I only saw posts for this from a couple days ago, this is new as of today I believe.

This camera always seems to be a hit when it comes up less than $70. Amazon currently has the white version for $69.99 + free shipping with prime. The black version is still the full $89.99 price, but if you can deal with the white, it is a great deal.

Do you think it is a hot deal if it is coming at this price once in every week. if yes . Then this is hot.

could be 10 or more bucks less to entice mass hoarding / selling out. I honestly dont think its slick enough to buy unless it drops $10-$20 you want a slickdeal then wait and be happy when it shows up :). to me $70 is the going price it needs to drop more to make it a deal.

meh, was a FP deal at $70 a week and a half ago.

My neighbor just bought (after seeing mine) some a couple days ago at $89, and is buying 2 more at this price now. So, for some people, this is a great deal.

I bought two of these and returned them right after setting one up.

Main reasons: bad tech support and no capability to connect with mobile hotspot. I could not find successful attempts either. Check their forum too. There are many unanswered questions about initial setup.

Google "Webcam as Security Camera". That just serves what I want and saves me $$$.

^I can't find my wireless network on mine either. However, if you just manual enter the SSID it connects immediately.

Can we agree that $70 is now the regular street price since we can find it at this price point from multiple sellers each week?

How does this cam compare to dropcam? $149 for the Dropcam, so a big price difference.

By spec it's similar to the Foscam FI9821 who's street price is in the same price range.
Setup is suppose to be easier.

Which setup is easier? The Dropcam was ready to go in 5 minutes. I can also log into dropcam.com and share with my employees. Does Foscam do the same?

Dead, price went back up to $80-85

The dropcam setup appears to be easier, but lacks true pan/tilt/zoom, and the cloud DVR monitoring is excessively pricey.($10/mo first cam, $5/cam ea. add.)

Can you login into the Foscam site and view the cam like the dropcam? I'm not so interested in a DVR function, but would like to view online and get alerts if possible.

Dropcam is expensive and not that good. I don't like pay for the online storage, it's slow and consume lots of my uploading/downloading bandwidth.

I just read a review complaining about how much bandwidth the Dropcam uses. Does the Foscam not do the same? I want to view online with my mac for business. How does Foscam differentiate from Dropcam in this area? Not sure I'd need a cloud/dvr, just live viewing. What are the storage options with Foscam? Tempting at this price. A lot of steup complaints though.
