I was in picking up some of the totes and was circling the store, and came across these shelving units. These were originally priced at $59.97, and now priced at $14. I picked up the last 2 at my store.

These shelfs are 24"X18"74.5", and are the wire chrome. See the attached photo for the photo of the shelf. Receipt is also attached.

I haven't put it together yet, as I just got home with them. It states that each shelf can hold 350 lbs, so on a 18"X24" shelf, that really shouldn't be an issue.

Looks pretty nice from the picture. It says 1750 max weight... so about 350 lbs per shelf.

As long as you obey that, you should be fine.

At $14 on clearance... seems like a pretty good deal.

It's usually fairly accurate, especially on larger items like this.

Small things like batteries are notoriously off. One time the inventory checker said they had like 244 packs of Duracell batteries that were nowhere to be found. :lmao:

Wish I had seen this thread earlier. Hopefully the inventory tracker is accurate and it's still available tomorrow.

If these are the steel rod assembly type then oh yeah most def.

The 74" pieces are really 2x ~3 foot rods you twist together and the shelves are about 3-4 feet long so easily doable in any type of car (trunk/backseat)

I don't know but think since it's out of stock in so many places they must have been cheap

I have about 5 of these that I got 4 or 5 years ago, they're excellent. I load them up like crazy and have had zero problems. I paid around $15-$20 for them at the time, I don't know how the price got up to $60 for them over the years, that's absurd.

The Chinese took over the world and took all of the world's steel. That's why it got up to $60.

HD and Lowes usually get repackaged/rebranded items in pretty often and they will put the leftover old stock on clearance.

It's not really OOS because a bunch of people flocked the stores, they were just cleaning up a few they had left. ALTHOUGH, some stores can have massive quantities, most will be OOS.

I tried to get on the $2 rubbermaid tote deal, store 30min away had 20. Showed up, not a single person found them (including looking on the tops of isles).

You wil have no problems getting this in you little car. I have a smart car, and could easily get two in the back.

Got the shelves. They were not on the floor just like the totes. On an upper shelf.

Even though the Inventory Checker says there's one available at the LA, Sunset store (6616), their internal system shows them to be completely sold out.

Aww. Ahole lady bought all four that was left when I got there. They were getting them down for her even though I found them in the aisle. Didn't know you can just go pay at the front before even finding them.

i grabbed the last two at the Home Depot in the City of Industry.

Got one. two of stores close to me showed 4 each. I went down to one and lady checked stock, showed 4. dumass called the FLOORING DEPT and sure enough, they could find one. She went on to calling other store to see if they could hold it for me..sure enough, they didn't find any either lol. just got one ..still a good deal.

OOS at every store around me. Darn.

called 2 stores to confirm inventory showing on internet but neither could. One clerk said maybe they were put somewhere "up" and to call again at 2 for manager of the section. I just went to the store, but then didn't have item sku and had to figure how to retrieve it on my new to me iphone...after different attempts got the sku and went to the dept and -wow, there 3 were just sitting with the others. Had $30 clearance tags but at register each came up as $14 plus CT tax. After all that work decided to take all 3 but probably only need 2. Really a slickdeal. Thanks op. Moral: trust online inventory checker more than the store clerks.

Inventory checker showed 2 before I went to store. But I found and bought 3. It became OOS in inventory checker immediately! Though at the bottom it says data was updated as of last night.

i bought the last 4 from my HD, and they fit in my 2000 Toyota Camry, if that helps.

Fit 3 in the back of Civic easily. Should be able to fit 5 if you don't mind driving with half blocked rear view. Used $10 off $50 Lowe's coupon in another thread too. Should be national pricing. Great deal!

the only ones in stock were 40 miles away, my parents live right by that store and they had 4 left. My dad picked them up for me right at closing. Thanks OP! It was exactly what I was looking for.

Just picked up 4 at the Alhambra, CA store. Had to wait for an employee with a forklift to bring the pallet down. They had 5, so still one more left.

NM. I figured out my store number. They're OOS.

I am really hoping that they were the last 4 after I had purchased mine and scheduled to pick up later. I was at the store at 8 and they were 8 units up on the top shelf wrapped and I didn't have 30 minutes for them to take them down. I paid for 4 on the spot and was assured they would be ready for pickup later

Scored four today at the DeZavala store in San Antonio. They were on the upper shelves above the other shelf units that were displayed. The sku number is really large on the box so it should be easy to see.

Local HD showed 3 in stock,called to verify (I know never call) and after about 15 minute wait while they searched they returned with their inventory must be wrong. Got in truck drove over(not far) walked down aisle where supposed to be stocked looked up and 3 there on side where HDX label not visible but SKU was on brown end of box, complained to MGR,Got all 3 otd FOR $30, helps to go look around as these were there just layed on their back and hard to distinquish from other boxes,Thanks OP

thanks op for posting this, I used the inventory checker and it showed there was 1 left out of all the stores, and it happened to be the one right next to my house! I called them to put on hold and to double check inventory and found there was 2 of them, so I got lucky and got an extra one. :)

Checker said one in stock and was able to hunt it down in the store. It was way up on the top shelf, he had to get the ladder thing to get it down. Wish they had more but glad I could scoop up the one. Thanks OP!

Assembly help anyone!? I didn't see the tapered sleeves in mine.. saw these clear plastic cap things (40 of them)... am I missing something?

There should be 5 separate small bags containing 4 pairs per bag, plus 1 spare pair. The clear plastic caps are not used and can be thrown away.

3 Available in Danvers according to inventory checker. Went to store, inhouse sku is $0'd out. Meaning that they did clearance between the time of the OP's post and me checking for it on Friday. They threw them away............................................

Those plastic caps should have been protecting the posts from damage to the exposed ends of the 'tubes'. Sounds like someone got into yours and 'forgot' to repackage the black half-sleeve clips. They are likely interchangeable with other makes/models if it comes to that.

Yes it's STILL on clearance nationally, if your store wants to clearance it.


So even though YMMV, it seems the deal is widespread. You can always call and price check.

The problem being for a lot of people is that Home Depot just did major inventory the last 2 weeks and most stores either returned to vendor or trashed these off the shelves already. Almost all systems have this item zeroed out in their inventory.

So it's YMMV with a bucket of luck that you go to a store that's a bit lazy with the return/trash it portion of their inventory duties.

OP - Thanks and rep'ed. Snagged the last 2 at the Mahwah NJ store. Were marked down to $.01 and CSR said no longer stocked. Found 2 in the upper - middle shelf. Sold to me at 2 for $14. Great CSR - hope his Mgr isn't reading this...
