Note: It may be 14 hours, but the reason it is 300+ tracks is because they break up some songs into <1min parts

AdamB15 02-27-2013 01:51 PM

Holy shit, this is the first I've heard of these big boxes.

270 songs in the christmas one, and they really only sell for 9 bucks?

Why do they do that?

One of Amazon's less endearing marketing ploys, it makes you "feel" you're getting lots of value IMHO. Sadly, they could also be more listenable for people who are vaguely curious about classical music, and consider a 5 minute song "long." :shake:

This is a family site. Please don't use the S word, the F word, the C word, the N word, the M word, or the other words.

RavenSEAL 02-27-2013 02:18 PM

I can't handle that much Handel.

joesixpack 02-27-2013 02:24 PM

They also have the Big Mozart Box for $0.99 again - http://slickdeals.net/f/5877284-Big-Mozart-Box-0-99-on-Amazon-again

CheapBastardX10 02-27-2013 02:35 PM

Bought the Handel 100 Supreme Masters last year for the same price. This would have been better. However, 100 songs is more than enough for me to handle for any composer, no matter how great as I already have Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussey, and a whole bunch of other famous composers, 100 songs from each.

A family site? Where did you get that? Next time there is a deal on condoms go read the comments, lol. I don't know any parents that go on this site with their little ones to read the comments

Never been too big a fan of Handel. Not sure why though. Maybe I don't like opera.

Midget. Not only do height-challenged folks hate it, but tall people hate it too. I'd personally prefer vertically retarded, but I've gotten negative feedback on that one when I say it in public.

Also, this isn't a family site, not that we should toss around curse words ad infinitum. But there is a reason why the word shit passes the filters and the F-word gets replaced with fark.

So if I can't use any word that starts with any letter in the alphabet, I might as well not speak at all. Look at you, such a hypocrite. You are using the P word, the D word, the F word, the S word in your sentence. Shame on you. We have adults on this site. :D

I wish it was a bit cleaner on here. So much of the inappropriate comments are just unnecessary or inconsiderate to others.

They hardly serve a purpose to those who are looking/researching/posting/reading/discussing the great deals here at SD.

There are ways to filter "bad" words if they wanted to filter them. Clearly, they don't... or they have poor coders. I'm so tired of being censored because stuffy old farts get offended.

Edit: Plus, it's annoying that I can't figure out what the M word is.

Well, in my family we don't drink, and don't like to see references to alcoholic beverages, so please change your name, don't use anything that may be confused with distilled or fermented spirits.

Chopin
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov
Monteverdi

Thank you. I agree... Let's keep it clean and respectful people so everyone can enjoy this great site. There is no reason anyone needs to post offensive words or comments - this is a deals site after all, and yes, younger and older people (and even 20-somethings) who don't care to be offended are part of this site too.

In his later years, Handel's breasts were bigger than Katy Perry's.

I thought it might be MILF - as the term you linked I count as the "F" word with a prefix. It's not that MILF per se is too objectionable when used as a statement of affection, and intent, to your spouse for when the children get to bed. The problem comes when you whisper in her ear, your nine year old with much better hearing than you think overhears it, and asks it her most obnoxious voice "Daddy, what does MILF mean." Then your spouse looks at you and mutters to you "You said, you explain it." So with aforementioned contretemps still fresh in my mind - I was guessing MILF. :nono:

Agreed, there's enough blatant cursing online. Humor and deals is where it's at here at SD.

stettin 02-28-2013 06:04 AM

Damnit, this brings me to almost 1,200 classical tracks in my cloud player. I've listened to maybe 1% of them so far.
