it seems like only one promo is good at a time / cannot be combined. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but even though 4 promos added to the cart it never decreased the $$ value.

TheBagman 03-04-2013 11:50 AM

Good deal. I have an 8800 MAH one and love it.

CCyanescens 03-04-2013 12:02 PM

Anybody have feedback on how different this is from the IMP120D iCarrier 12000mAh [amazon.com]?

The IMP120D seems to retail for higher, and I have been kicking myself for the longest time since I passed on it (from Amazon) for under $60 a few months ago.

The main differences I see are that the NT120T does NOT include a carrying pouch, and does NOT have a dedicated (proprietary) charger, it charges via USB.

I see the latter as an advantage, although the IMP120D's AC adapter apparently supplies up to 2A, while it seems the NT120T may only draw at a maximum of 1A. Since I'll likely be charging this overnight and very infrequently, I'd say that's not a big deal, and not having to lug around another dedicated AC adapter is definitely a plus.

Sorry to have asked and answered myself, but I hope the information helps some folks.

any thoughts on this cheepo Chinese generic? It has a pretty good following on XDA Dev forum. I bought one and it does what I need. I have nothing to compare to so I can't say too much. The case is pretty solidly built, which was a surprise. Its about $25 or a bit less if you want to wait for HK delivery.

Thats pretty much the same as the one I linked above. One thing to be concerned about is that I just searched the 18650 parts on the one pictured on XDA and the two batteries shown may not actually be 3000 MAH based on the part numbers listed. I found 2400 MAH and 2600 MAH for the two.

I have the IMP120D. It is quite heavy and bulky and also needs a proprietary charger. I think this is a better deal.

What $40 dollar one do I buy and which $30 dollar one do I get for free?

Edit - Found it - it was one click away. Thanks.

Just chipping in that I've been pretty happy with my New Trent chargers. Very handy on the job, in the car, on the go, or when I would rather keep my device plugged in for movement around the home.

I'd be a bit wary of the second product because of the low number of reviews (8, versus nearly 1,000 for the IMP120D and over 150 for the NT120T), as well as the "3.7v" in the product title.

Samlt2k1 03-04-2013 01:25 PM

so many links and combos in here... which one is the best??

That is the best one IMO. Should be the first option

The removable battery on BlackBerry phones eliminates the need for expensive products like this which is one of the reasons I stay loyal to the company. BlackBerry has also been good with using standard ports.

Hmm, is it a 10000 mah unit then?

Yea, that has worked well for them so far....if 10 isn't a big hit, they will be gone....

I don't understand why at this price these things are so popular. Seems to me like they are a waste of money. I got two 2000 MAh batteries plus additional chargers for $15 on ebay. Granted it's not the same thing and you can't do that with an Apple product, but $50+ bucks for a battery with USB connectors but not enough amperage to charge newer devices?

It honestly seems like a waste and something else you'll forget (or forget the charger for)...

Now if you could charge this batter pack in an hour or something, I might be game thinking it's great, but if it charges as slow as my other devices, it'll take a full day (or more) to go from zero charge to full and that just doesn't seem cool.

But, if it's something you need (like camping) it totally makes sense, though I still think you should be able to go cheaper...

ralphwiggum1 03-04-2013 08:36 PM

You can get two of the 12000mAh ones for $85 total when using coupon code HALFPRIC. Takes of $35 instead of $30.

chown 03-04-2013 09:10 PM

I was actually looking at getting one of these a few weeks ago. I was going to get an i.Sound though since they have a 16,000mAh model and it has more USB ports, a built-in flashlight, etc. http://www.provantage.com/dreamge...RMG09U.htm

Oh wow, it already sold out too. :|

boxz0r 03-05-2013 03:32 AM

I'm new to these battery packs, can someone point me in the right direction? I have an LG Esteem, with an extended battery life 3600 mAh. I've been finding it too bulky lately and want to switch back to original battery, which is only 1500mAh. I feel like i'll need one of these if i switch back to original. I want the best bang for your buck battery pack, even if i have to wait for another deal. That 22$ one looks pretty good so far. Any input? Thanks!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S III - with removable battery. Since I use a case, not so easy exchanging batteries, and since the Galaxy's are so fragile (relative to BB) most of us need to use a case.
