19.2oz M&M's Chocolate Candy (Peanut or Plain) $3 + Free Store Pickup

2 Attachment(s)
Staples has 19.2 oz bags of M&M's for clearance for $2.90, plain or peanut. Free ship to store or free shipping for Premier members. Or buy 16 bags to get free shipping on orders over $45.
http://www.staples.com/MMs-Peanut...t_SS733915

Be warned - there's a reason these are on clearance. I bought a few bags last week at the $3.90 price point and the expiration date on all are April 2013.

Also, check your coupon wallets, as there are often coupons for breakroom purchases - $10 off 30, or free Twizzlers with purchase, etc.

try the coupons.com coupon on page 2 of this thread to see if can stack

treMMor 02-26-2013 06:30 PM

Nice, I was going to post this as I too just noticed they lowered the price since yesterday. Yesterday I ordered along w/ the HM cases @ $3.90 and today did the same and saw the price difference.

Rawimpact 02-26-2013 06:35 PM

maybe use the office depot 30% coupon on these? make it even slicker.

Yeah, I used these as filler for an order last week. Planning out an order and looked these up as potential filler again and saw the price drop. Figured it was low enough to be a SD now

Funny you say that. I thought about ordering via kiosk tomorrow morning and trying the 20% off. Not sure it will work because it is an "online only" item. Doesn't hurt to try though...

ToadKilla 02-26-2013 06:59 PM

I bought 9 :-s with 5/25 Q and rewards :-s not sure why.

This is good if you have any coupons otherwise costco have a comparable price.

I don't think costco posts the in store price online, but sam's club does and it works out to about 18 cents an ounce for plain, 30 cents an ounce for peanut...

Not sure if that's normal for them to be priced differently, but that seems like a very good deal for peanut m&ms...

brought 21 bags, $60.90 - $20 breakroom coupon - $40 monthly ink recycle + free twisters = $0.90

my cost after coupon (before rewards) is 40.90/21 bags = $1.95 per bag.

sweet!

This gave me free shipping on 2 bags. Anyone know how I got that?

chris83190 02-26-2013 07:57 PM

i think im going to skip on this. good for those who can get it in store.
i can goto the store but its a 20 min drive
and their packaging when shipping is terrible. Its just a plastic bag.
My logitech MX mouse came crushed. My WD drives came crushed. All because they keep using plastic bags with NO padding.

I have the same issue. It started about a month ago. I finally called staples web support for help and was told its a bug that affects only a small portion of the web users and it will be fixed in March.

dealbaker 02-26-2013 11:36 PM

Given the reported, impending expiration date of April 2013 I opted for only plain M&Ms in my order. For those ordering in quantity to get free-to-home shipping, nuts are more likely to go bad more quickly after expiration than is chocolate. At least that's my experience.

If you have the target $1.50/2 coupon you can stack with the manufacture coupon. Target price matches publix and publix will take target coupons if it has a grocery side.

I've gotten these for $2.14 at UltraFoods near my house in clearance post-valentines day. They had peanut-butter M&Ms which are my favorite. I think most grocers discount heavily post-any-holiday its just a matter of scouring the stores.

Best thing to do is take a bowl, add equal parts regular, peanut, and peanut butter... Mix and take handfuls at a time... Greatness and reps are welcome for this tip.

goirish 02-27-2013 12:42 PM

This is hardly worthy of front page status, but since it is Staples I understand why SD is promoting it.

The very same 19.2oz bags are 2 for $4.89 at Publix this week and can be had for as low as $0.95 a bag after coupons.

I also got the regular sized bags for $1 each w/ coupons at CVS a few weeks ago.

esjay 02-27-2013 12:55 PM

While online, Costco's price is around $13, in store it is around $8.50 for a large bag. I thought it was the XXL bag, which is 52 oz but it appears they only list the 42 oz bag on site and that probably follows in store.

However, I had never been in a Big Lots before the other day and noticed that they carry the XXL 52 oz. bag for $8.00 flat That works out to $0.0028 per oz difference than this Staples deal, and it's their normal price.

So, if you have a Big Lots nearby, you may not have to rush to Staples for this price per oz.

Uh, like they need to be eating chocolate candies? How bout they just stick to gummy bears like the rest of the pussies and we will stick to peanut M&M's like ADULTS.

jjj444yes 02-27-2013 01:14 PM

these are on clearance for a reason... and it's been this price for a while

the bags I just got in last week have an expiration dates of 4/2013 (not an issue for most SD'rs,<insert fat joke here>)

and about a 1/4 to 1/5 of the M&M's are cracked in half... (again, not an issue for most SD'rs,<insert 2nd fat joke here>)

Strange. You should try the ones we get. All of my M&Ms have Es, 3s, or Ws printed on them. Might just be a regional thing, though.
