Showing $17.49 here

Corwin76 02-26-2013 08:16 AM

Edit: My bad, I assumed since they changed the price on the product page from $9.99 to $17.49 the price had gone up. Should have known better. :O

Ch3apSk8 02-26-2013 08:16 AM

Add to cart to see the $9.99 price.

Wow, that went fast, I'm seeing $17.49 now too. Sears seems to like pulling the rug out from under us on deals today.

I should know better than that. The funny thing, is that it was showing the $9.99 price earlier when you searched and also when you were on the product page and now it's showing the $17.49. I assumed they had raised it when it started showing the $17.49 price...I temporarily forgot the old saying about assuming something. :O

You temporarily forgot Sears has a terrible IT department.

Exactly. That's the most embarrassing thing to forget, since I deal with it so much.

That would be an understatement. All too often on the Sears/Kmart websites, you see an item for one price and you add it to your cart and it is another price. Yesterday I was buying a combination wrench off the Kmart site and as soon as I added to my cart it went up in price, I just said to heck with it. And don't even think about using their SYRW site, very cumbersome.

No wonder this company is losing money right and left. I knew they were saddled with poor locations for the B&M stores, but add on the fact they run a reatil website worse than people did in the 90's. Oh yeah, and the cherry on top is their customer service.

It is a true shame, because they actually have some good products.

Jacklantern 02-26-2013 06:50 PM

it was 7.49 before

wrxtreme 02-26-2013 07:25 PM

Missed this last time, but in for 1 now! Now I don't need my hammer drill, drill & impact when hanging anything on an exterior wall, just a hammer drill and impact!

Medic311 02-26-2013 07:40 PM

used this to install a vanity cabinet to a wall covered in tile. worked great

also drilled into brick masonry to install those solar powered LED motion sensor lights from that FP a few weeks ago

For anybody wondering what makes these bits worth more, they're made from solid tungsten carbide. More than twice as hard as the "high speed steel" most bits are made of, it takes a sharper edge and holds it longer because few materials are hard enough to scratch it. They're not just "high quality" - though they have to be because machining tungsten carbide requires good tooling - the material makes them far superior to your typical drill bit.

todd612 02-26-2013 10:13 PM
