Naw that is the regular sata version, this is the msata version. Easy mistake to confuse them ;)

siennaLe2008 03-04-2013 02:21 AM

Yup, I mistaken it with other thread.. Have to go for a coffee now :)

THANKS OP! I get their email and usually check them when I have time each day for deals, but today I was in a hurry. I intended to buy this at $199 in a couple of days, and you just saved me 40 bucks (since it's now sold out).

Great deal, and great job. And not only is this not a repost, but the fact that this is mSATA makes it an even better deal - the Crucial mSATA has not been anywhere near this price for the last several weeks I've been watching.

Cheers

bigmace 03-04-2013 08:49 AM

Not a bad deal at all considering I paid $100 for 40gb Intel one of these when they hit the market.

rking0122 03-04-2013 09:01 AM

Forgive the (perhaps noob) question, but is the only difference in the mSATA version the size?

I have the regular M4 SATA (CT256M4SSD2) running in my MBP and it is lightning fast and over the past four months it has been awesome with zero issues.

some notebooks have a dedicated mSATA slot so you don't have to sacrifice the hard drive

pas45 03-04-2013 09:09 AM

Great thanks.. upgraded my 128 msata.

m32311 03-04-2013 09:17 AM

TU, OP! Been keeping an eye on a good price for one of these.. In 4 1!

Meetloaf 03-04-2013 09:21 AM

Not a repost.

I've had an itch to replace my 80GB Intel 310. If I can flip that one for $90, this is going to be uber uber.

Thanks OP

Thanks!, I luckily have been refreshing all day on newegg and came to post the same thing. Thanks for taking the time to say it too:)

TBlosser 03-04-2013 09:50 AM

I'm holding out for a 120 - 128 GB SSD drive. The last great deal I found was the Kingston 120 GB at Staples which price matched Office Depot's 30% coupon. It brought the drive down to $62. Unfortunately for me, I did not get to Staples in time before they sold out.

pinsomniac 03-04-2013 09:53 AM

Bah. I have a 120GB BP4 arriving tomorrow that I got for $100. This is clearly the better performer/value, but I don't actually need all that storage. Decisions...

Great deal, OP. Repped.

The new Dell XPS line does :).

Upgrading my 128GB to 256GB thanks to you.

starck22 03-04-2013 10:02 AM

Saw this morning that they were sold out. Checked back and saw this thread up and bought one! I'm probably being a noob here, but I did check with the Crucial website and this is the same as their internal part number of CT3910790 for those wondering.

JohnRambo 03-04-2013 10:07 AM

So this can be Best Buy B&M price matched (if its carried) now? Have $200 GC there...

webjock 03-04-2013 10:08 AM

Great price. I had the 128GB one and I had to take it out of my laptop to use in my Drobo 5D for acceleration. Now, my Thinkpad will be back to running three SSDs.

landon87 03-04-2013 10:12 AM

Hm, these work well with the intel NUC?

FAMIR 03-04-2013 10:15 AM

I have a Dell 17R 5720 that Dell stated the mSATA will only take 32GB, anybody know this will work at all? Supposedly I should just get something 32GB or 64GB but those are not at discount any time.

k-y 03-04-2013 10:26 AM

What determines if this will work in one laptop model vs another? Last time I emailed Crucial directly about this they said it wouldn't work with my Dell M4600.

joogle 03-04-2013 10:31 AM

good price, i'm still hesitant to remove the keyboard in my x230 to install this drive

dholcombe 03-04-2013 10:36 AM

Got my email from Newegg, went and ordered one, then came to check if there is a thread and there of course is.

Interestingly it must have gone out of stock momentarily as it got removed from my cart for stock/availability reasons. So I went and re-added it an made it through checkout successfully. If they're not out they're definitely low or low on how many they want to sell at this price.

IFORGOT 03-04-2013 10:41 AM

Thanks OP, ended up ordering one for my current desktop with thoughts of possibly moving it to my laptop in the near future.

OUT OF STOCK so that's the reason. It's a waste of time going through a post and then finding its OOS.

It's also annoying to troll a perfectly legit thread with your OOS whinings simply because you were too slow or didn't have the chance to capitalize...especially since deals like these at Newegg are notorious for going in and out of stock until the price goes back up.

Is it that hard to change or edit the title to show OOS? I guess it's easier to leave it be and let others waste time

Meetloaf 03-06-2013 05:06 PM

Just an update. I received mine, cloned from my smaller 80GB SSD using Clonezilla liveCD. This puppy flies.

Thanks again OP.

And grandmstr, I agree, he should have updated OP. But, in his defense, this thing went in and out of stock several times.
