Mariss716 02-21-2013 10:38 PM

Not bad, Galaxy Tab 2 7" for $89, a few other deals I scooped up. Pretty cleaned out at this point thanks to urlhasbeenblocked lol.

Mariss716 02-21-2013 10:42 PM

Hmm, Galaxy Note 32GB for $299 but damn taxes and no charger...

destruktor666 02-21-2013 10:44 PM

don't know if the htc flyer was a good deal, oh well got 2. I can easily return them if they're not a deal.

I saw, that is the lowest price point I've seen in flash. I wouldn't pay more at this point anyway. There was an SD the other day for the scribe pen (like $17 or something), don't know if it's still good.

tennisplayer888 02-21-2013 10:48 PM

Damn I want a Note 10.1 at that price... I paid $320 for a 16gb one on here the other day... but it comes with everything.

Yes I paid $110 about 3 months ago and technology changes fast, so not bad. If anyone who bought them wants Rocketfish hard shells for them I have two sitting in my closet lol, PM me, they need a good home.

I ordered a playbook and cancelled as i got an acer iconia 7 inch A100 tablet from cowboom. hopefully there are no issues with cancelling the first order. i emailed customer service. been wanting a cheap 7in tablet as an ereader and seen the iconia at walmart earlier and boom there is was for way less on cowboom. is cowboom usually good about cancelling before an item ships?

I'd take the PB over the A100, I owned one of the A100s and many PBs, not the best imo.

JeremiahD 02-21-2013 11:27 PM

i hear you. i used to have a playbook. the app store was so bare and chasing apps to sideload was a pain even though it was well built. truth be told im an apple guy. got a 4th gen ipad but wanted something small to carry here and there and like it or not android has alot more apps that i need on a daily basis. i wouldnt mind an ipad mini but the screen sucks for the price and this was under a hundred bucks. android seems to play better with my macbook also but i think build and screen wise i agree playbook is better

radioactive21 02-21-2013 11:43 PM

Damn they really really really want to sell the Rim BlackBerry because that keeps coming back up for long periods of time.

Call them or go on chat immediately at 7am (PST) and there shouldn't be an issue. They used to ship very quickly (within hours) but there's been more of a delay lately on orders, sometimes a day even.

Do not rely on email. The number is 888-602-6963 and you will get a real person quickly, or chat is also fast. I did it just the other day in your situation. Don't sweat it tonight though because there is nothing else you can do until they open for biz.

which tablet would you guys reccomend around 80-150 bucks?

There is a Galaxy Tab left and I just bought an OEM ETA-P10JBEGSTA charger and cable (Samsung) that's needed for it on Amazon with Prime for under $11 from a seller http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...UTF8&psc=1. I grabbed a Galaxy Tab 2 for $89, sorry lol. But the Tab 1 is ok if you are looking for small, cheap and decent. I think the HTC Flyers are long gone, those were ok little Androids for the price too. There were also a couple Asus TF101-X1 16GB Transformers up for $119 which was a bargain.

Use http://urlhasbeenblocked/ and I also have the Chrome Cowboom Watcher extension which alerts me when they restock. There hasn't been much new in the past little while, you just gotta refresh http://urlhasbeenblocked/ to see if someone dropped something from a cart. There will be more restocking at points in the night and during the day, that's how it usually goes at least.

Also, this deal may interest people looking for an ereader tablet: http://reviews.cnet.com/marketpla...&ttag=e794 It's coming up soon. It's a Kindle refurb from BBY with Geek Squad warranty. Great price on a first gen.

Edit: So the helper site shows a Galaxy Tab in white 16gb right now, has a charger and $99. GT-P1010, can't post the link. :(

make sure, you order Acer A100 with adapter. The original adapter is expensive. The one you get from Ebay/Amazon doesn't fit well.

Flyers are pretty decent. I rooted one for my gf a few months back and it works great. Resolution isn't tip-top, but you can't beat it at that price. It's also heavy.

Knuteski 02-22-2013 05:21 AM

NM on the 3G Ipad...it said iPad 3G...but I Googled the item # and it's a 3G 1st Gen.:vomit:

Playbook, but I'd get the 32gb, the 16gb was $80 at one point, so you could wait for it to drop in price again.

thibble 02-22-2013 06:35 AM

Darn skippy and repp'd. Apple MC764LL/A WiFi + 3G Verizon 64GB iPad 2 - Black $339. Even after ludicrous tax it's still under 400 delivered.

I find that my Gen 1 is pretty slow with all the updates, still works but compared to even the Gen 2 it seems to run backwards

Any recommendations on an inexpensive tablet for my parents to do skype/video chat with? So it needs a front facing camera as well as skype app.
Screen size, other functionality not important.

unrelated to this.....I purchased from cowboom recently the refurb console sale- picked up the Wii console. It said that it would have the remotes and cables. Nothing arrived except the console itself...now i have to hunt around for the rest of it.

bit unsure. this one looks like a good deal though!!

Quick quick question.
When an ipad is locked to a carrier, is it easy, if possible at all, to unlock it? How much? Thanks.

