PlayStation Network: $10 Back For Every $50 Spent
2 Attachment(s)
PlayStation Network is offering $10 Back For Every $50 Spent throughout their online store using your SEN Wallet. Offer valid now until the end of March 2013 for PSN purchases. Thanks DJ3xclusive
Note, refer to this page for Terms & Conditions |
I assume the 49.99 one year ps plus renewal will not be enough to qualify for the promotion?
|
Quote:
These two promotions ($10 back and 15 months of ps+) overlap until 3/4 |

Thanks and rep!! I'm glad I waited until today to do my playstation plus. Time to set it up when I get home.
edit: hah, I can't rep you because I already did early for the 3ds games you posted. Well... TY anyway! |

Not bad 15 months of PS Plus for $40. 3 month free promotion stacks they said. Whoever bought it before Feb 26th is out of luck LOL!
|
Hmm, might finally bite. Didn't want to subscribe until I could beat regular price. Still mad I missed out on other promotions though...
|
They've finally got me. 3 extra months + $10 back. I'm going PLUS even though I won't be gaming much for the next 3 months, lol.
|
Just to clarify, so you have to put money in your wallet first then make the purchase, correct?
I'll be looking for a cheap filler (0.99 cent avatar) and add an extra 15 months of PSN for 50ish :D That or just buy the game I was going to buy that comes on sale tonight, Unit 13. Decisions Decisions. I wish Critter Crunch was still on sale for like 2 bucks haha. EDIT: For current PS+ members, RE: Code Veronica X Avatar bundle is 0.49 cents: https://store.sonyentertainmentne...0000000001 or Okami: https://store.sonyentertainmentne...0000000001 |

The $10 credit they sent me + this basically makes 15 months of PS+ $30. :D

You KNOW PS+ will still work with PS4 - likely, they'll even have some PS4 content on there, free within a short period, just like the Vita at Thanksgiving. Or - do you want your PS3 games to work on the PS4? Really doubt that would work - it might, but don't count on it. I know I went from PSP to PSVita with no change at all in my Plus account. If they port games you already "own" over to PS4, then you should be able to just download again in PS4 format....at least, that's how it worked with the Vita. I was able to take PSP content I'd already purchased and just redownload to the Vita. Not saying they CAN'T screw it up - but up til now, everything has worked in the gamer's favor. |
Damn!! should of waited to get the black ops2 DLC, no point buying it last year when the new maps aren't even out until later this week.
|
Wish there was a similar offer on jpn psn
want to pick up the new atelier in japanese |
Just joining the PS3 family so please excuse my ignorance.
Yesterday I grabbed the 500gb PS3, 1 mo. PS+ and ACIII bundle. If I use the included 1 month free of PS+ immediately and buy the 12 months before 3/4 to get the 3 months also. Does it all get tacked on to an account for 16 total months? Sent from the official Slickdeals App for iPhone & iPod Touch. |

was looking for ps+ deals yesterday, glad i saw this today. thanks! got uncharted golden abyss for 20 on sony's ebay page only to realize its free on ps+ lol. Gonna return or sell it

The difference in offerings for EU & US Plus is staggering. Mine just expired and I'm not going to renew even though I have a one year voucher paid for. If anything, I'd seriously consider going with EU's superior service.
Febuary for Europe PS Plus: (Motorstorm Apocalypse and Vanquish already in IGC) 6th February: Sleeping Dogs 6th February: Quantum Conundrum 6th February: F1 Race Stars 13th February: WipEout 2048 20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony March for Europe PS Plus: 6th March: Mass Effect 3 6th March: Dead or Alive 5 6th March: Joe Danger 2 13th March: Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (VITA) 20th March: Puddle We've gotten Plants Vs Zombies, Vanquish, Closure and other games I can't be bothered to remember. Check out blog.us.playstation.com and the link for eu is at the top as well (or just replace us with eu). |
So pissed. Renewed my PS+ membership yesterday so it won't count.

