Teva makes some quality products I own a pair of their Fuse-ion's - The amount of compliments I've received isnt as good as explaining the science underneath the shoe. I cant rave about them enough, they are like wearing glue compared to chucks t's.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAWxNo9TT0k (You can snag these for as low as $50 with patience). Edit: Ironically after re-watching this video I googled the shoe's found them for $49 and bought them again in bungee color. (I just SD'd myself) But if you're in the market for a hiking boot the North Face hedgehogs I shared the other day have better technology but cost $30 more than the Teva's. If you are on the fence, I would bite but if you are looking for something a bit more stylish and better suited for extremes check out this link: http://slickdeals.net/f/5863532-T...Pink-70-99 |
Wow, this is an awesome price. I have the mid-cut version of these.
These use E-Vent, which is one of the most breathable waterproof fabrics out there (moreso than Goretex's lines). The drawback of these is that because of the synthetic uppers, theyre not as durable as ones with leather uppers, so they may not last as long. But you'll probably be happy with them while they're still going. |
I have them, took them for a spin up the Alps last year, pretty good shoes. A bit wide for my slim feet but nothing that can't be fixed with thick socks.
|
This deal is not for everyone....The sale price is only sizes 7 to 9 and 10 and 11. Any size other than that is still $77 or $109.95

Had the size 9 in my cart but then lost it and now OOS from Amazon. If anyone has a size 9 they are not using please consider selling it to me.
Thanks. |

I have the boot version of these. Very well made and stylish shoe. Luckily there's a teva outlet in town with crazy cheap prices and i snagged them for 15 bucks.

don't be a FOOL!!!
Go to REI, get sized and then buy BUT this is not even 50% off!!! Seirratradingpost or departmentofgoods is WAY BETTER PRICES (with coupon codes). Sometime REI will have the best price on their clearance rack |

|
Only for guys with baby feet...

can anyone recommend a good comfortable, waterproof, leather, hiking BOOT for under $100?
|
|
Got one. Thanks OP.

No. :shake: (But check Sierra Trading Post for as close as you'll get.) |
I must be missing them, because every time I look, they've gone up in price. Now it's showing $109.95 for my size. Shame, too, because I like Teva shoes.
|
i need boots... at least mid tops... anyone know of any on sale?
|
Quote:
And I never find any great deals on STP, because there's always some catch. Departmentofgoods doesn't even have this shoe and the prices aren't that good for those that they do have. |
My size is $110

They look like nice boots, but I'm looking for some that are lower, like these that I missed. If you're just looking for some cheap waterproof boots, you can often find some at Land's End for $25-$30. They're not great, but they are good for the price. I have a pair and they keep my feet dry. |

I believe that Seirratradingpost has this shoe IN LEATHER!!! for about the same amount if you have a 30% off coupon code. But, then I would get a better brand if you really wanted a hiking shoe. AGAIN!!! Go to REI get fitted and then buy online. Quote:
Search for a better code... I know that there is a 30% floating around. |
Quote:
Thanks for the heads-up on the 30% code! I'll look around for it. |
Quote:
Actually there is a 40% OFF CODE!!!!!!!!!!!! that will expire tomorrow!!!!!! Google "secret sale" and IMHO, these are the best brands to buy (probably missing a few).... Best Brands… Asolo, Hanwag, Lowa, Scarpa, Garmount, Vasque, Haglofs and Montrail. Then I would consider (not as good as my first list).... Keen, Patagonia, Mammut, Merril, golite, Then I would consider... Teva, North Face, Columbia, Wegner Then I would consider Hi-Tec, etc... |

Most of those brands are out of my price range and need, but it's nice to know which are the best. Having owned a few pairs of Teva, Keen and Columbia boots, I'd still say that Teva's are closer to Keen's then Columbia's. |

It's also that I'm not familiar with some of those brands, which is why I appreciate you putting them in order of quality. For example, I've seen Montrail on sale for affordable prices a lot, but I have no experience with the brand. Next time I'll give it more consideration. |
Quote:
OK... here is a 35% coupon code... IF YOU BUY IT THROUGH AN ADROID PHONE AND DOWNLOAD THE SIERRATRADDINGPOST APP YOU WILL ALSO GET FREE SHIPPING. code: XJD9854V epires 2/25/13... THAT'S TOMORROW!!!! http://www.sierratradingpost.com/...rFamily=70 http://www.sierratradingpost.com/...rFamily=71 rather then listing all the good ones... here is a pretty complete list of ALL of them (including the not so good ones). http://www.sierratradingpost.com/...oes~d~361/ |

Thanks for the coupon! I'm signed up to STP's mailing list, but didn't notice that one. update: Actually, what I'm looking for is a low-cut hiking shoe that's waterproof and has a stiff sole. I don't want one that's a mid-cut and most low-cut hiking shoes are really nothing more then trail shoes (Sometimes I prefer trail shoes, but they're not always padded or stiff enough.) I have a pair of Keens that fit this description, but, ironically, they're too low and have too much insulation. |

Quote:
So, I hope you took the sizing issues into consideration? |
Quote:
Sign up for their mailing list, they give codes daily, once I got a 45%, once I got a 40% and i have gotten many 35% off... and I don't know why but these codes are not pushed in SD. |
Quote:
i'll try to see if i can find a place with teva boots around. i doubt they have this particular one though... are all tevas half size smaller or just this one? |
Quote:
I've seen people say that Teva's tend to run small, but I can't say for certain. Of the 2 pairs that I own, the one that fits great is actually a half size smaller then I normally wear, but the other one is too small, even though it's my regular size. I think it probably has more to do with inconsistent sizing. You might try contacting STP to see if you can still change or cancel your order. I used their text chat to cancel my earlier order and it couldn't have been easier. Thanks for the code joshuaNH! |
Quote:
EDIT: nevermind, they won't let me change the order or cancel it since it's in processing... |
Quote:
If you can exchange them, you're still receiving a pretty good deal, minus the return shipping charges. I'd wait until the others arrive to try them on first, though. |

They're also very comfortable and have a fairly rigid sole, so I'm very happy with them. |
