how is MOH Multiplayer?

OmnificOne 03-02-2013 07:18 AM

FYI, the code does apply to MOH: Warfighter.

FalconX 03-02-2013 07:19 AM

abbazaba14 03-02-2013 07:35 AM

Not good but ok. The game is great itself including the online aspect but unfortunately there is hardly anyone to play with. I never see more than 20 to 30 people playing online. So most of the online matches are half empty. Otherwise it would of been great.

Coyotezeye 03-02-2013 08:15 AM

I actually really enjoy MOH:WAR. Yes there can be some spawn killing. But there are different game modes some move the spawns to the complete other side of the map so its tougher to spawn camp. Game is dying though :( But there are a handful of servers that are regularly full. The game of choice seems to be the objective ones (Hotspot & Combat Mission).

I would like to get the Survival Edition but so far only steam has it.

cjhatesu 03-02-2013 09:16 AM

Thanks! I hear Postal III is horrible, but meh I have fond memories of playing Postal II. At $3 I'll bite to experience this horrible game.

My thoughts exactly. Postal II was just fun to run around and burn people in. :D

maslo1nsk 03-03-2013 06:47 AM

Yep! Bought Postal 3, for 3 $ you can go wrong. Thanks.

ChildishDad28 03-03-2013 07:09 AM

In for Postal 3!

adas 03-03-2013 07:37 AM

Is this Alan Wake complete?

gossipninja 03-03-2013 08:03 AM

sure ill give warfighter a shot, hope the zerodarkthirty maps go cheap soon

EarthBoundX5 03-03-2013 08:28 AM

Postal III activates with Steam, fyi...

ohiwastedmylif 03-03-2013 08:55 AM

The MOH isn't even the limited edition version. Seems kinda pricey for reg version.

youra6 03-03-2013 09:05 AM

Postal 3 was so bad, even one the developers said to stay away from it.

adas 03-03-2013 09:11 AM

I was going to buy Postal 3 but the average review score is 24!!!! Think I better keep my $3.

SouthernFried 03-03-2013 10:05 AM

In for Medal of Honor Warfighter. Been waiting for this game to come down.

slickabc123 03-03-2013 10:27 AM

MOH Warfighter sucks bad. Single player is forgettable and boring. Multiplayer was half finished when it first came out and was active for a few weeks but now the servers are dead. I have not seen such a hugely promoted game drop off so fast. That certainly says something.

Even though it's built off Frostbite 2, there's no destruction. It doesn't help that there are stupid gameplay decisions like in combat mission, if you're at the front lines when they take the objective you get stuck out of bounds and die. They force you to retreat which prevents the defenders from pushing back.

motaku96 03-03-2013 11:26 AM

Damn, bought MoH last week for $15. Should've waited a little longer seeing as I hardly touched it.

Cryo 03-03-2013 11:33 AM

Even at $3, Postal 3 doesn't look like a compelling deal. You know there must be something wrong when the game's aggregate score is 24 [], based on 20 reviews. To put that in perspective, this game places in the bottom 0.5 percentile, meaning that 99.5% of PC games have been considered better by reviewers. Practically any other game would be a better option to spend your money on, especially when you consider that most good games go on sale for five to ten dollars within a year or two of their release. Just about everyone seems to agree that Postal 3 is extremely buggy and crash-prone, and not even fun. Going by the user reviews, even most fans of Postal 2, which had a 50 Metascore, seem to hate it. The game wasn't even made by the developers of the Postal series, but instead outsourced to a Russian company, and the series' developers have since removed the game from their online store and told people they shouldn't buy it.

Medal of Honor Warfighter also received somewhat poor reviews []. At least, they're poor enough that you probably shouldn't be in any hurry to play it, and if you really want to do so, you can probably wait for it to drop below $5, which shouldn't take long. Alan Wake is probably the only game considered to be good here. The rest might be priced lower than what they usually sell for, but if they're not good games, that's not much incentive to buy them.

Intropy 03-03-2013 11:51 AM

Woohoo, Portal 3!

Oh, Postal 3.

ll_po 03-03-2013 12:40 PM

Medal of Honor is a great game ruined somewhat by flaws, but at this price you'd get your money's worth. Alan Wake is a classic and a must buy at this price. I can't speak for Postal III for I've never played it. $0.02

buckcm 03-03-2013 02:00 PM

Get BF3 instead of a terrible game like MoH:W.

martianmisfit 03-03-2013 02:37 PM

I play MoH multiplayer at odd times and days / nights and have never had a problem finding matches to play.
My only gripe is the weapon customization and player selection UI's. They should've set it up a-la BF3.

Also for $3 went ahead and got Postal III.

finerva 03-03-2013 03:47 PM

Alan Wake was a lot of fun, highly recommend.

Can't remember a lot of games lately that I enjoyed so thoroughly and wanted to play simply to see what was going to happen next.

tool1970 03-03-2013 06:21 PM

Alan Wake is the only game here to think about, PLUS, it has 3.00 trade in to Best Buy which has double trade in right now. So 6 bucks store credit! Lost it on the XBOX, gained it on STEAM.

Major PLUS!!!!!

lucky88shp 03-03-2013 09:12 PM

Yup Alan Wake is the only game worth it if you don't own it already! An excellent game with amazing graphics, deep story, spooky atmosphere, great sounds, and very fluid gameplay! It is one engrossing game!

markitude 03-04-2013 03:14 PM

So do you have to install the GameFly client to download this, or can you just download it on Steam?

I see now they emailed me a key. So I just use this key on Steam?

edit: The answers to the above is no, yes, and yes.

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to downloading via GameFly or Steam?
