Made in China. Not sure if it is safe to use. Chemical from it can cause you sick. No kidding !

How are scouring pads in general for cleaning stainless steel pots and pans?

The reviews describe these as "very thin", "doesn't scratch my cook wear", "aren't the roughest scouring pads", "doesn't help to scrub things", "work very well, but only for 1 or 2 uses", "great for wiping off objects but forget scrubbing with them!" and made of Material: Foamed plastic

so if you're worried about them scratching up your pots and pans, sounds like these won't but they probably aren't good for tough jobs.

Don't sound very environmentally friendly if you have to throw them out after 1 or 2 uses.

Almost everything we buy is made in China anyway. Only difference here is that these ship directly from China.
BTW the lead in products from China is primarily in products that are painted.
