Yea, the shipping sucks... (I'm not even sure about the quality of the adapter O_o) Not worth it without Prime
Got one with the last day of my prime membership. Reviews look good - good for backup anyway.
got 1 for the nth desktop yet to be built.
Got 2
Thanks, in for 2 :). Next thing I need is some dual band adapters for $6
Is this mainly intended for use with 8-10 year old computers that were not "n" enabled? Just curious why people would need such a product.

I don't like wireless N adapters they will never be as reliable as a PCI wireless N card. Check reviews, I've never seen a wireless N adapter review without people saying that their PCI card received better wireless range or that this new adapter doesn't have the speed or range of their card. |
Thanks OP!! I was looking for one of these yesterday but didn't like the deals available, this one will do!
If it were 5ghz rather than 2.4ghz i would bite, but 2.4ghz is saturated signal to noise wise where I live. Still TU for those that need a 2.4ghz n adapter.
Does anyone know is this does packet injection?

Most Windows-Based networking programs go through the MS networking protocol, meaning no matter what device; wired or wireless should work without issue. On Linux you might have some difficulty, you'd only need to scan for the adapter and make sure your program is using it. |

Good price, but if anyone lives in a wireless-congested area, I recommend getting a 5Ghz adapter instead. I had to buy a second adapter myself because the the first one I bought only worked at 2.4 Ghz and the signal was so bad that I couldn't get my full internet speed (50mbps down).
(of course you need a 5Ghz router for this to make a difference) |
got one for back up
Anyone know if this would work with Rasperry Pi? I assume not since no mention of Linux drivers.
in for 1. thank you.
Thanks OP, in 4 2 (not sure why...)
got one, hopefully it works with my raspberry pi

yup, bought one and not sure why... I guess I could replace my current desktop usb N but there really isn't a point. My current one may only be 150 but its not like my internet is faster than that anyways but eh why not upgrade to one with 300 Mbps just for the hell of it :/

Found a linux driver at their homepage, so cross my fingers and hope it will work :bounce: http://support.kinivo.com/custome...-downloads |
Thanks! Been looking to upgrade the old 150 one i've had for a while since it has become flaky
Cool! Just ordered one as a backup too.
Anyone know how this compares to the Cisco AM10?
Nice! Be glad to upgrade one of my spare PCs from a G-stick to an N-stick.
Thanks! Got 2.
This thing is very LARGE an obtrusive. If you want a WIFI adapter for a laptop (or any portable device) go for a mini one on eBay for $5. They are all based on RealTek, Atheros, or Ralink chipsets anyway.
regular price: $44.95? Am I missing something other than its not 5ghz?
Sales Tax sucks.
I bought one but I have no idea why.
In for 1 and repped!

If you want to get a Wireless adapter for Pi, you can get this one from Amazon. According to the review, it works perfectly. Linky for EDIMAX 7811Un Wireless Nano USB Adapter [amazon.com] |

Got mine today. Connected with out any issues in windows 8, range looks similar to cheap Tenda PCI card I have. Perfect for backup accessory