Can we use this to buy the black ops season pass

I can't believe this made frontpage.

None of the psn digital downloads will automatically work with ps4. Sony is working on "streaming" games, which could possibly allow you to stream the games you've already bought without having to pay any extra, but there has been no word on when that service will be available or how many games will be streamable. But as far as just buying a ps4 and being able to download the stuff that you've already bought, NO you will not be able to. Sony already came out and said so. So be careful about how much stuff you buy |
Quote:
That's actually what i am thinking of doing too, so it would be nice to know for sure, but it sounds like any purchase through psn will work |
I'm a bit leery of the bonus PS+ extension considering they announced the PS4 just this week.
My thought is that either This will turn out to be super sweet (Sony has been known to be the more generous of the three console makers in the online arena, it seems), or I'm gonna regret making that long of a PS+ commitment... Guess I have until 3/4 to decide if I wanna take this gamble. I mean, they certainly didn't HAVE to let me have PS+ on my Vita with free downloadable a, but they did. |
Quote:

Quote:
Ps3 games (including digital downloads) will not work on the ps4, but there is no reason to think that the ps4 won't have ps+ quickly. So the games that you dowload NOW will not be compatible with ps4, but the games they release on PSN for the ps4 will work on the ps4 (obviously). So all that will happen is that part of your membership will help you with ps3, and then after ps4 comes out it will help you with ps4 (after a while, i doubt they give free ps4 games out right away). Sony is not going to screw its customers out of money by saying, "Sorry, we don't have ps+ anymore so you're out of luck". PS+ will be around for ps4, it just that ps3 will only be compatible with ps3, and ps4 will only be compatible with ps4 |
Quote:
Regarding the deal, I'll probably get another 15 months of PS+ even though I'm good through December 2015 from the $40 deal a couple weeks ago. |
Yay, $10 back on $50 spent....too bad you won't be able to play any of your $100's of dollars of PSN purchases on the PS4. Damn you, Sony. Yes, I'm sour.
|
What happens if buy 5 things for $9.99 that's $49.95 hopefully will qualify
I got $60 worth of playstation network cards from best buy facebook polls over last month. |
I should have waited in buying black ops II season pass.
I wish I would have gotten in on the $15 for 1 year ps+ deal at target last year. Sent from the official Slickdeals App for iPhone & iPod Touch. |
Why is everyone acting like the minute the PS4 comes out, they are going to throw their PS3 in the trash? I'm keeping my 3 around for years if I can't play all my stuff on the 4.
|
Bah, I signed up for the 15 months of ps+ like 2 days ago . . . oh well

What makes you guys so sure $49.99 would qualify for the $10? I know Pierre said "$49.99 will cut it. No Worries." in the blog, but who is Pierre? I'm looking at getting Black Ops 2 Season Pass...
|
Figures, I had $60 to spend the other day in rewards on my sonycard and my purchase already shipped :/ Ended up getting the psp battery pack thing for $30, and I am too cheap to spend my own $20 on psn lol. :/
I also have like 3 years of ps+ thanks to the target deal in late 2011 |
"The promotion code (“Code”) is good for one qualifying PSN account to redeem the SEN wallet Top Up via the PlayStation®Store."
Do we have to enter the word "Code" anywhere? |

Picked up Walking Dead for $7.50 last night so still have a ways to go to reach $50. Jumped on that $40/year ps plus deal posted here a week or two ago. Same difference, I guess.

Is the membership purchase through amazon? It keeps on linking me to the amazon site. |

Personally I purchased a $50 online code instead of buying PS plus online code. So basically $39.99 for 15 months of PS plus! |
It works for ANYTHING you buy in the psn store. Games/music/movies/ dlc/minis/ps1-2/avatars/themes.....

