Printing pictures from camera instantly

hey SD'ers wanted to see if can tap immense knowledge here....

i wont go into why it's needs to be done (work reasons).

Has anyone heard/seen a digital camera that will print instantly to a printer?

Scenario....camera attached to printer (via usb or whatever), camera takes picture, automatically prints the picture that was just taken....

anyone?

closest that I can think of would be to have an eye-fi card send the picture to something like a laptop, and then have a script on the laptop automatically print whenever a picture gets added to the eye-fi directory that stores the pictures - might be able to do this on a smartphone as well

alternatively, you might be able to find a Polaroid camera

Actually Polaroid does have a digital camera that will do this:

there are several makes and models of digital cameras with built in printers.

Though not quite automatic, many camera's/pritners support pictbridge and have a print/share button you can use to mark photos and then print them directly from the camera.

yeah, from what i understand, with picbridge, you have to turn off the camera...plug it in then select pics.

You have to manually select them, but you can connect the camera directly to the printer.

Some combination of an Eye-Fi card or camera with built in wifi and some additional software is probably your best bet.
