There's an ad on the Xbox Live dashboard that says "Duck in for Free Shows".

The next screen says "Duck Dynasty Season 3 Sale + Free Seasons 1 & 2".

Prices haven't changed yet though. I assume they just put the ad up too early.

Looks like the ad was posted just a day early. If you go to your Xbox TV & Movies tab on the dashboard, there should be a large advertisement for it. If not, search, its free now.

Nice, you can stream this to things other than your Xbox, IE computer/Phone.

I'd assume it is permanent since you actually go through the checkout process. I never know with Microsoft since they are huge d-bags some times.

Think it might be a mistake though, so get them while you can.

No price mistake this time. This has been advertised on Xbox Live since yesterday. On your Xbox 360 go to the Xbox Videos section and you can stream or download the episodes from there.

Watched about half the episodes this morning. Very badly scripted but funny if you take into account, we Louisiana boys, don't mind looking stupid, and you can tell they are trying to act that way.

Do you need a Gold account to watch these? My membership expired last week and I haven't bothered to log in and enter my 1 year code yet.

It didn't give me any issues with added them both to my account and checking out.

Well...that's what I meant. I meant "own" as opposed to a rental. Technically not even forever either. If they lose the licensing or they decide one day to shutdown their Xbox Video service, then it will be gone.

True enough. Was going to set my DVR to record "first run and repeats," but not sure if the Verizon FiOS box is smart enough to not record the same episode more than once. Even if it is, not sure I want to burn up space for 2 seasons (28 episodes). Nice to know I can pull it up on the 360 and watch it.

I skipped watching it, thinking it was some redneck version of Jackass, but it's an okay show. Characters are likeable and it's better than some of the other trash that passes as "reality" TV.

I place it in the same category as Storage Wars. I call them Radio TV shows or "tune out TV" - you can have them on in the background while doing other stuff and they won't bother you. If something catches your attention you can rewind...if not, just keep moving.

I guess considering that, it probably isn't worth recording, but the wife recently started watching it, so maybe she'll be happy. Can't beat free!

Not sure who you are talking to but no I didn't buy it for this, I bought it for entertainment. Movies, tv shows, games and music all fall under that heading last time I checked.

And I would hardly call this "reality" TV since they are pretty obvious about not doing anything reality based. This is like the parody version of reality TV.