I know some rep said $49.99 would "cut it", but that's not what the T&C says so i would add a filler just to be safe. |

I just bought the Black Ops 2 DLC Season Pass on the 24th. That really sucks that it was just 2 days before this went active. It bugged me enough to call and see if they would honor it because it was so close to the start date, but no go. I was informed that I can spend another $50 right now and I would get the $10 credit. lol. A lot of good that will do me now.

I'll probably wind up renewing my PS+ subscription with this and get the extra 3 months. Glad I waited! :) Thanks OP!

If you bought a game on PSN and sony makes that game available for streaming on PS4 then hopefully gamers would not have to re-purchase the right to stream the game that they already bought on PSN previously, Hopefully the option to "download/stream" will be listed on the PSN store for these games. While downloading our old PS3games wouldnt work on PS4 the stream option would work (sometime in the future when/if sony ever actually gets streaming to work properly) |
Doh, already bought the PS Plus membership. Still, great deal. Guess I'll lurk and see if there's anything I want sometime next month.

if you need filler (something you might actually play/use and not a random avatar)
retro/grade is currently on sale for $2.44 for psn+ or you can just buy psn+ for $40 on ebay but probably better to get it on psn instead to get the 3 extra months |
Quote:
|
I would have made a killing had I known this 1-3 months ago. I basically bought everything I want from the Playstation store.
|
Sorry is this has been answered already, but I didn't see it while glancing through the first few pages.
Do I have to make 1 checkout to equal $50, or is it $50 between now and April? |
Both the blog and T&C do not mention that $50 needs to be spent in the same transaction so I think it is accumulative.
Quote:
|
When will they send the $10 codes? I already spent over 50 today.
Found it, codes to be sent by april 12th |
how do you add the PSN 1 year sub to your cart? everytime I go to buy it, it wants to check out right away?
or am I missing something obvious? nevermind, found on another site: + Pierre Gravereau on February 26th, 2013 at 9:45 am said: $49.99 will cut it. No worries. |
Love how they make all the DLC's $9.99 so if you buy 5 of them that is 49.95 and won't cut it.
|
Guys, I have very low reading comprehension skills so I'd like to ask if buying a $ 50 PSN code from Amazon and using that would qualify for the promo?
|
Quote:
|
the money must be spent on the psn store, no where else

Quote:
40/12 = x/15 --> x = 49.9999999999999.... The ebay route is less expensive by $0.00999999... |

that's what I'm going to do anyway as Amazon feels safer. |
Quote:
|
What's up with the PSN deals lately? Preparing people for the PS4? So they can pay $80 a game? lol
|
Quote:
You make good money trolling, or is trolling just a hobby? Sony already said game prices are capped at $59.99. Troll harder next time |
I'm on the fence on this. I've had PS+ for four months (1 free trial month + 3 month renewal) and it just expired. I really didn't get all that much use out of it, since my hard drive is pretty much full from previous game purchases and installs which I have yet to beat so I can't delete and clear it out.
If you're someone like me with a HUGE backlog of accumulated games already and don't have all that much time to play due to real life responsibilities, PS+ may not be worth it for you. Then again, I do have a couple of Best Buy gift certificates from their Facebook polls so I am tempted to use them to purchase PSN cards and redeem them for this promotion + the 3 bonus months....HMMM choices choices. |
Quote:
I'd use the rewards certificates to get disc games from BB. I bought used ps3 games from bb a couple of times before, and disc quality is usually very good. |
How about $50 dollars back for every $50 not spent?

is there a way to check how much you've spent so far?
edit - nevermind, i just check my email receipts. $29.12 spent so far, $20.88 to go. i know sine mora is supposed to go on sale this month for $5, so that leaves me with around $16 more to go, and i don't think any other game i'm interested in is going on sale this month besides that one. gonna have to buy a non-sale game. |
Quote:

Any word on whether the $10 credit expires at some point? Sony tends to pull that trick with their rewards card bonus's...
|
I just got my $10 credit in the email today. It's a prepaid card code.
|
I also got my code today. It's prepaid code and you redeem it just like redeeming a psn card
