Great game especially the multi player. The revolution map packs are awesome.

tempting...i have MW2 and love it, and rented this one and got a lot more kills on every free-for-all I played even though I was new to the maps. I think it is more fair. While playing MW2 many times i got obliterated by nukes and helicopters, etc....but on black ops 2 I was able to fight more evenly...though I don't have much time to play and thus paying $30 is really not the best idea :(
but in other words, i liked black ops 2 better for multiplayer than MW2 (never played MW3)

The cheapest new I ever recall seeing this was $39.99. Good price. I had it for PS3 and sold it. At $30, I might have been tempted to get back in. But since it's only for the box....

Been waiting awhile for this to hit my $20 price point. Looks like this one may stay relatively high for the foreseeable future.

I don't expect it to go to $20 until at the next CoD game comes out, typically in November...it might even take longer than that.

For example. Modern Warfare 3 came out a year before BO:2 and it is still next to impossible to find for less than $30 new (unless a lot of discounts fall into place -- PM/coupon/etc.).

The reason is because you are playing with the same player with the same lvl(kill and death ratio) as you. BO2 does that as you move up you will start playing with harder players...

This game should be 20 bucks top even new same as game just new story should be an expansion pack ala PC.

That is true. I usually party up in my sister's lobby because her KDR is way lower than mine, which makes me look like a badass at the end of a match. LOL

Back in the days of CoD4, before updates, if the host left the game, the game ended. That was even more annoying.

Anyone think this might be the Nuketown version? I've seen a few Nuketowns at Target and the GoHastings one were Nuketown as well.

Also, was considering buying one and trying to flip the other, but not sure if its worth it. When it first released, I was about to buy it for 37 and flip it for 50, this time around, I'm not even sure if I can get it for 40. I'll probably just buy one for myself. Thanks OP.

Still unimpressed with this game. Maybe MW3 burned me out too much because the gameplay was ridiculous in a bad way. Shotguns anyone? Quick scoping? etc. MW3 was terrible. Original Black Ops was better. This seems to be in between.

That's how it was in the first Black Ops' zombies. Glad they decided to include a 'host migration' in Black Ops 2 zombies. It sucks when you're in high levels then suddenly 'host ended game'. Sometimes the host has a bad connection or just had something else to do that he had to end the game. But boy am I glad they fixed that.

From what I've seen from everybody, MW3 was a deal breaker for many COD players, but for me, it was the opposite. I've enjoyed all the previous COD's except BO. MW3 was what brought me back to COD.

For Multiplayer, this is the best newer COD yet. Its way more polished then MW3 and theres tons of people playing it.
Is it better then COD2 or COD4 ? Depends on what you like. Those 2 are hard to beat. But as far as the newer COD's and MW's, this is the best one. Now its time to figure if I want to splurge for the season pass or just get revolution.

Shotguns? Perhaps you missed the Akimbo 1887s on MW2 [youtube.com]. Insane range (especially pre-nerf). You could dominate games with 'em. The AA12 was deadly too in that you could get off a ton of buckshot in a short period of time.

Quick scoping has been around since MW1. The majority of players hipfired with the M40.

And lets not forget about MLC runners in MW2 as well. Pre-nerf, guys with guns didn't stand a chance against guys with knives unless you were more than 50 feet away.

Black Ops 2 fixes a lot of the problems that plagued the MW games (except COD4). MW, especially 2 and 3, with stacking killstreaks and deathstreaks was just garbage, IMO.

This is a great deal on the best COD game to date.

I bought this last night for 42ish (tax included) from Amazon. Saved me $13 or so since my Amazon order hadn't shipped. Have less buyers regret as well since I swore I would never spend any more money on COD repeats and just stick with Halo (which I personally prefer).
For $30 shipped and no tax, it will be fun to play around on.

not sure that was the only reason. I was a level 1 and others had 20s and 30s. While the lvl may have been the same, I was a brand new player for the system (unless it somehow counted my exp from MW2, which i doubt)
it was a big thing that there were no nukes and other air vehicles or granade lunchers killing me all the time

Did they fix the domination type point system for these COD games.
I mean there are lots of people like me that actually try to play a team based game, and win it FOR THE TEAM.
But the problem is, they don't reward that at all, the opposite.
It's the guys that don't give a damn about winning the team based games and just do the rambo thing and go for kills only. At end of game, all the people that play the objective are all the bottom of ranking and all the guys for 60 seconds see the board that just gives highest kills.
They need to have different point system for the different game modes.
In regular non team based game, yeah go for most kills and get lots of points, but not in team based.
The guy that helped the team out the most should get the most points.
Sorry for the rant, but COD is just for rambo's and not team players at all.
2 modes of points should be done to fix it, TEAM based rating system and option for rambo based rating system.

its not worth $60, but at $30 couldn't pass it up.

Unfortunately this is by far the worst Call of Duty I have ever played.
You will be yelling 'BS' and 'I'm getting screwed' more times than ever. Essentially multiplayer is rigged as it reminds me of progressive slots in casinos. You will be on far one minute, then the next none of your bullets can hit the enemy and you get no scoped by a pistol from 100 yards away.

In for one. 30 bucks for COD shouldn't be pinching me.

hopefully u figured it out by now, but the error it was telling me was that i didn't have a telephone number in the shipping address which was required by newegg... so edit the shipping address and add the telephone number...

got 2 copies, one for me and a buddy. this is a good price on COD games because they usually don't drop much until the newer version comes out. and they retain good trade-in value. i usually trade it in over the summer before the new games are released and i always get around $30/trade-in, so this could be a free rental for several months.

Yeah. I bought mw3 a couple of weeks ago and just went back to my favorite BF3. It was fun, but BF3 has it all, jets, heli's, tanks, etc and at least some people actually play the game as a team.
Both games still need to reward team based players more, and adjust the point system for each game mode.
In fact, there should be no player that gets higher points on the losing team, than the winning team. That would give incentive to PLAY TO WIN. :)
I love battling over positions, I'm on some teams where our team gets all the positions, and the other team doesn't even once try to go for it, like "going for a, or going for b, etc." , it's silent, all the guys are in the hills with their scopes. It's frustrating, you need to have both teams trying to "win" to make the game interesting. When one team doesn't even try, it's frustrating even for the winning team.
These games could be great if they adjusted the point system. Imagine playing on a team with 6 guys trying to win the GAME. It would be nice experience. :)
I may pick up this game, and my hopes aren't too high.

p.s. It isn't people's fault for not trying to win the obective games, it's the developers fault, they are the ones making it more REWARDING to not play the game to win. All the guys not playing to win, get top spots and get the kill streak points, and the poor guy trying to hold the positions gets crap, and you are easy target for the snipers, because they know the "real" players are gonna be at position A,B or C. Easy kills.
Is it that game developers did research and found hardly anyone is interested in going for the bases, only the suckers, that is what gives the rambo's the high kill ratio's on those maps. Who knows, but it sure is frustrating. ;)

Call of Duty games are too risky. Anyone who plays them regularly knows that they go on sale often for $30. BO2 is a little bit different in their timing, but it's just a matter of when, not if.