Is it just me or is everything a 4 or 5 nowadays?

There used to be a site that did this however it's been offline or shut down for a few months.
Also when it comes to these "daily deals" you can't sort through them it's buy the one they show you or don't buy it. Unlike when it's not a daily deal & you can look through all the pages.
IDK if it still works but if you open each of your browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera, Google,... and refresh add it to the cart you used to be able to at least see 4+ different versions products.

It's really very subjective unfortunately. One raters 4 should be a 2 or 3 (broken hinges etc. for example). vs another raters 4/5 are better than some raters 5, 6, 7. Wonder if they just post them in the order they were on the pages or if during these daily deals they mostly push 4s & 5s purposefully to thin them down.
They could mitigate SOME of this by providing better than eye squinting photos!

You do know that you can talk to them and ask for some $ back? I did that, and got $17 back when my tablet came, missing charger (said it came with charger on product page).

Call them and ask for some money off. They'll give you a credit based on how much your cables will cost to replace.

You need a decent gpu chip to do smooth video chatting on. So at least an iPad 2, 3, or Nexus 7. Got my folks an iPad 3 and they love the larger size for reading, as well as the ease of use. Plus since everyone else has one, they can ask others how to do things rather than call me up all the time had I bought them a rooted Nook Tablet on the cheap.

if you are ok with the larger 9.7 inch screen, and can find it for$100, I think the Touchpad is still a great tablet! We still use three of them everyday, running CM9. Great screen, great speakers, OC'd to 1.5 ghz, its very good. Just wish it had HDMI and SD card slot.
Might have trouble finding it for 100 but I did just get a 32GB unit for 125 and it is just like new, very happy with it.

JeremiahD 02-22-2013 02:09 PM

picked up the acer iconia 7 inch for $89 and a charger 4 $6. if the tablet comes first can it be charged by usb?

No, I'm quite sure it doesn't charge by usb
but I think you got a slick deal. I was going for that this morning, but it was gone before I got there. A friend had one long ago and I really liked it. a little short on battery life, but for $90...not too shabby.

Thank you for the quick response..

I do have one touchpad already and I like it and as you mentioned it is little big and heavy compare to others but it is well built. I do see them in local craigslist for around 100-125 and I wanted to use a a different tablet so thinking of Galaxy tab or similar one.., but getting a Galaxy tab for 100 seems to be difficult and If I dont get Galaxy tab I might pick touchpad again in the CL.

JeremiahD 02-22-2013 02:16 PM

thats what i was thinking johnnyblades. i used to have a playbook and wasn't big on it. i seen the acer at bestbuy and walmart and even with a few drawbacks it seemed great for under $100 for what i needed it for. hopefully it is in good shape. no scratches on the screen and im happy. dont care about the rest. really wanted a galaxy tab 2 but they had all different galaxy's listed and i couldn't tell what was what that fast as people scooped them up lol

Yes I PM'ed that user. I often get VERY generous partial refunds when a charger or cable is missing. Then I just pick up a cheap cable on eBay or Amazon. The inconvenience is minor and I get my refund quickly. Cowboom is very fair when it comes to mistakes, and the CSRs are quite happy to make things right. They'd also take it back, free shipping of course if you choose.

Galaxy hands down. The Nook isn't in the same category. You can root it, I have done that, but it's got a slower processor by far. Go Galaxy with a real Android O/S. Watch for the 7" tabs to come up. I have seen a few sub $100 on this flash, if you look at my posts earlier.

thats what i was thinking johnnyblades. i used to have a playbook and wasn't big on it. i seen the acer at bestbuy and walmart and even with a few drawbacks it seemed great for under $100 for what i needed it for. hopefully it is in good shape. no scratches on the screen and im happy. dont care about the rest. really wanted a galaxy tab 2 but they had all different galaxy's listed and i couldn't tell what was what that fast as people scooped them up lol

I got the only Tab 2 that was there. But there are plenty of 7" 1's and larger 1s. Take the model # and google to see what it actually is, that is the best way. The Acers are actually ok, I have bought them and you can get a good deal on these flash sales. As always give preference to ones that have the charger, otherwise price out chargers first on eBay and Amazon before you click the purchase button.

Gonna release the one in my cart now.

1st gen for 189, is it worth it? With tech and support changes will it be a good buy? Asking for my own sake not to trash.

Is the 64GB Ipad 2 not a good price?

I think it is a real good price. Already have an Android tablet though and not sure I want an iPad.

So do you estimate the roofs, or actually install them?

Just an FYI:
I got a condition 4 a few weeks ago its an Asus Eee 10" Pad Transformer Tablet with 32GB Memory - It said could have scratches on screen but it had none, looked like new. Have been using it for 3 weeks now no problems. Just bought a charger for cheap from another site, it shipped without one as noted on CowBoom site. I would buy from them again,. You have 30 days to return no charge RMA and they will email you a free return shipping label.
I think that for $169 shipped was not a bad price and works fine for me. ( Note that on the site a side box on the Cowboom site said new customers take $10 off the $169 plus tax price so netted out at $169 shipped tax paid).
