I've been a Gran Turismo fan for a long time, how does this compare?

I wish I could answer that but I've never played gran turismo. If your new to the FORZA franchise I'd recommend you pick up Forza 3 first. You can get the collectors edition with all the dlc for under $20. Well worth it. Same with FORZA 4. 3&4 are more traditional racing while horizon is more free roaming. The online community is huge as well.

IMO totally different, Horizon is more street type racing and cruising around the the town. If you are familiar with Test Drive Unlimited it's like that except on smaller scale. I like it because it's a change from the typical Gran Turismo racetrack format. For 30 bucks for the LCE it's a great buy in my book.

My friend and I played the Forza Horizon demo and thought it was fun for 10 minutes or so. We realized that the free roam driving sucked, mainly because of the lack of traffic, and the cars that do spawn are brain-dead and are no fun to hit.

Never tried Forza so I will give it a shot, Thanks

TIV is $21 base at GameStop right now, so $31.50 with their 50% bonus going on right now (and $33.60 if you're PUR). So you can upgrade to the LE extras for cheap if you don't mind GS credit...

Did you play Forza 3 and/or 4 with a wheel? I have two wheels and neither of them are compatible with Xbox. It really sucks that I'd have to get yet ANOTHER wheel :vomit:

Price up to $36.60

Too bad they never put Forza 4 on sale.

I would like to know this too! (are the wheels necessary/make it easier) I'm completely new to the racing game genre, but after watching some videos of gameplay, I'm really interested in this game. Are the DLC worth it? Is this a good time to bite, even if it went up to $36?

This game is really good. I paid $15 on black Friday for the regular but I haven't boughten any dlc cuz I don't feel like paying for cars twice is worth it, first with ms points then in game credits. The limited basically just has the VIP pass which just came out for $10. So this is a good deal since the game alone is now $40 or so on sale.

Thank you guys for the responses, I appreciate the feedback. I'll have to try the demo out one of these days.
