys. If this is the older version then it's great, if it's the newer one then it sucks.

livehifi 02-17-2013 10:05 PM

I really want this but I need two things:

-Backlit keys
-Windows 8 Compatible

Think it'll work?

It definitely doesn't have backlit keys, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with Windows 8 (it's just USB keyboard, after all).

That's what's funny really. I usually never do this either, but I figured I should because I really like the concept of a solar keyboard, and I wanted it to last :) Glad I did. I hope it works well for you too :)

nomikal 02-17-2013 11:03 PM

I got one, love it, but the rechargable ml 2032 batteries for this are hard to come by at a reasonable price. Just bought one for like $4.00 dollars.

Sethar 02-18-2013 05:09 AM

I've had one for over a year, it's a pretty nice keyboard. The Pro's are obvious (No AAA batteries, solar recharge, etc.) It will not get enough power from the monitor lighting in the room (I have a 32" TV and 22" monitor running with no other light, and it is far in the "red zone" on the app) however the reserve will last you a long time (several days) with just web browsing. There is a little lithium-ion rechargeable battery that costs about $10 retail ($4-7 online) that is used to "store" solar energy (ML2032 model battery).

Your problem comes in with gaming. When I was playing games for several hours a day, I'd eat through my keyboard energy reserve charge at the rate of 20-30% per day with insufficient lighting (I have a light fixture in my office that takes 4 fluorescent tube lights, but has a decorative grating over it. I had to remove the grating to get me into the 250-300 Lux range which gave it ample charge to stay at 100% even while gaming heavily - without gaming I would've been fine with leaving the grate alone).

The plastic over the solar panels scratches insanely easy. I was trying to baby it when I first got it, even using the lint free cloth to wipe it caused scratches. It's scratched pretty bad after a year now, but it does not seem to have any degradation in function.

The text on the keys are just painted on, my up arrow has completely worn off within a year, however all of my other keys are perfectly fine so that may have just been a defect (or I've pressed the up key an absurd amount of times).

Hope this helps someone make their decision.

ShIzNiTs 02-18-2013 05:32 AM

I do not see how this is more convenient than the K800

As a kid growing up, I had a real hard time grasping the idea that bakeries actually sold doughnut holes! Think about it! There's nothing there! Imagine my reaction the first time I saw solar powered keyboards! It was about the same as when I first saw indoor wind chimes!

Just checked with Sears Live Chat on that - it IS from a third-party seller, but it can be shipped to your store - expect it in 7-9 days.

Well, technically, I didn't ask that, and I did not proceed any further. I may have wrongfully assumed that Sears, like most places, has ship-to-store for free.
So, this could be my bad...
So I suppose that if I'm paying for shipping, I'd just have it sent to me, save the trip to Sears...

LukeK8608 02-18-2013 08:48 AM

I was ready to order this keyboard just 2 weeks ago. I wanted an extremely thin keyboard to use and this fit the bill, stylish too. So I went down to local staples to see if they had any demos and was extremely displeased by the loose/loud keys. It was terrible. :-( they were all wiggly, and loud from plastic on plastic kind of sounds. idk I just don't think I could live with it. shame too

Luke

angrysquirrel 02-18-2013 10:40 AM

I had a defective keyboard and logitech did a warranty replacement without me even having to ship the old one back. top notch customer support IMO.

K750 has a USB receiver and K760 is bluetooth?

kskreider 02-18-2013 03:49 PM

Thank you OP! I bought one. I dropped my corded keyboard the other day and the space bar key snapped off. I clicked it back on but it sticks. It is time to get away from the cord anyway.

Great keyboard, got it for 45 last year on SD and couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Luckysevens77 02-20-2013 10:02 AM

I absolutely love my solar keyboard but pretty sure I've also got the older version. Mine is closing in on 2 years of use including heavier gaming use.

The slim lightweight feel is better than any other Logitech keyboard I've used. It works on my Samsung tv browser, my PS3, and is Windows 8 compatible but not sure why anyone would question the last.

I have a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo with 1 USB dongo. Is there a way to use a mouse with this Wireless Solar keyboard using only 1 USB dongle for the mouse/keyboard?

bluskye 02-20-2013 06:29 PM

Mine arrived. Works fab. Paired it with the unifying rcvr on my performance mx mouse. All is well.

helius 02-20-2013 08:06 PM

Mine came yesterday, and I've been using it since.

Whoever it was that said that the keyboard is loud - I agree. It's not crazy-loud, but it is noticeably louder than most of my laptop keyboards.

Same here. I haven't received the keyboard the status is "on order".

kskreider 03-01-2013 04:58 PM

I ordered on 2/18 and I never received anything and my order status still says "on order". I am getting pretty mad as the space bar is broken on my keyboard at home which royally sucks.

Update 3/5/2013: 15 days after placing my original order I received an email confirming that my keyboard shipped today. Poor service, B&H.
